Srategy and performance of knowledge flow : university-industry collaborative innovation in China
This book constructs a model of the knowledge value chain in the university and analyzes the university knowledge value-added mechanism in the process of Industry-University Collaborative Innovation. The efficiency of university knowledge value-added of Provinces in China is measured. The book illustrates the operating mechanism between enterprise subsystems and college subsystems in the collaborative innovation system, and establishes a Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model with parallel decision making units to assess the performance of Industry-University Collaboration Innovation in China by considering the complex internal structure of the collaborative innovation system. The book also addresses various behaviors of knowledge agents in the knowledge sharing process.

Passive Location Method Based on Phase Difference Measurement presents groundbreaking information about passive location methods used for developing positioning technologies. The author has put forward a series of innovative solutions from the perspective of applied theory in distance finding with the aim of improving our understanding of systems designed to detect moving objects in small spaces. The book starts with a theoretical study of the relationship between phase frequency functions on a two-dimensional plane. This is followed by explanations of detection methods using unambiguous phase parameters. The analysis demonstrates how difference change rates work with parameters for measuring phase difference and wavelength integers. In addition, there is a jump phenomenon between the difference term of phase difference and the difference value of the wavelength integer, that can be used to mathematically compute the distance between these parameters respectively. The results in this work have interesting implications for location measurement with a lack of phase ambiguity. The methods show a framework for converting signal processing models for passive location detection systems for unambiguous phase difference calculations. It also provides an effective solution to the problem of how to eliminate the influence of the measurement error of the wavelength integer difference on the positioning accuracy. Given q\\in \\{0,1,\\ldots ,n-1\\}, let \\Box ^{(q)}_{b,k} be the Gaffney extension of Kohn Laplacian for (0,q) forms with values in L^k. For \\lambda \\geq 0, let \\Pi ^{(q)}_{k,\\leq \\lambda} :=E((-\\infty ,\\lambda ]), where E denotes the spectral measure of \\Box ^{(q)}_{b,k}. In this work, the author proves that \\Pi ^{(q)}_{k,\\leq k^{-N_0}}F^*_k, F_k\\Pi ^{(q)}_{k,\\leq k^{-N_0}}F^*_k, N_0\\geq 1, admit asymptotic expansions with respect to k on the non-degenerate part of the characteristic manifold of \\Box ^{(q)}_{b,k}, where F_k is some kind of microlocal cut-off function. Moreover, we show that F_k\\Pi ^{(q)}_{k,\\leq 0}F^*_k admits a full asymptotic expansion with respect to k if \\Box ^{(q)}_{b,k} has small spectral gap property with respect to F_k and \\Pi^{(q)}_{k,\\leq 0} is k-negligible away the diagonal with respect to F_k. By using these asymptotics, the authors establish almost Kodaira embedding theorems on CR manifolds and Kodaira embedding theorems on CR manifolds with transversal CR S^1 action.

The revealing of the phenomenon of superhydrophobicity (the \"lotus-effect\") has stimulated an interest in wetting of real (rough and chemically heterogeneous) surfaces. In spite of the fact that wetting has been exposed to intensive research for more than 200 years, there still is a broad field open for theoretical and experimental research, including recently revealed superhydrophobic, superoleophobic and superhydrophilic surfaces, so-called liquid marbles, wetting transitions, etc. This book integrates all these aspects within a general framework of wetting of real surfaces, where physical and chemical heterogeneity is essential. Wetting of rough/heterogeneous surfaces is discussed through the use of the variational approach developed recently by the author. It allows natural and elegant grounding of main equations describing wetting of solid surfaces, i.e. Young, Wenzel and Cassie-Baxter equations. The problems of superhydrophobicity, wetting transitions and contact angle hysteresis are discussed in much detail, in view of novel models and new experimental data.
