Estimation of the Environmental Flow Regime to Deter-Mine the Minimum Flow for Pollution Reduction

Possible factors that play a role in restoring a flow regime that supports a healthy environment were identified for Wadi Zomar, Palestine. The hydrograph shows that threshold discharges for bed drying are less than 0.14 m3/s, bar formation is less than 0.4 ms/s and floodplain inundation events are over 3 m3/s. The HEC-RAS model suggests a continuous discharge throughout the year that maintains the base flow in the range of 0.5 m3/s. The model suggests that the restoration process is controlled by two main factors: role of sufficient flow and flood inundation frequency.

The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem as a Success Factor for Startups

This study aims to shed light on the entrepreneurial ecosystem and its contribution to startups success, as well as presenting the Turkish experience in this field. To achieve these objectives, a combination of three methods has been used: the descriptive and analytical method, the case study method, and the comparative method. The study reached a set of results, the most important, is that the entrepreneurial ecosystem is the platform that supports the creation and the growth of startups, through its contribution in creating opportunities and providing an appropriate environment that helps entrepreneurs launching their startups; and that the Turkish entrepreneurial ecosystem reached a new level, due to the efforts of both public and private sectors, in providing a suitable environment for the activity of startups.

エジプトの柳と日本の桜における木の象徴性の比較宗教的信仰及び俗信における木の象徴性を中心
Despite the geographical distance between Egypt and Japan, it can be said that the two countries share a commonality. Both countries enjoy natural diversity, and it is believed that nature plays an important role in shaping their folk beliefs and traditions. Thus, both countries are rich in myths and legends related to nature, and since ancient times, both countries have been interested in and carried out lavish religious festivals and rituals based on the changing of the seasons of the year. Furthermore, plants have held significant importance for both Egyptians and Japanese people since ancient times. When we consider Egyptian trees, we envision species such as acacia, sycamore fig, and Persea trees; however, we cannot overlook the willow tree, which has been venerated as a sacred tree since ancient Egypt. Conversely, when we think of Japanese trees, we picture cedar, cypress, pine, and chestnut trees, but cherry trees are said to hold a special significance for the Japanese people since ancient times. Today, when we think of spring flowers in Japan, cherry blossoms immediately come to mind. The aim of this study is to explore the symbolism of the Egyptian willow tree and the Japanese cherry tree within the religious and cultural beliefs of both nations. Additionally, the study seeks to clarify the similarities and differences between these two trees by comparing their symbolic meanings. Consequently, this research intends to enhance understanding of the religious and cultural beliefs in both countries and to enrich comparative studies between them. It is hoped that this will foster stronger ties between the two nations.

The water challenge in the Middle East has caused governments to face new problems in which they have to consider more control, management, and care regarding their water resources to survive. Due to growing water consumption by upstream countries of the border rivers in exploiting the resources, we will observe an increase in hydro-political disputes among the nations. Helmand is a river that flows into Iran and includes a hydro-political aspect. It has always influenced the relations between the two countries since the border formation. The fluctuation of the Helmand water flow and decrease in the running water towards Sistan (Iran) in the last hundred years has always created problems in relations between Iran and Afghanistan at the National and local levels. In the past years, Afghanistan has consumed a significant part of the water by creating a dam, reducing the amount of water flowing into Iran. On the other side, morphological changes of the river, such as the dispute on specifying the border exactly in the changeable river bed, dispute from the instability of water rights distribution pattern between the two countries, and finally, the dispute from specifying the extent and territory of the border area has led to ecosystem instabilities. In this regard, the strategy to control the ecosystem instabilities is environment diplomacy, and if it is synchronized with defensive diplomacy, it causes stability. With this description, we will examine the Helmand peripheral issues and the course of diplomacy in this field.

كفاءة استخدام الورق المقوى كخامة بدلية صديقة للبيئة لتحقيق تصميم داخلي وأثاث مستدام بالتطبيق بمقرر تصميم الأثاث \1\
في ظل ما نواجهه اليوم من مشاكل وتداعيات تغيير المناخ والخلل في النظام البيئي الحادث في العالم بأكمله فهناك اهتمام عالمي لحل قضايا تغير المناخ فهي على رأس التحديات التي تواجه العالم حاليا، وتستضيف جمهورية مصر العربية الدورة الـ ٢٧ من مؤتمر الأطراف لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية حول تغير المناخ عام ۲۰۲۲ م. لذا أصبح هناك ضرورة حتمية للاتجاه نحو إيجاد خامات بديلة صديقة للبيئة دون الخامات التقليدية المتعارف عليها لتحقيق معايير ومبادئ الاستدامة، وذلك للحد من مخاطر التلوث البيئي، والاستفادة من تكنولوجيا إعادة تدوير المخلفات للتخلص منها دون أثار جانبية على البيئة وتحقيق الاستفادة القصوى على صعيد البيئي والاجتماعي والاقتصادي. تناول البحث أحد التقنيات لإعادة تدوير خامة صديقة للبيئة \"الورق المقوى\"، ومدى كفاءة استخدام الورق المقوى \"الكرتون cardboard\" كخامة صديقة للبيئة بديلة بالعملية التصميمة للتصميم الداخلي وتصميم الأثاث ملبية لمبادئ الاستدامة من حيث البعد البيئي وكذلك البعد الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وذلك من أجل تحقيق حياة أكثر صداقة للبيئة. كما تضمن البحث نماذج لمشروعات تطبيقية للطلاب بقسم التصميم الداخلي والأثاث والتي تم استخدام خامة الورق المقوى لعمل تصميمات مختلفة لقطع الأثاث، وذلك من خلال تطوير مقرر تصميم الأثاث (۱)، تحقيقا لدور المصمم في إيجاد الحلول والبدائل للمشكلات المحيطة ومواكبه الاتجاهات الحديثة في التصميم. تكمن مشكلة البحث في طرح عده تساؤلات منها ما مدى كفاءة استخدام الكرتون المضلع كخامة بدلية لتحقيق تصميم داخلي وأثاث مستدام، أهمية البحث التأكيد على أهمية مواكبة الاتجاهات التصميمية البيئية الحديثة لطلاب كليات الفنون، كما يهدف البحث إلي: زيادة الوعي بالاختيار والاستخدام المواد الصديقة للبيئة بالبرامج التعليمية وكذلك أفراد المجتمع، أيضا إدخال الورق المقوى المستخدم كمواد بديلة صديقة للبيئة بالتصميم الداخلي والأثاث.
