Coordination mechanism of construction industry supply chain based on data elements
2025
This paper presents a comprehensive approach to enhancing the coordination of the construction industry supply chain by incorporating data elements into the decision-making process. A two-level supply chain model is developed, consisting of a core enterprise and suppliers, initially analyzed in a non-contractual environment. The findings reveal inefficiencies in supply chain coordination under these conditions, prompting the design of a cost-sharing and profit-sharing contract model. By applying these contracts, supply chain coordination is significantly improved, leading to enhanced collaboration, optimized resource allocation, and increased profitability for all stakeholders. The innovative contribution of this research lies in its integration of data elements with contractual coordination mechanisms, which is verified through practical case studies and numerical simulations, offering a novel perspective and methodology for managing construction industry supply chains.

Age at type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the risk of mortality among US population
2024
To examine the relationship between age at diagnosis of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) with cardiovascular and all-cause mortality in the U.S. population. Data was used from NHANES 1999 ~ 2018, which were screened to include a total of 8,654 participants with a diagnosis of diabetes for the study. We estimated the association between age at diagnosis and cardiovascular and all-cause mortality using weighted multivariate Cox regression analyses. Subgroup analyses and sensitivity analyses were performed to ensure the robustness of the data analysis. The number of participants diagnosed with diabetes at ages < 40, between 40 and 59, and > 60 are 1,492, 3,970, and 3,192, respectively, with median ages of 44.04, 57.59, and 72.24. Among patients diagnosed with T2DM, the relative risk of all-cause mortality increased with younger age at diagnosis: compared to patients with late-onset diabetes (age at type 2 diabetes diagnosis ≥ 60), the hazard ratio for all-cause mortality was 2.72 (95% CI 1.83–4.05) in those with early-onset diabetes (age at type 2 diabetes diagnosis < 40). Similarly, the risk of cardiovascular disease death was observed to be a higher relative risk with younger age at diagnosis. Exposure-effect analysis indicated that younger age at diagnosis is associated with higher risk of all-cause mortality. Subgroup analysis found that the association between age at diagnosis and cardiovascular and all-cause mortality was stronger in the current smokers and hypertensive population. The results of this study suggest that younger age at diagnosis of T2DM is associated with higher risk of death in patients. Younger patients diagnosed with T2DM had a higher risk of cardiovascular and all-cause mortality. These findings strengthen the understanding of the risk of death from T2DM and emphasize the importance of early prevention of diabetes.

miR-135a-5p mediates memory and synaptic impairments via the Rock2/Adducin1 signaling pathway in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease
2021
Aberrant regulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD), but most abnormally expressed miRNAs found in AD are not regulated by synaptic activity. Here we report that dysfunction of miR-135a-5p/Rock2/Add1 results in memory/synaptic disorder in a mouse model of AD. miR-135a-5p levels are significantly reduced in excitatory hippocampal neurons of AD model mice. This decrease is tau dependent and mediated by Foxd3. Inhibition of miR-135a-5p leads to synaptic disorder and memory impairments. Furthermore, excess Rock2 levels caused by loss of miR-135a-5p plays an important role in the synaptic disorder of AD via phosphorylation of Ser726 on adducin 1 (Add1). Blocking the phosphorylation of Ser726 on Add1 with a membrane-permeable peptide effectively rescues the memory impairments in AD mice. Taken together, these findings demonstrate that synaptic-related miR-135a-5p mediates synaptic/memory deficits in AD via the Rock2/Add1 signaling pathway, illuminating a potential therapeutic strategy for AD.
Several micro RNAs have been shown to be deregulated in brain tissue or sera from individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and in AD mouse models. The authors show that miR-135a-5p is downregulated in excitatory pyramidal neurons from AD mice and that dysfunction of miR-135a-5p/Rock2/Add1 results in memory/synaptic disorder in AD.
