The present study aimed at exploring ESP teachers' and learners' perspectives in using mobile devices as instructional and assistant tools in their practices. The researcher administered a questionnaire and organized a semi-structured interview to 40 business students and 12 ESP teachers, respectively. The findings revealed that most if not all participants (N=39) are positive to using their mobile devices, smartphones in particular, in their learning. Similarly, teachers showed acceptance to their use, yet they highlighted that they cannot control students' mobile usage especially when the devices is connected to the network. They also recommended training and assistance as most of them (N=08) are digital immigrants.

Information Literacy of Egyptians Regarding Medical ID Records on Smart Phones
2025
Health literacy is a crucial area of focus for information literacy, particularly for advancing public health in a nation and addressing basic preventative concerns. Medical identification (ID) is a critical source of valuable information. The fastest approach to save lives is to have accurate and reliable medical information about patients. Having a medical ID makes it easier for primary care providers to access vital medical information about a patient's condition and emergency contact details. The study aims to measure the information literacy of Egyptians regarding medical identity (ID) records on smartphones as a primary source of information in emergencies. The scope of the study focuses on the use of the Medical ID feature, available for free on Android and iOS smartphones, in emergency situations in the Greater Cairo area of Egypt in 2023, avoiding any other health applications downloaded on smartphones. The qualitative approach was adopted in the study, which is predicated on collecting qualitative data through an examination of attitudes and behavior in participants, study using a standardized electronic questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The results of the study showed that 42% of participants were aware of the medical ID feature on smartphones. After reading the questionnaire's introduction, 51% understood its function, significance, and usage, while 21% were already aware and had used it. The awareness level of medical ID features on smartphones was higher among females (55%, aged 18- 22), and those with a university education (77%). However, 28% of those who were aware of the medical ID feature on smartphones did not use it, with 46% of them lacking some personal medical information, such as their blood type. Despite the potential of medical ID to save lives, the study found a low level of information literacy among Egyptians regarding medical ID records on smartphones, coupled with a significant lack of personal health information.

This study aimed to translate and investigate the psychometric properties of the short version of the Smartphone Addiction Scale in Saudi Arabia. A sample of 590 respondents participated in this study and answered the Smartphone Addiction Scale, the Smartphone Application-Based Addiction Scale (SABAS), the Internet Gaming Disorder Scale - Short Form (IGDS-SF) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, as well as socio-demographic questions. To validate SAS-SV, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability analysis, concurrent and convergent validity were performed. The scale exhibited adequate internal consistency and test-retest reliability (Cronbach's a =0.79 the test-retest reliability = 0.83), good concurrent and convergent validity. The CFA supported a unidimensional structure established by previous studies with good fit indices. In conclusion, the scale is valid and reliable and can be used to assess the levels of smartphone addiction in Saudi Arabia.

Objectives: The aim of study was to analyze the impact of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and service quality on individuals' inclination to utilize the DANA financial technology application. Furthermore, the variable exerting the most dominant influence on the intention to use the DANA financial technology application was investigated. Methods: The data used were exclusively drawn from administration of a questionnaire on 100 respondents. Nonprobability and purposive sampling techniques were also employed. Data analysis included validity testing, reliability assessment, classic assumption verification, F-tests, t-tests, and the calculation of the coefficient of determination and multiple linear regression. Results: The results showed that all the independent variables analyzed, namely perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and service quality, have a significant effect on interest in using financial technology applications. Conclusion: From these results, we suggest that the manager of DANA Financial Technology be more careful in implementing policies to increase interest in using the application so that the ease and comfort that users already feel can be maintained.

The Effects of Assistive Technology Learning in a Language Course
2020
Technology assisted learning is a phenomenon that has greatly changed the way learning is undertaken in the 21st century. Developments in information and communication technologies have led to the emergence of smart phones such as Blackberries and iPhones. The concept of mobile assisted learning, which is a subset of technology assisted learning, has emerged as a result of these technological developments. This paper is going to examine how technology assisted learning influence the effectiveness of the learning process. The following is a qualitative research where 20 male and 20 female university language instructor were interviewed, the results of the study show that mobile-assisted learning can improve grammar skills among students studying English, that Mobile-assisted learning is one of the best alternatives that can be used to compliment or replace face to face learning, that use of iPhone and Blackberry assisted learning has a potential of distracting students. Future research should be done on ways of improving mobile assisted learning so that this phenomenon can be adopted and replicated globally. Research should also focus on content and curriculum development. Future research should also be conducted to investigate whether the potential negative effects of mobile aided learning are valid.
