Exploring Motivation and Engagement
2024
The major theoretical works of Albert Bandura and Lev Vygotsky apply to this quantitative study on how female English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners enrolled at a public university in Saudi Arabia respond to the sociocultural orientations influencing motivation and engagement in foreign language learning. By evaluating the peer-reviewed academic literature and accounting for evidence gaps in this research area, the study seeks to address how a small group comprised of the target population feels motivated and engaged with the EFL instructional content. The main results revealed that female EFL learners in Saudi Arabia prefer learning a second language in collaborative environments with peers. While these results provide empirical evidence that young women in Saudi Arabia have more opportunities to become proficient in L2 English and participate in the global economy, these results suggest that in Saudi Arabia, there are increasing opportunities for young learners to achieve proficiency in L2 English and engage in the global economy. Furthermore, the role of technological innovation in enhancing learner autonomy is noteworthy. Additionally, the prevailing sociocultural norms in Saudi Arabia influence the skill sets acquired by EFL learners. Future studies on how female EFL learners in Saudi Arabia respond to constructive emotional and intellectual challenges will help researchers close evidence gaps. The future research implications of this study are such that ongoing progress is possible despite the limitations.

Obstacles to Effective Strategic Planning in Transportation and Crowd Management
2025
Objectives: This study aims to investigate the challenges faced by employees in the Hajj and Umrah System in implementing effective strategic planning for transportation and crowd management. Methods: A survey was conducted with 63 employees, collecting data on key demographics, including gender, professional experience, education level, and age. The study analyzed participants' perceptions of obstacles affecting strategic planning, transportation, and crowd management. Results: Findings reveal that 69.4% of participants recognize significant barriers to strategic planning, such as insufficient human resources and inadequate inter-unit coordination. Additionally, 71.2% acknowledge that limited resources, expertise, and follow-up hinder transportation operations, while 70.0% identify similar challenges in crowd management, including a lack of qualified personnel and budget constraints. No significant differences in perceptions were found based on demographic factors. Conclusions: The study highlights a consensus among employees on the barriers to effective strategic planning. Policymakers and management are urged to improve resource allocation, provide advanced training, and enhance coordination to optimize transportation and crowd management strategies. Additionally, future research should explore the impact of specific training programs and innovative technologies to address resource constraints and improve coordination among units in the Hajj and Umrah System.

To assess the impact of transformational leadership on employee growth and satisfaction in private healthcare facilities in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. 3. to compare the influence of transformational leadership on employee growth and satisfaction in the public and private healthcare facilities in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, research focused on community leadership, pointing out the fact that it is a more formal leadership type that relies on volunteering, or a national or international context, the part played by leadership in promoting growth, development, and advancement, and all the related indices, is indisputable. However, the variation in the context may require a different mode or approach of leadership in order to ensure optimal results from leadership approach applied within a context. Clearly reveal and point to the fact that variation in context, challenges, dynamics, environment, as well as complexities make a 'one style fits all' approach to leadership counterproductive to maximising the potential and value that effective leadership has to offer. This has resulted in the advent and propagation of multiple and diverse styles and approaches to leadership being adopted over the years.

Objectives: Early education about death is essential to raise children's level of awareness and acceptance of death. The present study aimed to explore Early Childhood (EC) teachers' perceptions and attitudes to the integration of the concept of death and dying in early years educational settings. Method: This study is based on descriptive design and two scales; a modified death profile scale and teachers' perceptions of teaching children about the concept of death scale were distributed to female EC teachers (n = 617) who were selected randomly from EC schools in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Results: The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between teachers' qualifications and their attitudes to death education. Although teachers had positive perceptions and adequate knowledge about death, they did not view death education as beneficial for children. Teachers believed the topic should first be addressed at home before being introduced in school. Most teachers were self-educated about the subject of death and dying. Conclusion: These results provide new direction toward supporting children to understand the concept of death, to increase their preparation and learning about real life experience, which promotes their wellbeing.
