Role of servicescape in patients’ clinic care waiting experience: Evidence from developing countries
2024
The aim of this research is to investigate the role of servicescape on re-patronage and recommended intention through pleasure feeling and satisfaction in healthcare settings that put substantial contribution in the process of healthcare service delivery. Data were collected through cross-sectional convenience sampling via a self-administered survey questionnaire from 431 clinical outpatients who revisit the same hospital of metropolitan areas of Punjab, Pakistan. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was carried out for path analysis through AMOS (24.0 V), while statistical measures were analyzed using SPSS (25.0 V). The present study results revealed that patients’ intention optimistically triggered through partial mediation and affirm the direct and indirect association with servicescape. It also revealed that patient-recommended and re-patronage intentions to visit the clinic were statistically substantial and positively influenced by intervening constructs of pleasure feeling and satisfaction. Additionally, it is found that servicescape and pleasure feeling contributed to 30% change in satisfaction. Moreover, pleasure feeling, and satisfaction contributed to 50% change in re-patronage and 31% change in recommendation intention of the patients. The current study findings contribute significantly to servicescape literature from a theatrical perspective and reevaluate the patterns and operations in healthcare. It also helps managers and administrators of private hospitals to make strategies to increase patient satisfaction.

Stress altruistically disrupts employee productivity in private educational institutions, and there is an observed association between knowledge hiding and stress factors among employees despite the remedial role of servant leadership. Present study examines the impact of stress on employee productivity in private educational institutions, explores its association with knowledge hiding, and evaluates the role of servant leadership in alleviating stress and reducing knowledge hiding practices. The researcher employed a convenience sampling technique to collect data from 613 academicians through paper survey who working in higher education institutions in southern Punjab, Pakistan. The collected data were analyzed through AMOS version (25.0) for path analysis. The findings revealed that stress factors predicted employee altruism and supplementary stimulates productivity and servant leadership reinforces the association between knowledge hiding and employee productivity. The present research sheds light on how and whereupon stress factors affect employee productivity, with inferences for private administration enactments and encouraging productivity. The findings offer practical insights for managers to reduce stress-induced productivity losses and knowledge hiding through servant leadership, while the research contributes theoretically by exploring altruistic stress dimensions and emphasizing the moderating role of servant leadership in enhancing knowledge sharing.

Communal relationships
2025
This study explores the effect of sustainability communication on employee ecological behavior in green hospitals in China, with the mediating effects of communal relationships and ecological norms and the moderating effect of green warm glow. The study design was a cross-sectional survey conducted with 428 employees of several green hospitals. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the data in testing the hypothesized relationships. The results show that sustainability communication has a direct positive influence (
β
= 0.238,
p
< 0.001), and an indirect positive influence on ecological behavior through communal relationships (
β
= 0.095,
p
< 0.001) and ecological norms (
β
= 0.074,
p
< 0.001). Furthermore, green warm glow significantly buffers the relationship between communal relationships and ecological behavior (
β
= 0.107,
p
< 0.001), while failing to significantly buffer the relationship through ecological norms (
β
= 0.009,
p
= 0.831). These results reinforce the importance of effective sustainability communication strategies in developing ecological behavior, via psychological and relational pathways, with the potential to increase sustainability practices in the healthcare sector.

South Asia, the home of 23% population of the world, is adversely affected by climate change, global warming, floods, hurricanes and heat waves. Pakistan, as a member country of South Asia, is the 5th country in the world which is most vulnerable to climatic changes. The country has faced many challenges including deaths of 9989 individuals, economic loss of worth $ 3.8 billion, and more than 150 unexpected weathers during last two decades. Global climate index also mentioned that Pakistan’s vulnerability to climate change will rise even further in coming years. Pollution from agriculture sector is believed to be the largest significant contributor for this situation that accounts for 41% of total pollution. The above stats paint a bleak picture of future for the country and calls for emergency measures, to be taken on war like footings, if future climatic impact is to be minimized. With this background, we argue that climate smart agriculture (CSA) may be a strategic option that can help the country for improving agricultural productivity and income, as well as building resilience to climate change and environmental management. The present research study highlights the importance of CSA in the context of an emerging economy like Pakistan and suggests some strategic considerations for policy makers in order to improve the current environmental situation, mainly caused by widespread pollution in the country.
Highlights
This study highlights CSA as a key solution for boosting agriculture and climate resilience in Pakistan.
This study links CSA adoption in Pakistan to global climate goals and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
This study provides short- and long-term strategies for CSA adoption to guide policymakers on key actions.

This study examined the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication on social media on green buying behavior in Pakistan's banking sector, focusing on the mediating role of ecological concern and the moderating role of green advertising. We recruited a sample of 392 banking customers and conducted structural equation modeling using partial least squares. The findings revealed that CSR communication significantly predicted ecological concern, which, in turn, positively predicted green buying behavior. Green advertising further amplified the relationship between CSR and ecological concern. This study's findings emphasize the importance of leveraging social media for effective CSR communication and strategic green advertising to promote environmental sustainability. Practical recommendations include banks using social media to communicate CSR initiatives and designing targeted green advertising campaigns.

Food-Waste-Reduction Behavior
2025
In this research we examined the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on the food-waste-reduction behavior of employees in the Chinese foodservice industry, incorporating intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy as mediators. We collected data from 366 employees across restaurants,
catering companies, and hotel dining services in three major Chinese cities. Using SMART-PLS for data analysis, we discovered that CSR positively affected sustainable behaviors both directly and indirectly through the mediating psychological mechanisms of intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy.
These findings indicate that CSR can lead to a sustainable culture in organizations and imply that strengthening employees' self-efficacy and intrinsic motivation can significantly enhance this effect. Our study enriches theoretical understanding of the role of CSR in fostering sustainable
practices and provides practical insights for firms aiming to improve their environmental performance.

In this study the physicochemical interactions of acefylline piperazine drug (APD) were examined in aqueous and aqueous polymer systems viz., aqueous polyethylene glycol (1.0 %w/v) and aqueous polyvinyl pyrrolidone (1.0% w/v). The study was carried within the concentration ranges from 2.0×10-2 to 10.0 ×10-2 mol/dm3 at different temperatures (293.15 to 318.15 K with the difference of 5 K). Various analytical methods such as conductometric, refractometry, and liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) were applied. In order to observe the interaction of APD, o m was calculated to evaluate the structural influence of polymers on the mobility of solute (APD) at different temperatures. α, Kd and Walden product of APD were also assessed in aqueous polyethylene glycol and aqueous polyvinyl pyrrolidone. Solvation was observed by Walden's product showing strong solvation of APD in water-soluble polymer systems. Thermodynamic parameters for APD such as * E , ΔG*, ΔH*and ΔS* have also been evaluated as a function of temperature to determine the exo/endothermic nature of the drug dissociation process. Specific refraction, molar refraction and polarizability of APD in aqueous and aqueous polymer systems were calculated using the Lorentz-Lorentz equation and various interactions were interpreted. Drug's compatibility studies were also performed by HPLC in aqueous and aqueous polymer systems.
