Aims & Objectives: Transfictionality is a recent narratological phenomenon that describes the hypertextual migration of an element from one text, such as a character, setting, or incident, migrates from one text to another, provided that the two texts remain distinct and easy to recognize by the reader. Transfictionality is used to destabilize notions of reality, constructedness, and closure. Theorists of transfictionality tend to see it as an exclusively postmodernist technique.This paper presents a counterargument to this view by proving that transfictionality is not restricted to postmodernist experimental writings. The paper argues that transfictionality is an inherent condition of narrativity and can, therefore, be located in classic realist fiction as well, as instanced in the novels of the British novelist Barbara Pym (1913-1980). Methodology: The paper examines the narrative phenomenon of cross-over characters in the novels of Barbara Pym as instances of transfictionality by using the theory of transfictionality by Marie- Laure Ryan (2008). Findings & Recommendations: The paper finds that characters' crossovers in Pym's novels fulfill the four conditions Ryan set for transfictionality. The paper also finds that these characters' crossovers epitomize Ryan's five transfictional relations and, at times, extend them to include specimens of transmedial transfictionality that Ryan failed to incorporate in her theory of transfictionality. These findings are significant in extending the scope of transfictionality beyond postmodernist narratives. This has far-reaching implications for understanding the epistemological premises of the fictional world and its relation to the world of reality, especially in the context of Possible World theory.

The article aims to explore the present-day challenges facing the Palestinian narrative. It delves into the ways in which the narrative has been shaped by historical events namely the Nakba, the Naksa, and the Oslo Accords, and how these events have left a lasting impact on the Palestinian identity. The article then examines the potential for the development of a new form of cultural resistance utilizing personal stories; as demonstrated by the Netflix show 'Mo'. The show proffers a novel approach incorporating Palestinain political messages onto comedy and drama, and therefore has the potential to reach a wider audience. In view of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the article suggests four recommendations for advancing the Palestinian narrative in the global arena, in the face of the ongoing Israeli occupation, bitter national division, and heavy Western media censorship.

إن المكان أصبح من العناصر الأساسية في البناء السردي وتعتمد لغة الوصف على معايير ترتقي بها إلى الشعرية الأدبية التي تجعل من الرواية صورا ومشاهد تتغنى بطبيعة المكان وأبعاده الدلالية، ورواية الحفيدة الأمريكية واحدة من الروايات التي استطاعت أن تمنح المكان خصوصية بما يحتويه من موروث عائلي قديم، وتواصل مع الجذور والقيم والمبادئ، واستطاعت الروائية نقل القارئ إلى عوالم جديدة وأماكن متباينة في الألفة والعدوانية، وتنماز الوصفية الشعرية لدى الكاتبة بمستوى عال من التركيز والفهم العميق لكل مفردة مكتوبة في النص السردي المقروء.

في هذه الدراسة يسعى الباحث إلى النظر في علاقة النساء بالأمة من زاوية تطرحها رواية النبيذة للكاتبة العراقية إنعام كه جي، وهي زاوية العلاقة بين الجندر والنزعة الكولونيالية. ويعتقد الباحث أن الحديث عن علاقة بين الجندر والاستعمار دون الوقوف على دور الموروث الثقافي وتواطؤ المؤسسات الاجتماعية معه حديث مبتور. ومن ثم تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تقديم قراءة لشبكة العلاقات بين ذكور وإناث رواية النبيذة تحت عنوان \"أنوثة مطاردة تتمرد على الراوي العليم\" محاولة الكشف عن مدى فاعلية الجنس في تحديد مصير كل شخصية، بعد نزع الغطاءات الاجتماعية والأيديولوجية والقومية عنه، والنظر بالتالي إلى دوره في بلورة الوعي بالذات وبالعالم. وبعد ذلك، سوف يلقي الباحث الضوء على الأغطية الأيديولوجية والسياسية والقومية التي تستر مستوى علاقة الذكورة بالأنوثة في هذه الرواية «النبيذة» من خلال معالجة علاقة الجندر بتقاطعات السلطة الوطنية والاستعمار وأثر هذه العلاقة في تخييل الرواية لتاريخ بغداد من منظور امرأتين نبت في جسديهما وعيان مختلفان بالذات والعالم، ومن ثم بلورتا أمتين متخيلتين Imagined Nations شديدتي التباين لبغداد واحدة. وفي ختام هذه الدراسة سوف يوضح الباحث كيف تمت محاكاة عقل ذكوري في بناء الهوية الجندرية، ثم كيف تم تقويض هذا البناء من خلال المخطط السردي للرواية!

Impoliteness is an act that is rejected and refused in the conventions of any society. However, it is utilized occasionally for various hidden motives and not only as an act of threatening others\" faces. This act is ascertained to be systematic according to Culpeper\"s ,,Anatomy of impoliteness which is the adopted model in the present study. This model is applied to demonstrate the strategies that John Green adopts to demonstrate Van Houlten\"s character that acts impolitely in Green's novel \"The Fault in our Stars. The present study intends to reveal the types of impolite strategies that the writer utilizes to indicate this act of impoliteness and it also intends to reveal that impoliteness is a means to express grief, anger, and despair of life when losing our beloved.

This paper aims at exploring and analyzing the narrative techniques in Julian Barnes' The Sense of an Ending (2011). Barnes employs some modern narrative tools in the novel which have contributed to the success and popularity of the novel. This paper offers an analysis of these narrative tools and how they echo the themes of the novel. The first tool is the narrator's control of the narrative; he uses elision and omission of the event, letting the reader doubt his truthfulness as he himself becomes suspicious of what he is narrating. The second technique is the memory distortion in which the narrator divides his memory into two important phases that match the divisions of the text. The third narrative technique is the use of stream of consciousness together with the \"I\" person point of view. This gives the narrator an important space to travel inside the complicated corners of his memories. The last technique is the concept of time which is considered an important pillar in providing the story with the ideas of vividness and reasoning, especially with the reality of the story. This paper offers an analysis of these narrative tools and how they are connected to shape the development of the themes and structure of the novel. They are occupied to explore the importance of memories in human life and how humans should manage their time adequately, or else their life will be full of darkness and ambiguities.

تؤدي بعض الأحداث التاريخية دورا مهما في خلق آثار نفسية قوية على المجتمعات، ونتائجها لا تمحى أبدا من الذاكرة. ومن بين هذه الأحداث المهمة يأتي غزو بغداد من المغول كواحدة منها. وبطبيعة الحال زادت أهمية بغداد كونها عاصمة للخلافة من تأثير هذا الغزو الذي لا يمكن نسيانه. فضلا عن كونها مركزا للإدارة الدينية في جميع أنحاء المنطقة الإسلامية في العصور الوسطى، وفي الواقع، تم الرجوع إلى غزو المغول حتى في أثناء الغزو الذي تعرض له العراق في عصرنا، إذ تم التحدث عنه بشكل مقارن. في هذا البحث، سنقوم بدراسة الأثر المادي الذي خلفته جيوش المغول في بغداد بالكامل بالاستناد إلى السرد التاريخي. سنحاول تسليط الضوء على قيمة المصادر التاريخية المتنوعة عبر استعمال منهجيات التحكيم التاريخي بأسلوب علمي. سيتم تحديد مدى التدمير الذي لحق بمكتبات بغداد التي تم اختيارها كعينة بواسطة المصادر الأولية. يتكون هيكل البحث من روايات شهود العيان الذين شهدوا بأنفسهم الغزو، فضلا عن ما أورده المؤرخون البارعون والرحلة الذين وصفوا بغداد بعد الغزو. سيتم توضيح الأخطاء في المعلومات والطرائق التي انحرفت عنها المصادر الحديثة في سرد قصصها بشكل أحادي الاتجاه. ثم أن مشاركة الحقائق التاريخية الكامنة خلف السطور بين الزملاء في المجال العلمي هي هدفنا الرئيس بدلا من التسابق الزائد والشعبوية في قول أشياء جديدة مبالغ فيها بخصوص هذا الحدث التاريخي الشهير الذي اكتسب شهرة تاريخية، ويحمل في طياته عددا من الافتراضات الأساسية.

Class conflicts are mostly based on competing ideologies embraced by different segments of a community. These values may be religious, economic, political, social, etc. in nature. This study explores the class conflicts, the ideologies behind these conflicts and investigates how these ideologies both control the different classes' behavior and dominate the form the relationships between them take. Using a Marxist approach and the concepts of class/ sect conflicts, ideology, economic superstructure domination and hegemony, this study traces Jivan, a poor Muslim girl who lives a miserable life in the Kalabagan slums of Kolkata who is accused of terrorism in the aftermath a train burning; the transgender Lovely, a hijra who is a male but who lives as a female and wants to be an actor; and PT Sir, a physical education teacher. It does so to assess their progression in life as they negotiate the ideologies of contemporary India. The study finds that class conflicts emerge from the different ideologies adopted by the different classes, embodied in their social, political, and religious beliefs. It also reveals the discriminatory system of the upper class in the narrative community and its injustice and corruption. It shows how that discriminatory system, by dominating the mass media, economy, education and politics, eventually pushes the educational institutions and civil organizations to respond positively towards it, which serves its interests.
