Information and thermodynamic fundamentals of cyber physical systems modeling
The issues of cyber physical systems modeling are considered. The criteria of information and energy efficiency for cyber physical systems as the main object of innovation are proposed. The creation of cyber physical systems is proposed to be considered within the framework of structured problem areas and related tasks of disclosing uncertainty when creating innovations. Structures of problem areas, including databases and knowledge bases, determine the possibility of composition and decomposition of cyber physical systems. It is proposed to use models of thermodynamic and informational entropy to formulate goals and evaluate the properties of cyber physical systems. The use of informational entropy is obvious, the use of thermodynamic entropy and energy efficiency estimates are determined by global problems and trends in innovation. These include, inter alia, the transition from energy-intensive technologies and industries to high-tech. The issues of the relationship of thermodynamic and informational entropy are considered. The transition to the presentation of the life cycle of cyber physical systems at the levels of the problem domain and the further transition to the end-to-end digital life cycle are proposed to be performed by decomposing the goal and applying system and process models.
Endoresection of choroidal melanoma by vitreoretinal approach in patients after radiation therapy
Relevance. Endovitreal resection (EVR) of choroidal melanoma (CM) is presented in international sources as a method that improves patient treatment outcomes. Purpos. To evaluate the first treatment outcomes for patients with CM after radiation therapy (RT) using EVR via the vitreoretinal approach. Material and methods. Study group included 21 patients with CM (ICD-10 C69.3). EVAR was performed from 01.2023 to 12.2024. Age: from 35 to 77 years (59.2±10.3). There were 8 men and 13 women. The tumor prevalence was cT1–T4 M0N0. In all cases, the tumor was localized beyond the equatorial zone of the eye. The tumor dimensions before RT were: base diameter — 10.3±4.2 mm, thickness — 5.3±2.6 mm, and before EVAR — 8.9±2.9 and 4.5±2.4 mm, respectively. EVAR of the tumor was performed when the tumor was stabilized during the observation period after RT (BT+SRS) from 4 to 84 (26.5±19.4) months. EVR was performed using the Bausch & Lomb Stellaris PC combined operating system, three-port access of 23 G (8 surgeries) and 23 G (15 surgeries): closed subtotal vitrectomy (CVE), tumor endoresection with sampling of material for cytological examination, endolaser coagulation of the retina, and, if indicated, tamponade of the vitreous cavity with silicone oil. The observation period after tumor endoresection was 8.8±2.8 months. Results. No intraoperative or early postoperative complications were observed. Silicone oil extrusion was performed in six patients after 5 months. Three patients underwent phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation in the period from 1 to 9 months after surgery due to the development of lens opacity; one patient underwent filtering surgery for hypotensive purposes, as indicated. Enucleation of the eyeball was performed in one patient (4.7%), 55 years old, with MC at T3N0M0, stage II, 9 months after SRS and endoresection due to the development of uncompensated secondary glaucoma. All patients are alive, no progression of the tumor process was revealed according to the results of examinations during the observation period of 8.8±2.8 months after EVAR. Conclusion. Endovitreal resection of CM can be used after RT in patients with a risk of organ loss due to complications of the tumor process («toxic tumor syndrome», prolonged absence of tumor resorption with the risk of developing continued growth).
The remote technical equipment monitoring system for light aircraft
The concept of monitoring the technical parameters of light aircraft equipment (less than 5700 kg) are considered, which is based on the principles of building automated telemetry systems. The proposed monitoring concept will allow to test the condition of aircraft both in the aircraft repair plant and during operation. Decision support will be provided for repair planning based on the current parameters of the controlled equipment of light aircraft. The features of the implementation and functioning of the system for monitoring the technical parameters of equipment are considered.
Assurance of reliability and safety in liquid hydrocarbons marine transportation and storing
The problems of assurance of safety and reliability in the liquid hydrocarbons marine transportation and storing are described. The requirements of standard IEC61511 have to be fulfilled for the load/unload in tanker's system under dynamic loads on the pipeline system. The safety zones for fires of the type \"fireball\" and the spillage have to be determined when storing the liquid hydrocarbons. An example of the achieved necessary safety level of the duplicated load system, the conditions of the pipelines reliable operation under dynamic loads, the principles of the method of the liquid hydrocarbons storage safety zones under possible accident conditions are represented.
Models for formation and choice of variants for organizing digital electronics manufacturing
The directions of organizing digital electronics manufacturing are considered by the example of surface mount technology. The basic equipment choice has to include not only individual characteristics, but also mutual influence of individual machines and the results of design for manufacturing. Application of special cases of the Utility function which are complicated in the general representation of polynomial functions are proposed for estimation of product quality in a staged automation.
Determination of the rate of atmospheric corrosion of metal structures by the method of polarization resistance
We consider a method aimed at the determination of the rate of atmospheric corrosion in metallic structures according to the polarization resistance based on the use of multielectrode sensors with cosurface location of the electrodes (applied to increase the sensitivity of measurements). The serviceability of four models of electrochemical sensors intended for the monitoring of metallic structures under the conditions of atmospheric corrosion for an atmospheric humidity of 100 % and temperatures of 24, 40, 50, and 70°C is investigated. It is shown that, by decreasing the thickness of the insulating interlayer, the width of electrodes, and their number, it is possible to increase the accuracy and sensitivity of measurements of the corrosion rate in humid atmospheres. The developed sensors prove to be suitable for the purposes of monitoring of the corrosion rate in metallic structures operating under the atmospheric conditions, including closed volumes.
