Revisiting minjung : new perspectives on the cultural history of 1980s South Korea
\"An epoch-marking alliance of laborers, students, dissident intellectuals, and ordinary citizens was at the heart of South Korea's transformation from a dictatorship into a vibrant democracy during the 1980s. Collectively known as the minjung (\"the people\"), these agents of Korean democratization historically carved out an expanded role for civil society in the country's politics. In Revisiting Minjung, some of the foremost experts in 1980s Korean history, literature, film, art, and music provide new insights into one of the most crucial decades in South Korean history. Sentiment analysis of internet posts on vaccination using ChatGPT and comparison with actual vaccination rates in South Korea version 3; peer review: 1 approved, 1 approved with reservations

Background
This study used ChatGPT for sentiment analysis to investigate the possible links between online sentiments and COVID-19 vaccination rates. It also examines Internet posts to understand the attitudes and reasons associated with vaccine-related opinions.
Methods
We collected 500,558 posts over 60 weeks from the Blind platform, mainly used by working individuals, and 854 relevant posts were analyzed. After excluding duplicates and irrelevant content, attitudes toward and reasons for vaccine opinions were studied through sentiment analysis. The study further correlated these categorized attitudes with the actual vaccination data.
Results
The proportions of posts expressing positive, negative, and neutral attitudes toward COVID-19 vaccines were 5%, 83%, and 12%, respectively. The total post count showed a positive correlation with the vaccination rate, indicating a high correlation between the number of negative posts about the vaccine and the vaccination rate. Negative attitudes were predominantly associated with societal distrust and perceived oppression.
Conclusions
This study demonstrates the interplay between public perceptions of COVID-19 vaccines as expressed through social media and vaccination behavior. These correlations can serve as useful clues for devising effective vaccination strategies.

Factors Influencing Preservice Teachers' Intention to Use Technology: TPACK, Teacher Self efficacy, and Technology Acceptance Model

This study aimed to investigate structural relationships between TPACK, teacher self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness for preservice teachers who intend to use technology, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A total of 296 responses from the College of Education from three Korean universities were analyzed by employing the structural equation modeling methods. The results indicated that preservice teachers' TPACK significantly affected teacher self-efficacy and perceived ease of using technology. The teachers' TPACK also positively influenced their perceived ease of using technology and perceived usefulness of technology in the classroom. Finally, teacher self-efficacy, perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness of using technology affected teachers' intention to use technology. However, TPACK did not directly affect their intention to use technology. Based on the findings, we discuss implications and suggest future research directions for preservice teachers' intention to use technology.

Corpus Analysis of L2 English Article Usage Patterns & Pedagogical Implications

There has been plenty of observational evidence displaying that L2 English learners whose L1 do not have article systems undergo persistent difficulties. It is known that functional categories of grammar are especially difficult for L2 learners, and the Korean language does not have a functional equivalent to English articles. The current study aims to investigate article usage patterns by L1 Korean L2 English learners by employing a large English interlanguage corpus data; ICNALE written corpus data. Particularly, the current study focuses on the analysis of a specific NP, \"part-time jobs\". The current research claims that by narrowing down the scope of analysis to a particular NP, one can expect more reliable and meaningful interpretation from L2 learners' authentic language production, which can ultimately lead to more effective language instruction and better outcomes for second language learners. The current study seeks to describe patterns of L2 English articles across different proficiency levels. According to the results, it was found that learners' article usage patterns appeared to be more similar to that of the native speaker in the group with higher English proficiency. One of the interesting findings was the frequent use of bare nominals even in the most advanced learners. Based on the corpus analysis, the current study provides the pedagogical implication that teaching structural differences between learners' L1 and L2 is very important and article instruction should be emphasized in L2 classrooms in EFL settings.

Fostering organizational learning through leadership and knowledge sharing

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among transformational leadership, knowledge sharing climate and behavior, interpersonal trust and organizational learning.
Design/methodology/approach
Data from 209 participants from a manufacturing company in Korea were analyzed using the structural equation modeling method.
Findings
The findings of the study indicated that transformational leadership directly affected the knowledge sharing climate and behavior, interpersonal trust and organizational learning of an organization. Transformational leadership also indirectly affected organizational learning through knowledge climate and behavior, and interpersonal trust. In addition, a knowledge sharing climate directly affected interpersonal trust and knowledge sharing behavior and indirectly affected organizational learning through interpersonal trust and knowledge behavior. Interpersonal trust directly affected knowledge sharing behavior and indirectly affected organizational learning through knowledge sharing behavior. Finally, knowledge sharing behavior positively affected organizational learning.
Research limitations/implications
The results highlight the important role of transformational leadership to enhance the knowledge sharing climate and behavior of employees, interpersonal trust and organizational learning. This study also indicated that transformational leadership, interpersonal trust and knowledge sharing behavior are antecedents of organizational learning.
Practical implications
The study’s findings could motivate practitioners to place more emphasis on leadership support, knowledge sharing and organizational learning in the manufacturing sector.
Originality/value
The study provided diverse paths indicating how transformational leadership can impact organizational learning by examining both the direct and indirect paths between transformational leadership, multiple mediators and organizational learning. It also suggested a research framework for supporting transformational leadership, knowledge sharing and organizational learning, as well as their relationships by examining the three variables in one research model.
