Nutritional and Biochemical Characterization of Date Palm Varieties Growing in Palestine
The date palm possesses substantial social and economic value because of its financial, nutrient, natural, cultural, medical, and religious aspects. It plays an important role in ensuring food availability in the Middle East and North Africa region by giving people nourishing foodstuffs. In Palestine, date palm growth and production have significantly increased subsequently. The objective of this study is to describe the biochemical and dietary composition of Palestinian date fruits. We examined the approximate biochemical profile of the fruit at full maturity for 34 diverse date plant genotypes from Jericho, Palestine. The results showed significant differences between genotypes for most studied biochemical parameters. The element analysis revealed that date palm extract contains several essential elements, such as calcium, potassium, and iron, the contents were 1636 mg, 1.5 mg, and 4.9 mg for 100 g of dry mass respectively. Ash and fiber substances were 2.92 g and 4.01g respectively. Moisture, acidity, and total solid contents were 24.78%, 0.23%, and 59.34% respectively.

Improving the Properties of Woollen Yarns and Fabrics Using Spandex
The consideration of blending wool with various industrial raw materials was deemed essential in order to attain novel qualities that align with the intended application and consumer preferences, while also ensuring economic viability. The objective of our work is to create yarns that incorporate synthetic fibers in order to attain a favorable economic outcome. Furthermore, enhancing the quality of mixed woolen yarns has a direct impact on their functional performance. Our research involves the combination of wool, polyacrylic, and Lycra in specific proportions. Specifically, we blend 25% wool material with 75% polyacrylic material, and then add an additional 5% Lycra to this blend. This process allows us to create three distinct variations. The experimental findings demonstrated a significant augmentation in the tensile strength, as well as an increase in the percentage of regularity. There was an improvement in the association between the count and the elongation percentage. Furthermore, we weaved 6 plain fabrics 3 of them were weaved from the blend of 75% wool 25% acrylic the other 3 were weaved from the second blend of 75% wool 25% acrylic 5% lycra. We examined those 6 fabrics for weight, tensile strength, elongation, friction, wrinkle resistance and absorption. The specimen from the blend of 75% wool 25% acrylic 5% lycra with the count of 20/1 had shown the highest results for all examination.
Possible Coexistence of Traumatic Cerebral Microbleeds and Axonal Injury?
Diffuse axonal injury (DAI) is a common type of traumatic brain injury, whose detection remains a significant clinical challenge. Recent studies suggest that traumatic cerebral microbleeds (TCMs) may serve as indirect indicators of axonal injury. Given the similar mechanisms underlying the formation of axonal injury and cerebral microbleeds, the aim of this study is to investigate the potential association between these two types of cerebral trauma. In the total sample of 36 brains, axonal injury was detected in 32 cases (88.9%), identical to the incidence of traumatic cerebral microbleeds. βAPP immunopositivity was relatively evenly distributed across the examined brain regions, with slightly stronger expression in the posterior brain regions and the highest frequency of intense immunopositivity in the pons, albeit without statistical significance. The X² test, along with the Spearman correlation test, indicates an association between traumatic microbleeds in the genu of the corpus callosum and βAPP immunopositivity in all four observed brain regions, with the strongest correlation observed in the genu of the corpus callosum (p=0.011). βAPP immunohistochemical staining revealed a relatively uniform distribution of axonal injury and microhemorrhages throughout the examined mid-sagittal brain structures. A slightly stronger ẞAPP expression was detected in the pons, though without statistical significance. The observed positive correlation between traumatic cerebral microbleeds and axonal injury in the anterior aspects of the corpus callosum aligns with current assumptions that the mid-sagittal brain regions are critical for the relationship between these two types of cerebral lesions.
