Seven people are dead, including one in a car on the ground,after a twin-engine medevac jet carrying a child patient and hermother crashed in a neighborhood in northeast Philadelphia Fridaynight, Philadelphia's mayor said Saturday morning. At least 19 wereinjured on the ground. The Learjet 55 crashed after departing fromNortheast Philadelphia Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration.Radio audio from air traffic control describes the downed Learjet inPhiladelphia as a \"medevac\" flight. Investigators are intensifyingtheir search into what caused the collision between American AirlinesFlight 5342 and an Army Black Hawk helicopter, with recovery crewsstill working to pull wreckage from the Potomac River and initialconcerns already raised about the path of at least one of theaircraft. The helicopter was on a training mission when it collidedWednesday night with a commercial plane that was on approach to landat Washington's Reagan National Airport, killing all 64 aboard theplane and the three soldiers in the helicopter, officials have said.The flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder, known as blackboxes from the American Airlines plane have been recovered, the NTSBtold CNN.
