Natural Gas as a Strategic Product in the Energy Market
International gas market horizons have changed significantly. The shift towards gas as the main source of energy imposed a new dynamic especially with the increasing interest in the environmental issues. Therefore, this paper aims to show the importance of this resource through tackling the development of its exploitation and use and the size of its reserves. Furthermore, we try to shed light on the development of the prices and the trade worldwide using a descriptive analytical method for the available data and statistics. Consequently, we deduce that having influence on the gas market and its plans and projects is a necessary part of the geopolitical power measures currently.

أدت تطورات الغاز غير التقليدي الأخيرة المفاجئة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية إلى تشويش الصورة إزاء ما أطلق عليه ثورة الغاز الصخري فهل تمثل هذه الثورة واقعا حقيقيا ينطوي على توقعات واعدة أو أنها مبالغة تنبني على آمال خيالية فقط؟ حيث تحاول هذه الدراسة الإجابة على هذا السؤال بأن تقدم خلفية وسياقا للتطورات الأخيرة في أسواق الغاز وتستعرض الطريقة التي يمكن موارد الغاز غير التقليدي أن تؤثر بها في هذه الأسواق مستقبلا؛ كما تقوم التغيرات التي تطرأ على أسواق الغاز ولاسيما تآكل القيود السابقة على زيادة استخدام الغاز والنتائج المحتملة لتنامي الطلب مستقبلا ثم تسلط الدراسة الضوء على تطورات الغاز غير التقليدي الأخيرة في الولايات المتحدة والمدى الذي يمكن تكرار مثل هذه التطورات، في مناطق أخرى من العالم وخاصة أوربا وأخيرا تحلل التأثير المحتمل لهذه التطورات في سوق الغاز العالمية من خلال تأثيرها في الاستثمارات.

Gas Aggregation as a Regulatory Model to Promote Improved Security of Domestic Gas Supply
This paper analyzes the role that can be played by aggregation as a regulatory model for the effective structuring of a country's gas sector, with a focus on how aggregation has functioned and is and could be functioning, in certain countries. Aggregation, in one form or another, has enjoyed a colorful history in the regulatory shaping of several gas sectors. It has been applied successfully to the definition of nascent gas sectors in Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom. Aggregation has been applied, with varying degrees of success, to the re-regulation of gas sectors in Singapore, Ghana and Tanzania; it has been threatened to be applied in Israel and Indonesia; and it has almost certainly failed in Nigeria. Aggregation is but one of a number of regulatory models that can be used to structure the gas sector within a country's wider economy, and is the particular focus of this paper. This paper recognizes that there is no single or preferred model for the optimum regulation of the gas sector within any particular country, and different countries could take different views as to what they believe to be the most suitable regulatory model for their own particular gas sectors. This paper also recognizes that neither is there anything as simple as an agreed menu of established regulatory models for gas sector structuring, from which an appropriate selection can be made.

The Importance of the European Gas Market for Gas Suppliers
Energy acquires a strategic and international attention, the European Union is the third largest energy consumer in the world by volume, and over fifty percent of that energy is imported outside their zone of exchange. It is to say that EU's most important gas supplies comes from Russia mainly from Gazprom. Therefore, Russia needs the European energy market for its energy exports. This article will deconstruct Gazprom's strategy within the case study of the European exchanges and the implanted tools to guarantee and maintain the shares growth in light of the increasing competition of the European gas market.

استغلال الغاز الصخري : بين الضوابط البيئية والاجتماعية والكفاءة الاقتصادية
تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بالغاز الصخري وتبعاته، سيما بعد التوترات الداخلية التي عرفتها الجزائر عقب إصدار قانوني المحروقات رقم 13-01 المؤرخ في 20 فبراير 2013 والقانون رقم 19-13 المؤرخ في 11 ديسمبر 2019 واللذان أظهرت من خلالهما السلطة الجزائرية استراتيجيتها الطاقوية، حيث عبرت عن نيتها في البدء باستغلال هذا النوع الجديد من الغاز، مبررة ذلك بضرورات الأمن الطاقوي من جهة وتعزيز لمواردها المالية من جهة أخرى. كما تهدف الدراسة إلى تبيان المكانة التي أصبح يحظى بها الغاز الصخري من الناحية الاقتصادية سواء على المستوى الدولي أو الوطني ومدى تأثير استغلاله على النظم البيئية.
