The Necessity to Shift to a Cultural Approach in Teaching Translation
The present paper tries to investigate the necessity of including culture within the translation course syllabus at the Department of English (Universitè des Frères Mentouri Constantine 1). It attempts to show that teaching translation cannot be successful without relating it to culture. It tries, also, to determine the importance of teaching culture, first, in the foreign language classroom and second, within the translation course syllabus. Our study is based on a teachers' questionnaire aiming at having some insights about the teacher's and the student's awareness of the concept of culture; in addition to their opinion about the importance of implementing culture within the translation course. The study validates the importance of implementing culture in both teaching and designing translation syllabi.

Strategies for Utilizing Artificial Intelligence to Support EFL Teachers Across Different Educational Levels
The study examines how teachers can employ artificial intelligence to support themselves in the teaching process. To achieve the study's goals, the researchers adopted a mixed-method approach supported by a systematic content analysis of recent literature, from which they selected 30 studies, as well as an experts' workshop that included 15 specialists. The findings show that AI is a multifaceted technology that can simulate human intelligence to improve language learning. The study also identifies significant challenges, such as the lack of sufficient AI training among many EFL teachers, the shortage of technical equipment in some educational institutions, and teachers' concerns about the ethical implications of using AI in education. The study concludes that AI holds considerable potential to enhance EFL teaching and learning when implemented judiciously. Finally, the paper recommends investing in teacher professional development and infrastructure, as well as establishing clear ethical guidelines.

Examining the Perceived Challenges in Dissertation Writing for EFL Master's Students
Writing a dissertation is a crucial component of master's programs. However, EFL master's students often face various challenges during the dissertation writing process. This study aimed to investigate the difficulties encountered by EFL master's students in writing their dissertations. A quantitative research approach was adopted, and a questionnaire was used as the data collection instrument. The sample for this study consisted of 94 EFL master's students, selected using a convenience sampling technique. The questionnaire assessed the students' perceptions of the difficulties they faced in various aspects of the dissertation writing process. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The findings revealed that EFL master's students encountered significant challenges in several areas of dissertation.

Using Bilingual Instruction Approach in Developing Secondary Stage Student's English Translation Skills at Shalateen City
The current research investigated the effectiveness of using bilingual instruction approach in developing secondary stage students' translation skills at shalateen city. The research followed the quasi experimental design of one experimental group and pre-post application of instruments. Thirty-two students from first year secondary stage of sa'ad abu-Reda school, Shalateen administration, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt, were randomly chosen for one experimental group to participate in the research. Materials and instruments of the research included a list of translation skills to determine the skills needed to be developed, an instructional materials based on using the bilingual instruction approach and, a translation skills test. The results of the research showed that a statically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in pre/posttest of English translation test in favor of the posttest. Moreover, the results showed that there was a statistically significant positive effect of the program on developing translation sub-skills in pre/posttest favoring the posttest in (literal, semantic, and pragmatic) and the overall of translation skill for the participants. Therefore, the findings of the research showed that bilingual instruction approach significantly improved the participants' translation skills.

Foreign Language Learners' Beliefs and Use of Language Learning Strategies
Variation in individuals' success in learning a foreign/second language is often attributed to a host of cognitive, psychological and socio-cultural factors. Learners' language learning strategies and preconceived beliefs have been explored as possible factors contributing to this variation. Research suggests that successful language learners usually utilize, whether consciously or subconsciously, more effective strategies than less proficient learners (Chamot, 2004). Similarly, learners' beliefs are thought to shape the course of their linguistic development and their whole language learning experience (Debreli, 2012). Thus, any mistaken beliefs could have prolonged detrimental and negative effects on the learners' learning experience (Peacock, 2001). Hence, this paper investigates the intricate relationship between learners' beliefs and their strategic preferences. The study uses two questionnaires to collect data from 173 students in the English Department at SQU, Oman. Inferential statistical analysis shows an overall medium use of learning strategies, with metacognitive strategies occupying a top position. The results about learners' beliefs reveal that learners' motivation and expectations are the strongest set of beliefs held by language learners. Learners seem to accord less significance to the traditional role of grammar and vocabulary in language learning. As for the relationship between strategies and beliefs, the findings show that students' beliefs intricately correlate with different categories of strategies. In specific, foreign language aptitude and learners' motivation and expectations strongly correlate with almost all sets of strategies. From a pedagogical perspective, the findings of this investigation are of a great significance for both learners and instructors. To ensure a successful language learning experience, instructors need to give special attention to helping learners overcome any preconceived negative beliefs and providing them with proper training on how to use appropriate strategies.
