Picturing Presidents in Conflict Times
This study analyzes the depiction of the presidents of the great nations during the conflict times in CNN (Cable News Network) website. The present study will depend on a great extent on the visual framing theory in order to be able to identify the frames that appeared in the visual coverage of those presidents, according to the presumption of veracity that readers ascribe to the role of photographs in producing the meaning. Therefore, this study will be considered very timely. The analysis is meant to focus on explaining how the international website presented the pictures of those presidents and how they are visually framed (involved or not, interacting or not... etc.). Also, the analysis will be based on (position of presidents focused or unfocused \"foreground, background\", camera angle, types of shots... etc.). This study fills a gap in research, as framing scholarship lacks studies on visual elements related to framing. The study will depend on the Survey method which is considered one of the most important basic research methods in Social Sciences. The sample of the study will be about CNN, as the researcher found that this website is rich with photos related to the event to be analyzed, the study will analyze a period of three months. The issue of interest is given the current political situation in the world, and the international reaction towards different events. A systematic analysis was conducted on visual coverage of the presidents of great nations. A website is analyzed, which is CNN (Cable News Network). The recent political unrest in the world provided an opportunity to examine differences in how visuals of the presidents were presented to the audience.

Exploration de la Multimodalité dans L'image Publicitaire via Quelques Affiches et Annonces de Sites Web
Cette recherche vise à explorer la valeur de la multimodalité dans l'image publicitaire moderne via quelques affiches et annonces de sites web. Cette multimodalité de l'image publicitaire, qui dépend de l'emploi d'éléments tels que l'image, le texte, l'icône, le logo, les couleurs, etc., est un ensemble de signes expressifs et implicites qui transmet un message au public de manière attractive et promotionnelle pour acheter un produit. Ce phénomène est abordé dans une approche sémiotique à travers la théorie de Joly Martin, qui a suivi une analyse d'images, et qui a développé les idées de Roland Barthes qui considérait que l'image avait un rôle de support dans l'explication du sens voulu selon le texte ; alors que Joly pense que les messages iconiques et plastiques d'égale importance comme les messages linguistiques. Par conséquent, nous avons prouvé à travers cette étude que les éléments visuels jouent le rôle de complémentarité ou d'association indissociable de l'élément textuel présent dans l'image publicitaire. À proprement parler, il n'y a pas de perception exhaustive sans une combinaison parfaite entre ces éléments.

تتناول هذه الدراسة تحليل الصور البلاغية في قصائد الشاعر شعبان روبرت من خلال قصيدة زخرفة اللغة وحياتنا بعد الخمسين عام، وقد اعتمد الباحث في هذه الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من أجل وصف وتحليل الصور البلاغية الأكثر شيوعا في أسلوب الكاتب والتي تم الوصول إليها عن طريق المنهج الإحصائي، ومن خلال عملية جمع وإحصاء البيانات توصلت الدراسة إلى أن أكثر الصور البلاغية استخداما في أسلوب الكاتب كانت: الاستعارة، والتشبيه، والتكرار، والتورية، والجناس والتي استخدمها الكاتب لخلق إيقاع أو تعزيز المعنى في قصائده أو للتركيز في وصف الجو العام لقصائده أو الحالة الشعورية لها، كما كان الكاتب يهدف لتوظيف الصور البلاغية في أشعاره لأجل معالجة بعض القضايا الاجتماعية مثل العنف ضد المرأة و مكانتها في المجتمع وهذا ما جعل من أشعار الكاتب ذات قيمة أدبية و اجتماعية ويكون أسلوبه مؤثرا في مختلف شرائح المجتمع التنزاني.

An Optimized Image Watermarking Technique Based on LU Factorization and Entropy Analysis
An optimized image watermarking technique based on LU factorization and entropy analysis in combination with lifting wavelet transform and discrete cosine transform is presented in this paper. At first, the original image is decomposed by a 2-level lifting wavelet transform for obtaining the coefficients of a high-frequency sub band followed by discrete cosine transform. Afterward, non-overlapping blocks are obtained by dividing the coefficients of discrete cosine transform whereas LU factorization is applied to each non-overlapping blocks based on pseudo-random sequences. Then, the watermark is embedded into the first row, the first column element of the upper triangular matrix of LU factorization. The normalized cross-correlation (NC), and the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) are used to evaluate the invisibility and robustness of the presented technique. The experimental results have indicated that the presented technique fulfills all watermarking requirements in terms of invisibility, robustness, security, and capacity. The comparison with the existing scheme has shown that the proposed watermarking technique has a superior performance in terms of invisibility than the existing scheme.

سيمولوجيا الصورة الصحفية
الصورة هي تلك اللحظة الجامدة المطبوعة على الصحيفة ذات المضمون المهم، الواضح، الجذاب والمعبر عن الأحداث أو الأشخاص ومختلف المناسبات المتصلة غالبا بمادة تحريرية معينة من أجل التأكيد، أو لتوضيح ولفت الانتباه. هذه الصورة التي أصبحت تلتقط من طرف عدسة المصور بطريقة تعكس حسا فنيا اتصاليا أخذت حيزا هاما في دراسات السيميولوجيا حيث إن الصورة تتفتح على العديد من الطرق المنهجية والإجراءات الفنية المعتمدة في التحليل والتأويل والبحث عن الدلالة في مختلف مجالات الحياة التي يمكن للتجارب الإنسانية أن تكون ضمنها. لقد توصل رولان بارت إلى إيجاد طريقة لتحليل الصورة الفوتوغرافية وفق ثلاثة محاور أساسية وهو ما سنعتمده في تحليلنا لصورة صحفية تم اختيارها وفق أهميتها والتأثير الذي تركته عند نشرها، صورة عذراء بن طلحة التي نشرت في العديد من الجرائد لتبرز بشاعة الإرهاب إبان العشرية السوداء في الجزائر، وما كان لهذه الصورة ولا يزال من أثر واضح ومرسخ في الرأي العام.

A \MS Convolution-HC Texture\ Filtering proposed Method to Spatially Enhance Supervised - Unsupervised Land Cover Classification Analysis
Image Classification has formed an important part of the fields of remote sensing, image analysis, and pattern recognition. This paper is an attempt to introduce a new method of classification enhancement by merging both median spatial convolution filtering (MSCF) and grey level homogeneity co-occurrence texture filter (HCTF). The size of the neighborhood convolution mask or Kernel (n) is constrained to be 3×3 with nine coefficients (Ci). In this respect, two different spatially, spectrally, and temporally satellite data imagery are used. The American Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) is used in comparison with the French SPOT data imagery. Two types of SPOT satellite images are used. The first is in the multispectral mode (Xs), which is SPOT-5 of High-Resolution Geometric (HRG) data. While the second is in the panchromatic (PAN) mode, which is SPOT-2 PAN. The proposed method involves applying the technique through examining both supervised and unsupervised classification by using the minimum distance classifier method and the ISODATA algorithm method, respectively. Furthermore, this study experiences the usage of the proposed method in different spatially resampled data imagery and ends with a post classification accuracy assessment that significantly offers satisfying overall accuracies and kappa coefficient results. Additionally, it reduces the error percentage up to approximately 7% difference when compared to the conventional method. Al- Madinah Al-Munawarah in Saudi Arabia was chosen as a case study area to conduct the analysis because of its diversity and variety in terms of land cover and land use classes.
