يقوم هذا البحث بإجراء دراسة تأثيلية للكلمات الدخيلة الواردة في حقل الثياب وما يتعلق بها في معجم ألفاظ الحضارة ومصطلحات الفنون، الصادر عن مجمع اللغة العربية في القاهرة عام ثمانين وتسعمئة وألف؛ وذلك للوقوف على الأصول اللغوية التي تعود إليها كل كلمة من هذه الكلمات، وتحديد التغيرات التي طرأت عليها في المستويات الصوتية والدلالية. ويتكون البحث من: المقدمة، وإجراءات تأثيل الدخيل، ثم دراسة الكلمات الدخيلة الواردة في حقل الثياب وما يتعلق بها؛ وعددها ست عشرة كلمة هي: الإبزيم، الباروكة، البنطلون، البيجامة، التبان، الترلك، الجورب، الحرملة، السروال، الشال، الشبشب، الصندل، الفانيلة، القفطان، القلنسوة، الموضة. وفي الختام وضعت النتائج التي أجملت ما توصل إليه البحث.

This study aimed to analyze the foreign English loanwords in Standard Arabic within the framework of a non-linear phonology (autosegmental phonology). The analysis of the data focused on selected phonological processes such as: consonantal substitutions including voicing, devoicing, velarization, fortition. Moreover, it covers the phonological process of assimilation, comprising palatalization, labialization, nasalization, and vowel harmony. Furthermore, vowel lengthening and shortening phonological processes were identified in the collected data. The sample of the study is collected from six sources: Said (1976), Zughoul and Hussein (1993), Al-Saqqa (2001), Mukkaram (2006), Salem (2015), and Abu Guba (2016). Finally, the study showed that autosegmental theory provides an adequate analysis in explaining certain phonological processes when dealing with English loanwords.

إن من عادة اللغات الحية الأخذ والعطاء على سبيل الاقتراض، وخاصة المفردات. ولقد أخذت اللغة العربية من اللغات الأخرى ألفاظا متعددة في شتى مجالات الحياة الإنسانية، فأصبحت جزءا منها دخيلا. وهناك ألفاظ أخرى أجنبية لم تتسرب إلى اللغة العربية بل يستخدمها الناس في محادثاتهم كتاباتهم عشوائيا متى دعت الحاجة. فكتاب \"نيل المرام بزيارة مدينة درهام\" يحتوي على عناصر كثيرة غير العربية والتي قد تشكل عائقا أمام الفهم الدقيق لمضمونه. وهذا البحث يهدف إلى تعرف تلك العناصر لإلقاء الضوء على مدلولاتها وبيان أصول الدخيل منها بقصد إزالة العقبات أمام القارئ وتخليصه مما قد يحوله عن فهم ما يحتويه الكتاب. ولتحقيق الهدف يسلك البحث المنهج الوصفي الذي يدرس ظاهرة أو مشكلة ويصفها بطريقة علمية للوصول إلى تفسيرات منطقية. تكشف نتائج البحث أن الكتاب يحتوي على أكثر من مأتين عنصرا غير عربي، وأنها تحتاج إلى تفسيرات لفهم حقيقي ومناسب لمضمون الكتاب.

هذا البحث دراسة نقدية لتأثير ترجمة الكلمات والتعابير الدخيلة أو المستعارة على اللغة العربية. حيث تعد الاستعارة اللغوية بمثابة صفة بارزة موجودة في كل اللغات. وتتأثر كل لغة حية تأثرا ايجابيا بهذه الظاهرة. فهي عبارة عن نتيجة طبيعية لما يسمى بالترجمة الافتراضية والتي تعد نوعا مهما من أنواع الترجمة. كما وتعد أيضا إحدى وسائل الإثراء اللغوي في أي لغة حية. تبين بأن اللغة العربية قد حصلت على الكثير من الاستعارة اللغوية عبر الترجمة الافتراضية على المستويين التركيبي والمفرداتي. كما وتبين أيضا بأن الاقتراض اللغوي قد حصل بطريقة أو بأخرى على استحسان مستخدمي اللغة العربية من الناس العاديين والاختصاصيين في مجال اللغة والأدب على السواء. وهكذا فقد برهنت اللغة العربية حيويتها فضلا عن قابليتها على التواصل مع غيرها من اللغات الحية.

The fact that the current influx of English borrowings is unprecedented in the history of Arabic generates lexical interference between both languages. This study aims at presenting a phonological analysis of the modifications in lexis this language contact brings about, by means of some linguistic techniques of inter-language adaptation. Essentially, the study shows how English loan words are phonologically adapted after they are transferred directly or indirectly into Arabic. By analyzing some selected editorials of Al-Ahram newspaper, the study concludes that the importation of new English loan words does not represent a threat for Arabic since the Arabic linguistic system has the ability to assimilate such new words by adapting them to its own structures.

This paper examines the impact of English on Arabic, a topical theme with linguistic and cultural implications. The most direct reflection of this impact is seen in the influx of anglicisms into the lexicon of Arabic. Since media is one of \"the most influential sources in the introduction of new vocabulary\" (Makarova, 2012, p. 74), accordingly, this paper explores the outcomes of using anglicisms in the language of Arab media, where the presence of borrowings has increased in an unparalleled degree. The research methodology employed here consists of scanning some selected editorials of al-Ahram newspaper. The analyzed time period is from 2015 until 2018. The findings of the study show that the spread of anglicisms has often been viewed as a sign as much of the enrichment of Arabic as of its decay.
