Keep your credit cards handy, it doesn't finish there. If you're interested in getting the full Fabs picture - and let's be honest, the box set crowd is largely made of this sort of \"enthusiast\" - you'll be wanting The Beatles In Mono box set, and for this you'll have to make an additional pounds 158 come together. That's just short of pounds 300 for some albums you already have. Truly, they saw you standing there. the real biscuit-taker has to be the Pixies' Minotaur, a box set so complicated it has its own YouTube video to explain it. Curated by 4AD designer Vaughan Oliver and photographer Simon Larbalestier, it crosses the line from record release to art installation and appears to be more of a project for them than the band. But don't miss out on the limited edition, housed in a \"custom clam shell\". At $495, that's half a monkey gone to heaven.

SUDAFED CONGESTION & HEADACHE \"Brian, it's Sue on Third!!!\" Aside from simply standing up, marching over to her desk and repeatedly punching her until satisfaction is achieved, there appears to be only one way to block out relentlessly chirpy office colleagues like Sue. Can you guess what it is? Yes, that's right: take drugs! Relax, it's all legal. Our heroine - let's call her Bridget shall we? - has an excuse for caning the Sudafed like it's 1989: she's got a cold. Boo hoo! Why she didn't just take the day off is beyond me.

The Guide: Music: Waiting around for Kevin Shields is all part of the fun, reckons Ben Wardle
2009
Isn't this precisely what pop is all about: eccentric stars who always do the least predictable thing thereby upsetting the suits but tantalising press and punters alike? Isn't that why we love Brian Wilson, Phil Spector or Syd Barrett? Isn't that why we once loved Pete Doherty? These days the music business is almost entirely made up of sensible careerists who would sooner throw in the towel than deliver their \"product\" late. So don't listen to anyone, [Kevin Shields], make like your fans and keep your hands firmly over your ears.
