The Israeli Knesset's approval of the Settlement Regulation Law's final version of February 6, 2017 sparked massive political reactions. The step prevents Palestinians from the right of using their land, legalizing 16 settlement spots on private land and about another 4,000 residential units. The Palestinian Authority demanded intervention by the international community, and Arab governments spoke up to condemn it. Even Israeli human rights groups opposed the law and requested its abolition from the Israeli Supreme Court. At a global level, the UN, EU and several European countries criticized it for violating the International Law and the UN Resolution no. 2334 of December 23 2016. which criminalizes and calls for the halt of the Israeli settlement in the West Bank. The political repercussions are represented in the human rights organizations' opposition as well as the government's obvious intention to legalize settlement as a point of departure to judaize the West Bank through similar continuous procedures. It is concluded that the law improves the international stance, as gradual steps are likely to criminalize settlement and pressure the Israeli governments to stop the legislation and comply with the international legitimacy.

تناول البحث أثر الاحتلال الإسرائيلي على النمو العمراني والبنية التحتية للطرق في قطاع غزة، حيث شهدت منطقة الدراسة خلال العقود المنصرمة تغيرات جغرافية واضحة على كتلتها العمرانية وبنيتها التحتية، ظلت خلالها عرضة للاستهداف الإسرائيلي بشتي السبل، كان من أبرزها التدمير الواسع الناتج عن الاعتداءات المتكررة عليها، فقد بلغت قيمة الخسائر خلال الحروب الثلاثة الأخيرة (4094) مليون دولار فقط، إذ تم تدمير نحو (90.000) وحدة سكنية، منها (15.000) وحدة دمرت تدميرا كاملا، عدا عن مئات من المنشآت العمرانية سواء منشآت اقتصادية أو خدمية، طالت أيضا مرافق البني التحتية، في ظل حصار اقتصادي خانق قيدت فيه الحركة على الطرق والمنافذ الحدودية، ما أفقد المساعدات الدولية قيمتها لتنمية البني التحتية وكأنها لم تكن، وذلك لتحقيق أهداف سياسية يمكن في طياتها تركيع الشعب الفلسطيني، وإضعاف قدرته على الصمود.
