Sabor : flavours from a Spanish kitchen
\"Nieves Barragan Mohacho has a Michelin star and is best known as the head chef at Barrafina, the world famous tapas restaurant. But Sabor: My Spanish Cooking is the food that the Basque-born chef likes to cook when she's off duty; the food that she grew up eating and the food that she still makes for friends and family. The recipes range from hearty dishes such as braised Iberian pork ribs and chorizo and potato stew, to lighter fare such as seafood skewers, clams in salsa verde and stuffed piquillo peppers, and a wealth of other recipes, from grilled hispi cabbage to baked cauliflower with salted almonds, chilli and shallots.\" -- Provided by publisher.
COPS SAY BLAZE THAT KILLED SIX WAS ARSON
The Cook County state's attorney's office is conducting what spokeswoman Marcy O'Boyle calls \"an ongoing investigation\" of the Wednesday afternoon police chase that began in Worth and ended in Oak Lawn, with a crash that fatally injured two Justice women. The crash -- in which the pursued car struck another vehicle, killing its occupants, 48-year-old Peggy Taylor and her daughter, 23-year-old Angela Stallworth -- has been defended by Worth Police Chief Frank Gilbert, who said an initial investigation indicates his officers \"acted within the guidelines of the department policies in this matter.\" The occupants of the vehicle that police were chasing, 36- year-old Earl Johnson and 39-year-old Andrea Cumming of Chicago, were released to the custody of Oak Lawn police after treatment at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
