The present study is concerned with the writer's ideologies towards violence against women. The study will focus on analyzing an English novel about violence against women so as to see to what extent writers are being affected and influenced by their genders. It also focuses on showing to what extent writer's ideologies are reflected in their works. Gender influence social groups ideologies; therefore, when a writer discusses an issue that concerns the other gender, they will be either subjective or objective depending on the degree of influence, i.e., gender has influenced their thoughts as well as behaviours. A single fact may be presented differently by different writers depending on the range of affectedness by ideologies. The study aims to uncover and reveal the hidden gender-based ideologies, by analyzing the discursive structure of a novel based on Van Dijk's model (2000) of ideology and racism. The selected novel is based on discussing violence against women. The study will later on reveal what the real writer's gender-based ideologies is. Is the writer feminist or anti-feminist? Is he prejudiced? Is he biased?.

A growing body of feminist scholarship is concerned with post-feminism as a contested area of critical theory since the 1990s, there has been a keen interest across the British popular media in ideas of female success taking into account a \" liberal\" type of feminism which takes into consideration\" equal opportunities\". That period witnessed analytical unrest concerning the conditions of feminism and femininity in Britain and the United States as women were considered in danger of ending up all alone, and devoured by mental and physical illnesses due to the second-wave feminist discourse of gender equality. Thence, this paper argues that Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones's Diary is a seminal text within the genre of chick lit and an archetype of \"Girl power culture\" through which the post-feminist \"double entanglement\" of feminist and anti-feminist themes in contemporary popular British and Western fiction can be examined. The themes of female subjectivity, the female body as fetish, the emphasis on individualism, empowerment, choice, and self-surveillance, as well as the resurgence of values of commodification of the female body, and consumer behaviour are explored as typical of post-feminist discourse in media texts. Moreover, the concept of feminine masquerade is applied to this study as it emphasizes the intersection of feminism with consumer culture. Such double entanglement of feminist and neoliberal consumer values leads to a conflict between feminist ideas of empowerment and emancipation, and the anti-feminist position that reinstates patriarchal values of male supremacy and propagates neoliberal consumer values.

يهدف هذا البحث إلى اختبار مفهوم النسوية السيبرانية عبر تحديد المرجعيات المنشئة لها ، ولا سيما أهم منظرات المقولات السيبرانية النسوية، كسادي بلانت ((Sadie Plant ودونا هاراواي (Donna Hardaway)، بالتوازي مع الإشكالات التي تنطوي عليها الجملة المفاهيمية والإجرائية المتصلة بهذا المفهوم، ومن ثم اختبار فرضية أثر ذلك على النضال النسوي في العالم العربي من خلال اعتماد بعض التقارير الصادرة عن مؤسسات دولية كالأمم المتحدة، وما يكمن من معوّقات تتمثل باتساع الفجوة الرقمية بين الرجل والمرأة، علاوة على الإشكاليات الثقافية التي تتصل بالمنظور، وما يسكنه من أسئلة، وتحديات مستقبلية تتطلب وعيًا على مستوى الخطاب والممارسة في سياق قراءة ثقافية تعتمد التقاطع المعرفي.

عند الكتابة عن تاريخ الحركة الوطنية الايرلندية لا يمكن أن نغفل دور المرأة الايرلندية التي كانت لها مشاركة فاعلة في دعم كل الثورات والانتفاضات التي انطلقت في كل أجزاء الجزيرة الأيرلندية للتخلص من الاحتلال البريطاني، على الرغم من طبيعة المجتمع الايرلندي المتحفظ الذي كان يرى أن مشاركة المرأة الايرلندية في النشاط السياسي ما هو إلا عملا يراد به تفكك نسيج الأسرة الايرلندية، ومن ثم تفكك المجتمع الايرلندي على الرغم من هذه القيود التي فرضتها الكنيسة الكاثوليكية وطبيعة المجتمع الايرلندي لم يمنع ذلك المرأة الايرلندية من الدفاع عن حقها ومكانتها في المجتمع الايرلندي. ظهرت أول بوادر مشاركة المرأة في الحركة الوطنية الأيرلندية عن طريق لجان الإغاثة التي تم تشكيلها لدعم أسر المقاتلين الأيرلنديين الذين تم اعتقالهم أو قتلهم من قبل قوات الاحتلال البريطاني. وبسبب طبيعة التنظيمات السياسية ذات الطبيعة الذكورية في المجتمع الأيرلندي والتي كانت ترفض انضمام المرأة إلى صفوفها خشيت من أثارة الكنيسة التي كانت تعارض وبشدة نشاط المرأة السياسي، قررت النساء إيجاد تنظيمات ذات مرتكزات سياسية واضحة تتبنى المطالبة بحقوق المرأة الإيرلندية لاسيما فيما يتعلق بحقها في التصويت في الانتخابات. ولهذا شهدت الساحة السياسية الإيرلندية ظهور العديد من التنظيمات النسوية منها جمعية حق الاقتراع الإيرلندية رابطة الأرض النسوية منظمة بنات إيرلندا رابطة حقوق المرأة الإيرلندية. وقد فتحت هذه المنظمات الباب أمام المرأة لإظهار قدراتها الإدارية والتنظيمية والخطابية، من خلال مواقفها الرافض لقوانين الأرض التعسفية ضد الفلاحين المستأجرين، ورفضها لعملية التجنيد الإجباري الأيرلنديين في الحرب العالمية الأولى من خلال قوات الاحتلال البريطانية. الأمر الذي مهد الطريق أمامها للانضمام للتنظيمات المسلحة لاسيما جيش المواطن الإيرلندي ومنظمة الشن فين. الذي تكلل بمشاركتها الفاعلة في ثورة عيد الفصح عن طريق تشكيل فرق عسكرية نسائية لها دور فاعل ومؤثر في ثورة عيد الفصح لا يمكن لأي مؤرخ يكتب عن هذه الثورة دون ذكر دور المرأة فيها.

تناول البحث إشكالية الحياد الجندري في اللغة من حيث التنظير والتطبيق، مع التركيز على أثر الحركات النسوية في البنية اللغوية والصرفية والمعجمية، لا سيما في اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية. ويعتمد هذا البحث منهجا تقابليا مقارنا، يستند إلى استقراء الظواهر اللغوية المرتبطة بالحياد الجندري في اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية، وتحليلها ضمن سياقاتها الثقافية والاجتماعية. ويرصد البحث التحولات التي طرأت على اللغة تحت ضغط الدعوات إلى الحياد، خاصة في اللغة الإنجليزية ويقارنها بما تشهده اللغة العربية من مواقف متباينة تجاه هذا الاتجاه، بين الداعين إلى الإصلاح والتعديل، والمتمسكين بثبات البنية اللغوية ومرجعيتها التراثية. وقد وزعت مباحث البحث على محاور رئيسة شملت مقدمة، وتأصيل المفهوم، وتحليل التحولات النسوية في الخطاب اللغوي، وبيان التحديات البنيوية التي تواجه اللغة العربية، ومقارنة ذلك بالجهود العالمية في اللغات الأخرى، وانتهاء بالنتائج والتوصيات وخلص البحث إلى أن الإنجليزية أظهرت مرونة نسبية في استيعاب محاولات التحييد اللغوي من خلال ضمائر وألفاظ محايدة، بينما تواجه العربية صعوبات بنيوية ناتجة عن نظامها النحوي الصارم القائم على التمييز بين المذكر والمؤنث. كما ناقش البحث التحديات الثقافية والاجتماعية المؤثرة في تقبل هذا الاتجاه، وأوصى بضرورة إعداد أدلة لغوية إرشادية تراعي الشمولية والعدالة الجندرية، دون الإخلال بهوية اللغة العربية وقواعدها الثابتة.

تهدف الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على دور الحركة النسوية الفلسطينية الوطنية في مواجهة مؤسسة الاستشراق الإسرائيلية. إذ نجد أن الحركة النسوية الفلسطينية بدأت قوية. لأنها ارتبطت بأهم القضايا القومية المصيرية في الوطن العربي من أجل التخلص من براثن الاستعمار الأجنبي للبلاد العربية، وقيادة حركة المقاومة النسائية ضد استقدام اليهود إلى فلسطين بدءا من مطلع بدايات القرن العشرين، ونجد كذلك زيادة نشاط المرأة الفلسطينية في دعم حركة المقاومة، ورفض جميع المشاريع الإسرائيلية على أرض فلسطين وضرورة خروج اليهود من أرض فلسطين العربية، وتوضح هذه الدراسة الدور الذي لعبته مؤسسة الاستشراق الإسرائيلي في تشويه صورة المرأة الفلسطينية المقاومة، وإبعادها عن عاداتها، وتقاليدها العربية الأصيلة، وإقناعها بالتحرر من تلك القيود المجتمعية، والاقتداء بصورة المرأة الغربية المتحضرة بحسب ادعائهم.

لقد شكلت قضية المرأة أهمية كبيرة كانت ولا تزال لها أهمية كبيرة، فإن الموجات الاتجاه النسوي الثلاثة اهتمت بقضية المرأة منذ اللحضة الأولى لها، إلا إن نشوء هذه الموجات، والأسباب التي دعت إلى ظهور هذه الموجات، فقد كانت تهدف الى تحرير المرأة من كافة أشكال التهميش والعنف والسيطرة والهيمنة الذكورية، فيكون هذا من خلال وجود التجمعات النسوية والانضمام إلى الاتجاه النسوي من أجل تحقيق أهداف النساء والسعي إلى تطوير قدراتهن وتحقيق مساواة فعلية بين المرأة والرجل، إلا إن هذا الاتجاه والموجات النسوية نشأت بسبب معاناة المرأة من ظلم بمختلف أشكاله، والعمل على تحريرها ووضع الحد من بعض القيم الاجتماعية البالية التي ترجع الأنثى إلى الخلف والذكور إلى الأمام والتقدم، فقد كان لهذه الموجات هدف هو مناصرة المرأة وتقدمها والسعي إلى تمكينها.

Female Genital Mutilation - also known as female circumcision - is a highly controversial practice that has aroused a cacophony of voices and research across disciplines. This paper privileges Ayaan Hirsi Ali's memoir, Infidel: My Life to underscore the implications of FGM on the bodies of victims. A discursive engagement of an existential issue that affects the lives of millions of African women and girls daily marks the significance of the study. More specifically, the study holds both socio-cultural and religious significance based on its intent to show that the often-mouthed socio-cultural, religious and superstitious justifications for FGM are no longer tenable in today's globalised world. A content analysis method is adopted to isolate the nuanced experiences of circumcised/mutilated women in the text. These experiences of FGM victims are analysed within the theoretical framework of Third World feminism; which is a theory that flags FGM as patriarchy's agenda to police women and their bodies. The traumatic accounts of pains and sufferings shared by circumcised/mutilated women in Ali's memoir are crucial to the formation of condensed feelings of empathy and rage that are capable of causing effective attitudinal change concerning the controversial practice. This paper finds and recommends that the most persuasive campaigners against FGM remain the survivors whose stories deserve to be at the forefront of the anti-FGM campaign(s).
