The research aims to show the impact of architectural developments in terms of both the design and architectural methods and the building materials on the development of the architecture of the city of Baghdad between the past and present. The research depends on the historical, descriptive and analytical approach. The research problem is: Has the city of Baghdad changed over time? And why? Does this have an impact on the urban fabric of the city? What are the factors that contributed to the change of architecture of the city? The research has reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the change in the elements of the urban landscape of the city of Baghdad in its early stages, specifically in the fifties, which is one of the stages of urban development in which the emergence of high-rise buildings with multiple floors of modernity continued its march in the sixties and seventies, which represent the product of Iraq's rugged architecture.

In The Master Builder, Henrik Ibsen gave the stage Halvard Sonless, an architect and businessman as a tragic hero whose fall is precipitated by various factors: psychological, social, and occupational. And while the psychological and social factors are researched and commented on extensively by many scholars and critics, the last area which has to do with Solness\"s profession is hardly approached. Therefore, in the study, Solness\"s business world, vocational principles, and work ethics are explored in an attempt to read Solness\"s tragic end as the natural corollary of his failure to maintain a staunch work morality. Reading The Master Builder from a vocational point of view proved that Solness possessed a flawed business logic that compromised his career and led him blindly toward his end. He is by no means the empowering boss, but a parasitic business owner who plans to promote his occupational interests at the expense of his employee's hard work.

2023
The education and industry of architecture and engineering disciplines are being transformed by Building Information Modelling (BIM) through digitization. Recent literature shows that BIM is in reality 90% sociology and 10% technology, despite the perception that it is 90% technology and 10% sociology. Without social interventions within technological models, barriers and limitations that are evident in the social culture of an institution could result in being reflected in dead-ended technical and technological structures and solutions. For this, concepts of social sustainability and cultural resilience are promoted by proposing socio technical solutions relying on the theoretical model of Situational Awareness (SA) as a cornerstone in this research. The investigation method on the link between BIMenabled Education and SA is done through multiple interviews within the academic sector of multiple educational institutions within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The results of this study could design a preliminary framework for approaching technical solutions to social dilemmas and thus help in enhanced implementation and collaboration in BIM-enabled education in the GCC.

Architecture of Food: A Study on The Impact of Food Malls in Kuwait
2019
Food and architecture have not often been discussed together despite their intimate connections. They both produce creative pieces of art and share a technical side that relies on careful measurements and aesthetic proportions. Yet, for the most part, many contemporary researchers have overlooked them. This paper intends to better understand how food and architecture are related by examining Kuwait's rising food culture scene as a case study. Over the past decade, the phenomenon of the 'food mall' has emerged and grown rapidly around Kuwait City. The architecture in question caters only for restaurants, cafe's, and anything related to food. Many of these buildings have risen among residential neighbourhoods. In order to understand this trend and its implications for people and their built environment, this study employs questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The findings show clear impact of globalization on Kuwait's food consumption patterns and the architectural landscape. Thus, the food malls are perceived as entertainment in a country with limited venues for recreation and have used interesting architectural concepts such as shipping containers, lakes, dancing fountains, and gardens to lure customers. As a result, the bond between food and architecture has led to unhealthy eating habitats and shifting lifestyles among Kuwaiti youth. This paper contends that a more sustainable and balanced approach to the outdoor food design and experience is necessary to elevate people towards a more sustainable and healthy quality of life.

Prefabricated Housing Units and Interior Design Priorities for Kuwaiti Citizens
2019
Prefabricated buildings are built in factory-like setting and then transported to and assembled in the defired location rather than being constructed on the site itself. They have many advantages, including speed and cost of construction and reduced envrionmental impact. As such, prefabricated houses are a potential solution to Kuwait's long¬standing and growing housing problems - if people can be persuaded to live in them. This paper describes research to investigate Kuwaiti people's attitudes toward prefabricated houses and their requirements for their interior design. The results of a questionnaire admininstered to a representative sample of Kuwaiti adults show that there is a general lack of understanding about the nature and benefits of prefabricated buildings, and in particular the potential for their interiors to be customized to their owners' whishes. Many indicated that they would consider living in a prefabricated house if it met their requirements for a conforaable, well-designed and stylish home. Given the general lack of knowledge about prefabricated houses, the authors conclude that the government has a role to play in raising the Kuwaiti people's awareness of the benefits of modern and well- designed prefabricated houses.

Architecture Factors Affecting the Re-Selection of the New Suitable Function for Industrial Heritage Buildings in the Process of Their Adaptive Reuse
Due to modern technologies, industrial heritage buildings are going to be demolishing by investors because their functions have become non-existent and they are no longer used at the present time. Due to the distinctive identity and values of industrial history sites, that areas required adaptive reuse instead of redevelopment or demolition, but unfortunately during the period of adaptive reuse some of these buildings face a problem of non-continuity due to not choosing the suitable & optimal new function of those buildings. This paper focuses on reaching the architectural factors affecting the selection of new function of industrial building during the adaptive reuse as a result of this paper. This paper will mention results through literature review of linking the Architecture Attributes & values of industrial heritage buildings during adaptive reuse with focusing on attributes of the industrial building itself & its location, with the options of functions in Adaptive reuse of industrial heritage buildings (new function). This for mentioning and discussing the architecture factors affecting the selection of new function for industrial building during the adaptive reuse. Finally, mentioning and discussing those factors as the result of this paper, will help in selecting the optimal new function that will contribute positively in expanding the life of industrial heritage buildings in adaptive reuse, and reaching this, has positive effects that will help lowering energy consumption, pollutions, and material costs.
