Error Analysis as an Effective Procedure for Improving Translation Product
This study examines Error Analysis (EA) as an effective procedure for improving translation performance among Egyptian EFL prospective teachers enrolled in Faculties of Education. The research addresses the persistent problem of recurrent linguistic and translation errors that negatively affect the accuracy, cohesion, and stylistic quality of students' translated texts. The theoretical foundation is grounded in Corder's (1967) Error Analysis framework, which views learner errors not as failures but as indicators of the interlanguage system and the cognitive processes involved in second language acquisition. A descriptive-analytical method was used to collect and analyze samples of translations produced by fourth-year English majors at Menoufia University's Faculty of Education. Errors were categorized into four major types: grammatical, lexical, semantic, and stylistic. A questionnaire was also administered to explore students' awareness of their own errors and their self-correction strategies. Findings revealed that grammatical and lexical errors were the most frequent, particularly in verb tense usage, subject-verb agreement, and word choice. Semantic errors often stemmed from literal translation, while stylistic problems reflected limited exposure to authentic target-language structures. Following the implementation of a training module based on error analysis principles, participants showed significant improvement in translation accuracy and textual coherence, along with increased metalinguistic awareness. The study concludes that incorporating error analysis into teacher-preparation and translation courses can serve as an efficient pedagogical tool to enhance both linguistic competence and reflective learning. It recommends integrating systematic error analysis tasks in translation curricula and encouraging self-monitoring practices that transform errors into constructive learning opportunities. عام 1992 أصدرنا سلسلة كتب لتعليم اللغة الإنكليزية وتم طبع خمس طبعات منها وهي : قواعد المحادثة، الترجمة العملية، قواعد الكتابة، وبعد عشر سنوات قررنا أن نضيف ونزيد الأهم على هذا المرشد هو كتاب شامل للذين يريدون أن يتعلموا هذه اللغة الشيقة بدون معلم، هذا المرشد هو أول كتاب من نوعه إذ أنه يتضمن ثلاث مراحل أساسية في تعليم اللغة الإنكليزية هي نفسها التي كانت مجزأة قبل عشر سنوات. والأهم في هذا المرشد أنه يتضمن طريقة مهمة للتعليم وهي لفظ الكلمات الإنكليزية باللغة العربية لكي يسهل عليه التعلم بسرعة واللفظ السليم للحروف والكلمات. مهما تحدثنا عن هذا المرشد فقليل. عليك عزيزي القارئ أن تقتنيه للتعرف على محتوياته وابدأ من البداية خطوة خطوة تكون من المتحدثين للغة الإنكليزية في خلال شهور قليلة. كما نلفت نظر قارئنا العزيز أن المؤلف هو أستاذ للغة الإنكليزية وحامل شهادات عديدة في هذا المجال.

Effectiveness of a Program based on Virtual Classroom Environment in Developing English Language Translation Skills for Open Education Students
This study aimed at examining the effectiveness of a virtual classroom environment in developing Translation skills for open education students. The study used a one treatment group quasi-experimental design, in which thirty- five Egyptian Open Education students enrolled in the Translation Program at the Open Learning Centre, Cairo University in year 2019/2020 were randomly chosen. To test hypotheses, five instruments were administered on different intervals during 10-week treatment utilizing descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze data quantitatively and qualitatively. instruments included translation skills questionnaire, pre/post EFL Translation skills test, rubrics, Reflection log for students, and participants' satisfaction questionnaire. Findings revealed that teaching through virtual classroom environment has an effectiveness in developing students' translation skills from English language into Arabic language and vice versa as indicated by their posttest scores. Moreover, students showed significant satisfaction with the proposed program.

دراسة دلالية للمصطلحات في اللغتين الإنجليزية والكردية
Nowadays, English is widely used in Kurdistan Region. It is also a compulsory subject in all most all schools, colleges and universities. Although idioms in English are studied widely but still there are so many areas that have not been tackled yet. The main part of this study is the idiomatic expressions in English and Kurdish by focusing on the meanings of the English idioms in both languages as well as conducting comparative analysis between them. The present study consists of five sections. The first section introduces the aims, the limitations and the method of the study. And section two investigates the concept of idioms. Section three is about the semantic properties of idiomatic expressions in English. Section four shows idioms in Kurdish. Section five presents the characteristics of idioms in English and Kurdish in addition to the differences between them. Finally, the study ends with some conclusions.

آراء الطلاب نحو استخدام الانترنت في تعلم اللغة الانجليزية
لاحظ الباحث كونه مدرساً في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية بكلية اللغات والترجمة في جامعة الملك خالد أن العديد من الطلاب يستخدمون الإنترنت في البيت والجامعة ومقاهي الإنترنت، إلا أن الفائدة التي يحصلون عليها من الإنترنت في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية فائدة محدودة. وقد هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة آراء الطلاب عن استخدام الإنترنت في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من (121) طالباً من طلاب السنتين الثانية والثالثة الذكور من طلاب قسم اللغة الإنجليزية في كلية اللغات والترجمة بجامعة الملك خالد خلال الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الجامعي (2003/2004). وقد تم جمع البيانات من خلال تطبيق استبانة على أفراد العينة بعد التحقق من صدقها وثباتها. وقد توصلت هذه الدراسة إلى نتائج عديدة يمكن تلخيصها بما يأتي: - يستخدم غالبية الطلاب (71.90 %) الإنترنت، وغالبيتهم (86.20 %) يعدونها مفيدة في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. - يستخدم غالبية الطلاب الإنترنت للدردشة والبريد الإلكتروني وقراءة الأخبار باللغة العربية. - قلما يتلقى الطلاب تشجيعا من مدرسيهم لاستخدام الإنترنت في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. - ذكر غالبية الطلاب (82.75 %) أنهم بحاجة إلى التدريب على كيفية استخدام الإنترنت في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. وانتهت هذه الدراسة بجملة من التوصيات أهمها تصميم موقع إنترنت خاص بكلية اللغات والترجمة وتزويد هذا الموقع بالمحاضرات والمواد التي تساعد الطلاب في تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية، وكذلك تشجيع الطلاب والمدرسين على التواصل والتفاعل باستخدام الإنترنت.
