Investigation of the Influence Mechanism and Analysis of Engineering Application of the Solar PVT Heat Pump Cogeneration System
Amidst the ongoing global energy crisis, environmental deterioration, and the exacerbation of climate change, the development of renewable energy, particularly solar energy, has become a central topic in the global energy transition. This study investigates a solar photovoltaic thermal (PVT) heat pump system that utilizes an expanded honeycomb-channel PVT module to enhance the comprehensive utilization efficiency of solar energy. A simulation platform for the solar PVT heat pump system was established using Aspen Plus software (V12), and the system’s performance impact mechanisms and engineering applications were researched. The results indicate that solar irradiance and the circulating water temperature within the PVT module are the primary factors affecting system performance: for every 100 W/m2 increase in solar irradiance, the coefficient of performance for heating (COPh) increases by 13.7%, the thermoelectric comprehensive performance coefficient (COPco) increases by 14.9%, and the electrical efficiency of the PVT array decreases by 0.05%; for every 1 °C increase in circulating water temperature, the COPh and COPco increase by 11.8% and 12.3%, respectively, and the electrical efficiency of the PVT array decreases by 0.03%. In practical application, the system achieves an annual heating capacity of 24,000 GJ and electricity generation of 1.1 million kWh, with average annual COPh and COPco values of 5.30 and 7.60, respectively. The Life Cycle Cost (LCC) is 13.2% lower than that of the air-source heat pump system, the dynamic investment payback period is 4–6 years, and the annual carbon emissions are reduced by 94.6%, demonstrating significant economic and environmental benefits. This research provides an effective solution for the efficient and comprehensive utilization of solar energy, utilizing the low-global-warming-potential refrigerant R290, and is particularly suitable for combined heat and power applications in regions with high solar irradiance.
Anticipation and Verification of Dendrobium-Derived Nanovesicles for Skin Wound Healing Targets, Predicated Upon Immune Infiltration and Senescence
, with profound botanical importance, reveals a rich composition of bioactive compounds, including polysaccharides, flavonoids, alkaloids, and diverse amino acids, holding promise for skin regeneration. However, the precise mechanism remains elusive. Seeking a potent natural remedy for wound healing, exocyst vesicles were successfully isolated from . This investigation aimed to employ bioinformatics and in vivo experiments to elucidate target genes of -derived nanovesicles in skin wound healing, focusing on immune infiltration and senescence characteristics. C57 mice experienced facilitated wound healing through -derived nanovesicles (DDNVs). Bioinformatics analysis and GEO database mining identified crucial genes by intersecting immune-related, senescence-related, and PANoptosis-associated genes. The identified genes underwent in vivo validation. DDNVs remarkably accelerated skin wound healing in C57 mice. Bioinformatics analysis revealed abnormal expression patterns of immune-related, senescence-related, and pan-apoptosis-related genes, highlighting an overexpressed IL-1β and downregulated IL-18 in the model group, Exploration of signaling pathways included IL-17, NF-kappa B, NOD-like receptor, and Toll-like receptor pathways. In vivo experiments confirmed DDNVs' efficacy in suppressing IL-1β expression, enhancing wound healing. Plant-derived nanovesicles (PDNV) emerged as a natural, reliable, and productive approach to wound healing. DDNVs uptake by mouse skin tissues, labeled with a fluorescent dye, led to enhanced wound healing in C57 mice. Notably, IL-1β overexpression in immune cells and genes played a key role. DDNVs intervention effectively suppressed IL-1β expression, accelerating skin wound tissue repair.
Can the application of digital production technology promote large-scale farming? Evidence from Chinese rice farmers
Large-scale farming is crucial to improving agricultural competitiveness and increasing farmers’ income. With the rapid development of the digital economy, applying digital technology in agricultural production is regarded as a new source of enhancing agricultural competitiveness. However, few studies have discussed the potential link between the application of digital production technology and large-scale farming from a micro-perspective. Based on survey data from rice farmers in Jiangsu Province, China, in 2023, this study uses an endogenous switching model to analyze the impact of digital production technology on large-scale farming and its potential mechanisms. The results show that applying digital production technology significantly promotes large-scale farming at both the farm and plot levels. These findings remain robust after a series of robustness tests, including changing estimation methods and redefining dependent variables. Mechanism analysis reveals that digital production technology promotes large-scale farming through three pathways: reducing labor costs, mitigating disaster risks, and enhancing managerial capabilities. The heterogeneity analysis indicates that the impact of digital production technology on large-scale farming is more pronounced among farmers with high digital literacy or those in regions with advanced digital finance. This study emphasizes that promoting digital production technology is feasible for achieving large-scale farming.
Effect Analysis of Nursing Intervention on Lower Extremity Deep Venous Thrombosis in Patients
In the modern era, nursing intervention is an increased commitment to patient quality and protection that allows nurses to make evidence-based healthcare decisions. The challenging characteristic of patients such as high deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and respiratory embolisms (RE) are significant health conditions that lead to post-operative severe injury and death. In this article, hybrid machine learning (HML) is used for senile patients with lower extremity fractures during the perioperative time and the clinical effectiveness of early stages nursing protocol for deep venous thrombosis of patients and nurses. A three-dimensional shape model of the user interface is shown the examined vessels, which have compression measurements mapped to the surface as colors and virtual image plane representation of DVT. The measures of comprehension have been validated using HML model segmentation experts and contrasted with paired f-tests to reduce the incidence of lower extremity deep venous thrombosis in patients and nurses.

Distribution and soil threshold of selenium in the cropland of southwest mountainous areas in China
To investigate the distribution characteristics of selenium (Se) in mountainous soil-crop systems and examine the threshold value of Se-rich soil, 275 soil samples and 153 associated crop samples (rice, maize, tea, nuts, konjac, mushrooms, buckwheat, and coffee) were collected in Ximeng County, a typical mountainous area in southwest China. The total Se, available Se, organic matter, pH, sampling point elevation, and crop Se content were analyzed to examine the distribution characteristics of soil Se and the ability of primary crops to enrich Se in Ximeng County. Random forest and multiple regression models were established to identify the factors influencing the available soil Se and the crop Se enrichment coefficient. Finally, the Se-rich soil threshold was examined based on the total Se, available Se, and Se content in primary crops (rice, maize, and tea). The results showed soil Se resource abundance in the study region, with high Se soil accounting for 64.72% of the entire area. The soil Se content displayed significant spatial autocorrelation. The average Se enrichment coefficient of the main cultivated crops included mushrooms > nuts > rice > coffee > tea > maize > buckwheat > konjac. The total Se content in the soil had the highest impact on the available Se content in the soil and the Se enrichment coefficient of crops. A Se-rich soil threshold of 0.3 mg·kg −1 was used for rice and maize, while that of tea was 0.4 mg·kg −1 . This result provided a theoretical basis for developing and utilizing Se resources in mountainous soil in southwestern China and dividing the Se-rich soil threshold.
Hospital survey on patient safety culture in China
Background Patient safety culture is an important measure in assessing the quality of health care. There is a growing recognition of the need to establish a culture of hospital focused on patient safety. This study explores the attitudes and perceptions of patient safety culture for health care workers in China by using a Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSPSC) questionnaire and comparing it with the psychometric properties of an adapted translation of the HSPSC in Chinese hospitals with that of the US. Method We used the modified HSPSC questionnaire to measure 10 dimensions of patient safety culture from 32 hospitals in 15 cities all across China. The questionnaire included 1160 Chinese health-care workers who consisted of predominately internal physicians and nurses. We used SPSS 17.0 and Microsoft Excel 2007 to conduct the statistical analysis on survey data including descriptive statistics and validity and reliability of survey. All data was input and checked by two investigators independently. Result A total of 1500 questionnaires were distributed of which 1160 were responded validly (response rate 77%). The positive response rate for each item ranged from 36% to 89%. The positive response rate on 5 dimensions ( Teamwork Within Units, Organization Learning-Continuous Improvement, Communication Openness, Non-punitive Response and Teamwork Across Units ) was higher than that of AHRQ data (P < 0.05). There was a statistical difference on the perception of patient safety culture in groups of different work units, positions and qualification levels. The internal consistency of the total survey was comparatively satisfied (Cronbach’s α = 0.84). Conclusion The results show that amongst the health care workers surveyed in China there was a positive attitude towards the patient safety culture within their organizations. The differences between China and the US in patient safety culture suggests that cultural uniqueness should be taken into consideration whenever safety culture measurement tools are applied in different culture settings.
Adaptation of Ustilago maydis to phenolic and alkaloid responsive metabolites in maize B73
The adaptation of pathogenic fungi to plant-specialized metabolites is necessary for their survival and reproduction. The biotrophic fungus Ustilago maydis can cause maize smut and produce tumors in maize ( Zea mays ), resulting in reduced maize yield and significant economic losses. Qualitative analysis using UPLC-MS/MS revealed that the infection of maize variety B73 with U. maydis resulted in increased levels of phytohormones, phenolics, and alkaloids in maize seedling tissues. However, correlation analysis showed that nearly all compounds in the mechanical damage group were significantly negatively correlated with the shoot growth indexes of maize B73. The correlation coefficients of 2-hydroxy-7-methoxy-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one (HMBOA) and maize B73 shoot length and shoot weight were r = -0.56 ( p < 0.01) and r = -0.75 ( p < 0.001), respectively. In the inoculation group, these correlations weakened, with the correlation coefficients between HMBOA and maize B73 shoot length and shoot weight being r = 0.02 and r = -0.1, respectively. The correlation coefficients between 6-methoxy-2-benzoxazolinone (MBOA) and the shoot weight were r = -0.73 ( p < 0.001) and r = -0.15 in the mechanical damage group and inoculation group, respectively. These findings suggest that increased concentrations of these compounds are more positively associated with mechanical damage than with U. maydis infection. At high concentrations, most of these compounds had an inhibitory effect on U. maydis . This study investigated the ability of U. maydis to regulate various compounds, including phytohormones, phenolic acids, and alkaloids in maize B73, providing evidence that U. maydis has adapted to the specialized metabolites produced by maize B73.
Synergistic Effect of Microorganisms and Enzymes on Nutritional Value of Corn Stover and Wheat Straw
In this study, Candida utilis, Lactobacillus plantarum, and non-starch polysaccharide enzymes (cellulase, laccase, β-glucanase, xylanase, and mannanase) were employed to examine the effects of various microorganism–enzyme combinations on the nutritional composition, fiber structure, and fermentation quality of corn stover and wheat straw. Furthermore, the synergistic effects of these treatments were assessed through the use of in vitro rumen fermentation. The results showed that the microorganism–enzyme combinations significantly increased the crude protein content (p < 0.05), while reducing the acid detergent fiber and neutral detergent fiber levels (p < 0.05) in both substrates. The fermentation broth pH decreased (p = 0.06 for corn stover; p < 0.05 for wheat straw) as a result of the treatments, with a significant increase in the lactate concentration (p < 0.05). The reducing sugar levels varied across the treatments (p < 0.05). Mycotoxin analysis revealed trace amounts of zearalenone, well below the Chinese feed hygiene standard. Scanning electron microscopy showed structural modifications, including fiber breakage and surface wrinkling, in the treated substrates. In vitro rumen fermentation demonstrated significant changes in the NH3-N production and volatile fatty acid profiles (p < 0.05). In conclusion, the addition of different microorganism–enzyme combinations can effectively improve the nutritional composition, fiber structure, and fermentation quality of corn stover and wheat straw. Among the treatments, the T3 group (25% each of C. utilis, L. plantarum, cellulase, and laccase, with a total addition ratio of 0.3% w/w) exhibited the most pronounced improvement in nutritional value for both corn stover and wheat straw. These findings suggest that microorganism–enzyme combinations effectively enhance the nutritional and fermentative quality of agricultural residues.
Tonotopy is not preserved in a descending stage of auditory cortex
Previous studies based on layer specificity suggest that ascending signals from the thalamus to the sensory neocortex preserve spatially organized information, but it remains unknown whether sensory information descending from sensory neocortex to the thalamus also maintains such spatial organization pattern. By focusing on projection specificity, we mapped the tone response properties of two groups of cortical neurons in the primary auditory cortex (A1), based on the relationship between their specific connections to other regions and their function in ascending (thalamocortical recipient [TR] neurons) or descending (corticothalamic [CT] neurons) auditory information. A clear tonotopic gradient was observed among TR neurons, but not CT neurons. Additionally, CT neurons exhibited markedly higher heterogeneity in their frequency tuning and had broader bandwidth than TR neurons. These results reveal that the information flow descending from A1 to the thalamus via CT neurons is not arranged tonotopically, suggesting that the descending information flow possibly contributes to higher-order feedback processing of diverse auditory inputs.
