تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى بيان أهمية اللغة المضادة \"anti-language\" في إظهار علاقة اللغة بالبنية الاجتماعية، وتتناول هذه الظاهرة تطبيقيا على أدب السجون. وتنقسم الدراسة إلى مقدمة نظرية تعرض التأسيس النظري لظاهرة اللغة المضادة عند اللغويين، ثم تنطلق إلى الجزء التطبيقي الذي يحلل هذه الظاهرة في بعض الأعمال الأدبية التي تنتمي إلى أدب السجون. وترمي الدراسة إلى تحقيق عدة أهداف منها؛ تعريف اللغة المضادة وأسباب ظهورها، وإظهار علاقتها بالمجتمع المضاد، كما ترمي إلى بيان أنواعها وسماتها. وتتبع الدراسة المنهج الوصفي؛ فتصف لغة السجناء وتحللها دلاليا وتركيبيا؛ لتبين مدى خصوصيتها، وارتباطها بالبيئة الجديدة التي خلقتها الظروف المحيطة. وقد وقع اختيار الدراسة على مجموعة من الأعمال التي تنتمي إلى أدب السجون (المصرية) خاصة؛ لأن دراسة اللغات المضادة تهتم بالعلاقة بين اللغة والبنية الاجتماعية، كما تهتم بالطريقة التي يعمل بها النص في إدراك السياقات الاجتماعية، وبالتالي فهي ترتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بالبيئة المحيطة بها. وقصدت الدراسة التنوع؛ فشملت هذه الأعمال الرواية والمسرحية والقصة القصيرة والسيرة.

Politeness\" is a culturally defined pattern of language use that enables the speaker to formulate appropriate speech acts like an apology. The speech act of apology is a part of pragmatics study and belongs to expressive speech acts. However, it cannot be separated from sociolinguistics because social factors such as social context, gender, and the participants' relationship can all have an impact on how apologizers make their apologies. The selection of the appropriate formulas of apology strategies to pay off violations of social norms is considered a hard task since it is based on some cultural and social norms. Thus, the present study aims to study the apology strategies used by Iraqi male/female postgraduate students at the University of Anbar, in addition to investigating the effect of gender on the use of polite apology strategies. An oral Discourse Completion Task was used as a data collection instrument, supported by a semi-structured interview. The data has been analysed using the descriptive analysis method, based on Leech's (2014) classification of apology. The findings revealed that \"expressing regret\" was the most frequently used apology strategy. Furthermore, both genders used different indirect strategies to support their apologies. Both genders used a new supporting move, which is \"admitting responsibility for in-group member's fault.\" In conclusion, the gender of the participants has a slight effect on the choice of polite apology strategies. Moreover, social status and age were the most effective social factors as compared to the others.

مجال هذا البحث هو دراسة أنماط الرطانة الاصطلاحية في مصطلحات النحو العربي قديمه وحديثه، وترجع أهمية هذه الدراسة إلى أنها - فيما يظن الباحث - أول دراسة تطبيقية لهذه الرطانة الاصطلاحية في النحو العربي وخاصة إنها في ضوء علم اللغة الاجتماعي حيث إنها سوف تكشف عن: الرطانة في المصطلح النحوي الكوفي وبعض المصطلح البصري والأندلسي والمصطلح النحوي الحديث (ما جاء به اللغويون المعاصرون). كما أنها سوف تبين أسباب شيوع المصطلح البصري والتمسك به واستدامته طوال هذه القرون والعمل به في المناهج الدراسية في معظم الدول العربية، وأيضا سوف تظهر الدراسة إلى أي مدى تمسك المعاصرون بالمصطلح النحوي الحديث وتحديدا ما جاء به الدكتور تمام حسان في كتابه (اللغة العربية معناها ومبناها). كل هذا الطرح كان حول سؤال محوري واحد وهو: هل توجد رطانة اصطلاحية في المصطلح النحوي؟ وللإجابة عن هذا الطرح قام الباحث بعرض أنماط من المصطلحات النحوية سواء الكوفية أو البصرية أو الأندلسية أو المحدثة على خمسين ومائتي دارس للغة العربية من المعلمين المختصين الذين يمارسون مهنة التدريس في الحقل التعليمي. ومن خلال الإجابات التي تحصل عليها من خمسين ومائتي معلم ومعلمة من جنسيات عربية متنوعة خلص البحث إلى وجود رطانة اصطلاحية في أربعة عشر مصطلحا نحويا كوفيا ومصطلحين بصريين ومصطلح أندلسي وخمسة مصطلحات محدثة. كما خلص البحث إلى وجود اضطراب وهوة كبيرة في وضع المصطلحات النحوية في المناهج الدراسية للمرحلتين الأساسية والمتوسطة نتيجة لوجود العشوائية في وضع دروس النحو، وافتقاد التدرج والتكامل بين المراحل الدراسية؛ كما كشفت الدراسة أيضا أن من أسباب اضطراب المصطلح النحوي اشتراك المصطلح النحوي مع علوم أخر.

Subtitling as a type of audio-visual translation entails competency at technical, linguistic, paralinguistic and cultural levels to render the message of the source text in a target context. Due to digitalization, subtitling breaks down language barriers. It also involves cultural adaptation to ensure that content resonates with the audience. Thus, Target language oriented approach namely pragmatic approach -- originated in sociolinguistics, speech act theory and critical discourse analysis--is used in the current research to subtitle Egyptian drama scenes. The results of the current experimental study, applied on 15 of the English department first year students at the International Higher Institution for Languages and Interpretation, show the shift from literal subtitling in the pre- test to communicative subtitling in the post test due to the use of pragmatic strategies that prioritize the message reflected in different percentages of linguistics and cultural elements according to the subtitled genre (documentary or social work).

The present paper is a qualitative investigation into the use and awareness of euphemism by Algerian adolescents in the Constantine speech community. The paper covers two hypotheses. First, the speech of the Constantine adolescents is thought to lack the use of proper euphemistic language when describing certain cases of personal appearance that might provoke negative connotations and interpretations. Second, those adolescents are unaware of euphemism as a language skill and its importance in social interactions. To examine the aforementioned hypotheses, a survey was administered to Algerian adolescents living in Constantine, Algeria. Socio-cultural linguistics is the model according to which the notion of euphemism will be investigated. The findings suggest that the use of euphemistic expressions were used more than the use of non-euphemistic ones. The findings have also showed that the informants, based on their answers, are not aware of the concept of euphemism and its indispensability.

This study is an attempt to identify the English loanwords in Iraqi Arabic. English is an international language, and due to the political, economic, technological, and media supremacy of the UK and the US during the 20th and the 21st centuries, English has a distinctive role in many languages, including the Iraqi Arabic, especially after the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the internet revolution. Thus, the study aims to identify and collect academically sufficient numbers of these borrowed linguistic items to approach their borrowing from a sociolinguistic and semantic point of view. The collected data is classified based on their relation to certain groups and communities of Iraqi Arabic natives. Furthermore, the study provides explanations of the words' meanings after assimilation, which aids the study of the semantic transformations during the adaptation of the English loanwords' into Iraqi Arabic.

يتناول البحث دراسة لغوية دلالية لعبرية المشنا في ضوء علم اللغة الاجتماعي. تتناول الدراسة مجموعة من المفردات والتراكيب التي رأى فقهاء المشنا في استعمالها شكلا من أشكال عدم التهذب، وعدم احترام السامع. تجنب فقهاء المشنا تلك المفردات والتراكيب تماما واعتبروها محظورات لغوية لا يجوز استعمالها. ووضعوا لها بدائل، تعبر عن المعنى المقصود. وجاء ذلك نتيجة لتأثرهم بأخلاق الحضارة الهلينستية في الأساس، ثم غيرها من الحضارات مثل الحضارة البابلية والساسانية.
