Multi-Attitude Hybrid Network for Remote Sensing Hyperspectral Images Super-Resolution
Benefiting from the development of deep learning, the super-resolution technology for remote sensing hyperspectral images (HSIs) has achieved impressive progress. However, due to the high coupling of complex components in remote sensing HSIs, it is challenging to achieve a complete characterization of the internal information, which in turn limits the precise reconstruction of detailed texture and spectral features. Therefore, we propose the multi-attitude hybrid network (MAHN) for extracting and characterizing information from multiple feature spaces. On the one hand, we construct the spectral hypergraph cross-attention module (SHCAM) and the spatial hypergraph self-attention module (SHSAM) based on the high and low-frequency features in the spectral and the spatial domains, respectively, which are used to capture the main structure and detail changes within the image. On the other hand, high-level semantic information in mixed pixels is parsed by spectral mixture analysis, and semantic hypergraph 3D module (SH3M) are constructed based on the abundance of each category to enhance the propagation and reconstruction of semantic information. Furthermore, to mitigate the domain discrepancies among features, we introduce a sensitive bands attention mechanism (SBAM) to enhance the cross-guidance and fusion of multi-domain features. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method achieves optimal reconstruction results compared to other state-of-the-art algorithms while effectively reducing the computational complexity.

Effect of Different Membranes on Vertical Bone Regeneration: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis
This study is aimed at performing a systematic review and a network meta-analysis of the effects of several membranes on vertical bone regeneration and clinical complications in guided bone regeneration (GBR) or guided tissue regeneration (GTR). We compared the effects of the following membranes: high-density polytetrafluoroethylene (d-PTFE), expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-PTFE), crosslinked collagen membrane (CCM), noncrosslinked collagen membrane (CM), titanium mesh (TM), titanium mesh plus noncrosslinked (TM + CM), titanium mesh plus crosslinked (TM + CCM), titanium-reinforced d-PTFE, titanium-reinforced e-PTFE, polylactic acid (PLA), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and polylactic acid 910 (PLA910). Using the PICOS principles to help determine inclusion criteria, articles are collected using PubMed, Web of Science, and other databases. Assess the risk of deviation and the quality of evidence using the Cochrane Evaluation Manual, and GRADE. 27 articles were finally included. 19 articles were included in a network meta-analysis with vertical bone increment as an outcome measure. The network meta-analysis includes network diagrams, paired-comparison forest diagrams, funnel diagrams, surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) diagrams, and sensitivity analysis diagrams. SUCRA indicated that titanium-reinforced d-PTFE exhibited the highest vertical bone increment effect. Meanwhile, we analyzed the complications of 19 studies and found that soft tissue injury and membrane exposure were the most common complications.
Exosomes loaded a smart bilayer-hydrogel scaffold with ROS-scavenging and macrophage-reprogramming properties for repairing cartilage defect
Enhancing the regeneration of cartilage defects remains challenging owing to limited innate self-healing as well as acute inflammation arising from the overexpression of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in post-traumatic microenvironments. Recently, stem cell-derived exosomes (Exos) have been developed as potential cell-free therapy for cartilage regeneration. Although this approach promotes chondrogenesis, it neglects the emerging inflammatory microenvironment. In this study, a smart bilayer-hydrogel dual-loaded with sodium diclofenac (DC), an anti-inflammatory drug, and Exos from bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells was developed to mitigate initial-stage inflammation and promote late-stage stem-cell recruitment and chondrogenic differentiation. First, the upper-hydrogel composed of phenylboronic-acid-crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol degrades in response to elevated levels of ROS to release DC, which mitigates oxidative stress, thus reprogramming macrophages to the pro-healing state. Subsequently, Exos are slowly released from the lower-hydrogel composed of hyaluronic acid into an optimal microenvironment for the stimulation of chondrogenesis. Both in vitro and in vivo assays confirmed that the dual-loaded bilayer-hydrogel reduced post-traumatic inflammation and enhanced cartilage regeneration by effectively scavenging ROS and reprogramming macrophages. The proposed platform provides multi-staged therapy, which allows for the optimal harnessing of Exos as a therapeutic for cartilage regeneration. [Display omitted] •A bilayer-hydrogel scaffold loaded with DC and Exos integrates the inflammatory phase and proliferative phase.•Upper-hydrogel with ROS-scavenging and macrophage-reprogramming properties improves the inflammatory environment.•Exos function optimally in the favorable \"umbrella\" environment created by the upper-hydrogel, promoting cartilage repair.
Poloxamer-Based Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering Applications: A Review
Poloxamer is a triblock copolymer with amphiphilicity and reversible thermal responsiveness and has wide application prospects in biomedical applications owing to its multifunctional properties. Poloxamer hydrogels play a crucial role in the field of tissue engineering and have been regarded as injectable scaffolds for loading cells or growth factors (GFs) in the last few years. Hydrogel micelles can maintain the integrity and stability of cells and GFs and form an appropriate vascular network at the application site, thus creating an appropriate microenvironment for cell growth, nerve growth, or bone integration. The injectability and low toxicity of poloxamer hydrogels make them a noninvasive method. In addition, they can also be good candidates for bio-inks, the raw material for three-dimensional (3D) printing. However, the potential of poloxamer hydrogels has not been fully explored owing to the complex biological challenges. In this review, the latest progress and cutting-edge research of poloxamer-based scaffolds in different fields of application such as the bone, vascular, cartilage, skin, nervous system, and organs in tissue engineering and 3D printing are reviewed, and the important roles of poloxamers in tissue engineering scaffolds are discussed in depth.
Therapeutic application of mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes in skin wound healing
Wound healing is a complicated obstacle, especially for chronic wounds. Mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes may be a promising cell-free approach for treating skin wound healing. Exosomes can accelerate wound healing by attenuating inflammation, promoting angiogenesis, cell proliferation, extracellular matrix production and remodeling. However, many issues, such as off-target effects and high degradation of exosomes in wound sites need to be addressed before applying into clinical therapy. Therefore, the bioengineering technology has been introduced to modify exosomes with greater stability and specific therapeutic property. To prolong the function time and the local concentration of exosomes in the wound bed, the use of biomaterials to load exosomes emerges as a promising strategy. In this review, we summarize the biogenesis and characteristics of exosomes, the role of exosomes in wound healing, and the therapeutic applications of modified-exosomes in wound healing. The challenges and prospects of exosomes in wound healing are also discussed.
Review of Cracked Tooth Syndrome: Etiology, Diagnosis, Management, and Prevention
Cracked tooth syndrome refers to a series of symptoms caused by cracked teeth. This article reviews the current literature on cracked tooth syndrome from four aspects, etiology, diagnosis, management, and prevention, to provide readers integrated information about this. The article begins with an introduction to the odontiatrogenic factors and then covers the noniatrogenic factors that induce cracked tooth syndrome. While the former discusses inappropriate root canal therapy and improper restorative procedures, the latter covers the topics such as the developmental and functional status of cracked tooth syndrome. This is then followed by the description of common clinical diagnosis methods, the prospects of new technologies, and summaries of current clinical management methods, including immediate management and direct and indirect restoration. In the final section, preventive methods and their importance are proposed, with the aim of educating the common population.
Video supervised for 3D reconstruction from single image
As a long-standing ill-posed problem, 3D reconstruction from a single image is an important research topic in computer vision. The information in a single image can represent an infinite number of possible three-dimensional shapes. To recover reasonable object geometry from a single image requires a correct shape prior. Thus, using what kind of supervision and how to make better use of training data are key issues. In this paper, we propose a framework for 3D reconstruction from single image with video supervision. On the one hand, we build a temporal network to generate fine 3D structure from video input benefiting from its temporal correlation. On the other hand, we introduce the knowledge distillation to transfer the shape prior extracted from the video. Also the mechanism ensures that the student network which for single image reconstruction can make full use of the knowledge learned from the teacher network which receives video input. In the inference phase, we can use the student network independently. Extensive experiments on ShapeNet show the superiority of our method.
Progressive decomposition: a method of coarse-to-fine image parsing using stacked networks
To parse images into fine-grained semantic parts, the complex elements will put it in trouble when using off-the-shelf semantic segmentation networks, because it is difficult for them to utilize the contextual information of fine-grained parts. In this paper we propose a progressive decomposition method to parse images in a coarse-to-fine manner with refined semantic classes. It consists of two aspects: stacked networks and progressive supervisions. The stacked network is achieved by stacking some segmentation layers in a segmentation network. The former segmentation module parses images at a coarser-grained level, and the result will be fed to the following one to provide effective contextual clues for the finer-grained parsing. The skip connections from shallow layers of the network to fine-grained parsing modules are also added to recover the details of small structures. For the training of the stacked networks which have coarse-to-fine outputs, a strategy of progressive supervision is proposed to merge classes in ground truth to get coarse-to-fine label maps, and then train the stacked network end-to-end with the hierarchical supervisions. The proposed framework can be injected into many advanced neural networks to improve the parsing results. Extensive evaluations on several public datasets including face parsing and human parsing well demonstrate the superiority of our method.
Fluoride Coatings on Magnesium Alloy Implants
After several years of research and development, it has been reported that magnesium alloys can be used as degradable metals in some medical device applications. Over the years, fluoride coatings have received increasing research attention for improving the corrosion resistance of magnesium. In this paper, different methods for preparing fluoride coatings and the characteristics of these coatings are reported for the first time. The influence of the preparation conditions of fluoride coatings, including the magnesium substrate, voltage, and electrolyte, on the coatings is discussed. Various properties of magnesium fluoride coatings are also summarized, with an emphasis on corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, and biocompatibility. We screened experiments and papers that planned the application of magnesium fluoride coatings in living organisms. We have selected the literature with the aim of enhancing the performance of in vivo implants for reading and further detailed classification. The authors searched PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, and other databases for 688 relevant papers published between 2005 and 2021, citing 105 of them. The selected time range is the last 16 years. Furthermore, this paper systematically discusses future prospects and challenges related to the application of magnesium fluoride coatings to medical products.
