The freak incident occurred at Garshooey, between Killea and Carrigans, on Wednesday afternoon. The bus was stationary at the time as a young child was being dropped off. A plank and ladder came slid off the back of a passing van travelling in the Derry direction. \"The plank was on a trailer being pulled by a passing van when it became dislodged, flew through the windscreen on the passenger side and hit the inside roof, just above the driver's head...It's a miracle no one was killed, or even injured.\"
