Sociological Engagement of Selected Poems from Malawi
It seems less attention is paid to literary writers from Malawi. However, this study engages selected poems from the country. The purpose of this study is to sensitize readers with human conditions in that part of the world as reflected in the selected poems of Jack Mapanje, Edison Mpina and David Rubadiri. The poets are purposively selected because of their inclination towards social advancement. Content analysis is employed as methodology and sociological literary perspective serves as the conceptual framework. Findings reveal that the selected poems are sociopolitical satires of the post-colonial period in Malawi. The poets advocate for good governance.

Poetry a Safeguard to Arab Heritage and Past Memories
Arab culture and history have found their best historical documentation through poetry for many centuries. The Arab poetic tradition existed before written records emerged because poets functioned as living historical records through their verse. The Arab poetic tradition has maintained historical records of tribal existence and religious transformation and political instability and communal heritage through its Mu'allaqāt collection and contemporary resistance poetry. The paper examines the historical development of poetry as a historical record starting from pre-Islamic oral traditions through Islamic and Abbasid periods until reaching contemporary literary activism. The research examines how poetry functions as both a historical recorder and builder of Arab collective memory through the analysis of major literary works and traditional forms such as Nabati poetry and Yemeni popular verse. The paper demonstrates through this practice that poetry functions as both a literary form and a method to preserve cultural memory and an independent system for Arab historical transmission from one generation to another. The study investigates Arab poetry through its function as cultural memory and its role in recording history.

A Study of Discourse-Stylistic as an Approach in the Analysis of Hopkins' Poem ''Binsey Poplars
Discourse-stylistic has the benefits of an eclectic methodology as well as an organized study. Also, it can establish a connection between literary and linguistic studies. A discourse-stylistic analysis is presented in this study of a poem of a well- known poet of the British literature, Gerard Manley Hopkins. Accordingly, this study aims to discuss how cohesion might contribute to interpreting and understanding poetry. Besides, it shows how stylistic analysis shapes the meanings of literary texts. Therefore, the significant of the present study is based on the fact that it contributes to the understanding of how linguistic and stylistic analysis of a text can be made to elucidate the features and meanings of texts. Based on the results and findings, the study has drawn the following conclusions: through this study, a discourse-stylistic analysis of the selected poem has shown that there is a distinction between poetic and non-poetic language. Furthermore, the words selected by the poet have a big influence on how meaning is developed. Therefore, through discourse-stylistic analysis, it is deduced the poem's overall meaning.

A Cultural Ecological Reading of Human-Nature Interconnectivity in Mahmoud Darwish's \the Second Olive Tree\
The aesthetic is considered in modern ecocriticism. This article reads the olive tree metaphor in Mahmoud Darwish's \"The Second Olive Tree\" to argue that neither the anthropocentric approach of human-centeredness nor the biocentric one of nature centeredness is proper to depicting the indissoluble interconnectedness between binaries such as nature/culture, matter/mind, and human/non-human worlds. So, in light of the cultural ecology of Hubert Zapf, this paper proposes ecocultural reading as a solution to the dualistic views of these binaries. Such a reading acknowledges the mutual relationship between nature and culture, mind and matter, and human and non human worlds as well as their dynamic and evolutionary interrelationships. At the same time, this reading does not cross the boundaries between them. It is also a way of cultural self-renewal when empowering marginalized or excluded interconnected patterns and of imaginative counter-discourses of this dualistic approach. Furthermore, the cultural ecology paradigm, as a transdisciplinary undertaking, contributes to ecocriticism and environmental humanitiess.

الكتاب دراسة رائدة في الصورة والتراسل بين المخيلة والعين في الشعر العربي، وإذا كان المهتمون بعلم الجمال قد درسوا من قبل كل فن من الفنون منفردا فإن المؤلف يدرس هنا العلاقات والسمات والثيمات المشتركة بين مجمل الفنون البصرية والسمعية والتأثيرات المتبادلة فيما بينها عبر تراسل الحواس والتناص وتحول السمعي إلى البصري، والبصري إلى سمعي، في سياق الكشف عن فضاء جمالي مميز ومشترك.
