2020
When the epidemic comes, in addition to eliminating people’s panic, quickly enacting corresponding laws and implementing corresponding policies, and isolating infected people, providing emergency supplies are of course essential. The purpose of this article is to study the robustness and sustainability of the port logistics system for outbreak emergency supplies from overseas. This paper analyzes the sustainable development capability of the port logistics system for outbreak emergency supplies from overseas and formulates response strategies and robust collaborative optimization methods. The optimized and robust system is obtained through formula derivation and analysis, which realizes the coordinated optimization of emergency logistics infrastructure positioning and emergency rescue vehicle path positioning and minimizes the economic loss caused by the outbreak. Research data show that the shortest path can be planned between each material supply location. The research results show that the proportion of demand fluctuations during the outbreak is 6.5%, the time window needs to be controlled between 0 and 600, and the robustness and sustainability of the port logistics system have saved the time of the entire process by about 45%, greatly optimizing the delivery route and delivery time. The robustness of the logistics system can be widely used in emergency events.

Integration of mRNA and miRNA analysis reveals the molecular mechanisms of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) response to salt stress
2023
The continuous increase of saline-alkali areas worldwide has led to the emergence of saline-alkali conditions, which are the primary abiotic stress or hindering the growth of plants. Beet is among the main sources of sugar, and its yield and sugar content are notably affected by saline-alkali stress. Despite sugar beet being known as a salt-tolerant crop, there are few studies on the mechanisms underlying its salt tolerance, and previous studies have mainly delineated the crop’s response to stress induced by NaCl. Recently, advancements in miRNA-mRNA network analysis have led to an increased understanding of how plants, including sugar beet, respond to stress. In this study, seedlings of beet variety \"N98122\" were grown in the laboratory using hydroponics culture and were exposed to salt stress at 40 days of growth. According to the phenotypic adaptation of the seedlings' leaves from a state of turgidity to wilting and then back to turgidity before and after exposure, 18 different time points were selected to collect samples for analysis. Subsequently, based on the data of real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) of salt-responsive genes, the samples collected at the 0, 2.5, 7.5, and 16 h time points were subjected to further analysis with experimental materials. Next, mRNA-seq data led to the identification of 8455 differentially expressed mRNAs (DEMs) under exposure to salt stress. In addition, miRNA-seq based investigation retrieved 3558 miRNAs under exposure to salt stress, encompassing 887 known miRNAs belonging to 783 families and 2,671 novel miRNAs. With the integrated analysis of miRNA-mRNA network, 57 miRNA-target gene pairs were obtained, consisting of 55 DEMIs and 57 DEMs. Afterwards, we determined the pivotal involvement of
aldh2b7
,
thic
, and
δ-oat
genes in the response of sugar beet to the effect of salt stress. Subsequently, we identified the miRNAs novel-m035-5p and novel-m0365-5p regulating the
aldh
gene and miRNA novel-m0979-3p regulating the
thic
gene. The findings of miRNA and mRNA expression were validated by qRT-PCR.

Consensus is one of the fundamental distributed control technologies for collaboration in multi-agent systems such as collaborative handling in intelligent manufacturing. In this paper, we study the problem of resilient average consensus for multi-agent systems with misbehaving nodes. To protect consensus value from being influenced by misbehaving nodes, we address this problem by detecting misbehaviors, mitigating the corresponding adverse impact, and achieving the resilient average consensus. General types of misbehaviors are considered, including attacks, accidental faults, and link failures. We characterize the adverse impact of misbehaving nodes in a distributed manner via two-hop communication information and develop a deterministic detection compensation based consensus (D-DCC) algorithm with a decaying fault-tolerant error bound. Considering scenarios wherein information sets are intermittently available due to link failures, a stochastic extension named stochastic detection compensation based consensus (S-DCC) algorithm is proposed. We prove that D-DCC and S-DCC allow nodes to asymptotically achieve resilient accurate average consensus and unbiased resilient average consensus in a statistical sense, respectively. Then, the Wasserstein distance is introduced to analyze the accuracy of S-DCC. Finally, extensive simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Association analysis of agronomic traits and construction of genetic networks by resequencing of 306 sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) lines
2023
Due to the relatively brief domestication history of sugar beet (
Beta vulgaris
ssp.
vulgaris
), our understanding of the genomic diversity and functional genes in its cultivars is limited, resulting in slow breeding progress. To address this issue, a total of 306 germplasm materials of major cultivars and breeding lines from China, the USA, and Europe were selected for genome resequencing. We investigated population structure and genetic diversity and performed selective scanning of genomic regions, identifying six novel genes associated with important agronomic traits: the candidate genes DFAX2 and P5CS for skin roughness; the candidate genes FRO5, GL24, and PPR91 for root yield and sugar yield, and the pleiotropic candidate gene POLX for flourishing growth vigour, plant height, crown size, flesh coarseness, and sugar yield. In addition, we constructed a protein–protein interaction network map and a phenotype-gene network map, which provide valuable information for identifying and characterizing functional genes affecting agronomic traits in sugar beet. Overall, our study sheds light on the future improvement of sugar beet agronomic traits at the molecular level.

Genomic and transcriptomic-based analysis of agronomic traits in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) pure line IMA1
2022
Sugar beet ( Beta vulgaris L.) is an important sugar-producing and energy crop worldwide. The sugar beet pure line IMA1 independently bred by Chinese scientists is a standard diploid parent material that is widely used in hybrid-breeding programs. In this study, a high-quality, chromosome-level genome assembly for IMA1was conducted, and 99.1% of genome sequences were assigned to nine chromosomes. A total of 35,003 protein-coding genes were annotated, with 91.56% functionally annotated by public databases. Compared with previously released sugar beet assemblies, the new genome was larger with at least 1.6 times larger N50 size, thereby substantially improving the completeness and continuity of the sugar beet genome. A Genome-Wide Association Studies analysis identified 10 disease-resistance genes associated with three important beet diseases and five genes associated with sugar yield per hectare, which could be key targets to improve sugar productivity. Nine highly expressed genes associated with pollen fertility of sugar beet were also identified. The results of this study provide valuable information to identify and dissect functional genes affecting sugar beet agronomic traits, which can increase sugar beet production and help screen for excellent sugar beet breeding materials. In addition, information is provided that can precisely incorporate biotechnology tools into breeding efforts.

Dynamic Equivalence of Wind Farms Considering Complex Terrain
2019
The dynamic equivalence of wind farms is widely used for model simplification. While, the accuracy will be lower without considering the influence of wind speed correlation caused by topography and wake effect. In order to improve the accuracy, this paper proposes a dynamic cluster equivalence method of coherent generators based on hierarchical clustering analysis. Firstly, it analyses the impacts of equivalence’s accuracy such as wind speed distribution, wake effect and control strategy of turbine. Then, it uses hierarchical clustering method to correlate the disturbed trajectory of rotor current of the intra-site turbines and obtains the dynamic clustering results. Finally, it uses power loss method to obtain the equivalent parameters of multi-machine equivalent model. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of this method.

Are independent directors’ political connections valuable?
2020
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to use difference-in-difference method (DID) to study the influences of independent directors’ political connection on firm value.Design/methodology/approachFile No. 18 by the Organization Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee requires that the leading cadres in party and government offices are not allowed to act as independent directors; this restriction applies to retired officials as well. As a result, many listed companies lose the political connections of officers as independent directors. This paper takes it as an exogenous shock to evaluate the influence of the political connection of independent directors on firm value, effectively alleviating the endogeneity problem existing in previous studies.FindingsThe research finds the following: under the policy of compelled resignation, the loss of political connection of independent directors has a prominent negative impact on firm value; and compared to state-owned enterprises, the firm value of private enterprises receives a greater negative impact. However, the political advantage of state-owned enterprises is not obviously influenced. In the regions with worse external market environments, due to a greater reliance on resources brought about by political connection, the policy has a much greater influence on their listed companies.Research limitations/implicationsThe study faces several limitations, each of which represents a potential research direction. First, our analysis is based on the policy effects on the firm’s current Tobin’s Q and finds a negative effect of losing political connections. However, the long-term effects are still unclear, as some studies find a negative effect of political connections. Second, the paper focuses on one channel in which political connections may affect firm value. Other channels, such as subsidies and loans from state-owned banks, which need more granular data, should be explored in the future.Practical implicationsThe use of DID model can better objectively evaluate the implementation effects of ban policies and alleviate endogenous problems, which is also enlightening for further perfection of the system of independent directors in the A-share market.Social implicationsIt enriches existing researches of the value of independent directors from the perspective of political connection, which is conducive to understanding the influence and channel on the firm value after the loss of political connection and the value of independent directors in the corporate governance in a more comprehensive and accurate manner.Originality/valueThis paper extends the relevant research on the value of the political connection of independent directors from the perspective of political connection and enlightens the evaluation of the effect of ban policies.

Analysis and research on the flow capacity of memory alloy gasket and ordinary gasket under AC source
2022
The heating of the fittings of the substation is a major hidden danger affecting the safe and stable operation of the substation. As a load of substations has increased, several heating defects of fittings joints have been found during daily inspections and live inspections. Facing the defects of fittings and joints, operation and maintenance personnel often use methods such as dismantling the equipment to polish the oxide layer, applying conductive paste on the contact surface, and tightening connecting bolts [1]. However, the current methods all require power outage maintenance, which not only increases the daily workload of operation and maintenance personnel, but also inevitably causes a certain load loss. Therefore, it is urgent to study a new method to effectively suppress the heating defect of the fittings without power failure, which also provides a certain theoretical and experimental basis for improving the detection and operation and maintenance of fittings [2]. In order to verify the performance of memory alloy smart gaskets, this paper selects memory alloy smart gaskets and ordinary steel spring gaskets, and develops the effects of current and torque on the temperature rise and loop resistance of the fittings of different types of gaskets under AC current [3]. Experimental results show that under the same torque, the temperature of the memory pad end is lower than that of the ordinary end, and the greater the current, the more obvious the effect; under the same current, the temperature of the memory pad end is lower than that of the ordinary end, and the smaller the torque, the more obvious the effect. It proves that memory pads have certain advantages over ordinary pads.
