Renewable Energy as a Mediating Variable in the Relationship between Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development in Palestinian Local Authorities
This study primarily aims to explore the correlations between strategic planning practices and the achievement of sustainable development in Palestinian local authorities. To accomplish the study's objectives, a descriptive-correlational approach was employed to examine the relationship and impact between the study variables from the perspectives of members of strategic planning committees in the major governorates of the northern West Bank (Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, Tubas, Salfit, and Qalqilya). The study model was tested using a sample of 262 members, whose responses were collected through an electronic questionnaire. Non-probability (convenience) sampling was used for ease of data collection. The questionnaire served as the research tool, and the data were analyzed using the Smart-PLS4 software. The results revealed a statistically significant correlation between strategic planning and sustainable development, between strategic planning and the orientation toward renewable energy, and between the orientation toward renewable energy and the achievement of sustainable development. The study emphasized the role of renewable energy as an intermediary between strategic planning and sustainable development. These findings highlight the importance of strategic planning focused on sustainability and the transition to renewable energy as key drivers for achieving sustainable development in Palestinian territories.

The Effectiveness of Project-Based Learning on Improving the Undergraduate Students' Speaking Skills through M-Learning
This case study aimed to identify the lessons learned from using m-Learning in project-based learning as a potential to improve the oral skills of EFL students in a Language Use Course at a Palestinian university during the second semester of the academic year 2019/2020. Despite the sudden closure of universities due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers had to evaluate students' oral proficiency in effective use of vocabulary and expressions found in the course, improvising daily life situations, with decent fluency and enjoyment. The participants were 97 (19 males and 78 females) EFL learners majoring English, who were enrolled in the Language Use course. The participants were assigned a project-based task to develop their speaking skill through collaborative projects that were submitted at the end of the course to evaluate their skills and performances. To achieve this objective, a project-based cycle (OMEGA-P) was developed, and semi-structured interviews via Messenger and WhatsApp were also administered with students. Findings showed impressive signs of creative outputs manifested in various skills. The findings also highlighted the effectiveness of using project-based experience as an approach to online 'Discussion Sessions' that provided a flexible and enjoyable learning environment, that enhanced students' self-confidence through active involvement with real communicative situations with other students as well as with the teacher.

Political Islamism in the Face of the Jewish-Christian Crusade
Under the universal Zionist movement, both the United States and Israel are working hand in hand to subjugate the Muslims and put the whole world under the Jews' mercy. The rise of the Muslim resistance in and outside Palestine created distorted narratives that are not to honor Islam, the religion of mercy. The Arab Muslim world is to face up the new world order and the Zionist conspiracy against the Islamic civilization and the Islamic Oumma. This article aims at demonstrating how amidst such a turmoil Islam was tarnished by faulty narratives of violence, assaults and terrorist activities carried by groups the West created to distort the image of Islam. A scrutiny of the historical background of the Middle East, the region the most impacted by such political phenomena, enables highlighting what emanated to nowadays' troubles and created sharp conflicting relations between the states of the region and the great powers. The work is also an attempt to understand what is happening in the Arab World, at the turning of the twenty first century, to cognize how and why people rise, resist and fight for their liberties and sovereignty and in what way the game of nations is in fluencing the stream of events and maps in the Middle East. The work is presented through a Qualitative Data Analysis, an Interpretative Policy Analysis and a Discursive Narrative Analysis. Nutritional and Biochemical Characterization of Date Palm Varieties Growing in Palestine
The date palm possesses substantial social and economic value because of its financial, nutrient, natural, cultural, medical, and religious aspects. It plays an important role in ensuring food availability in the Middle East and North Africa region by giving people nourishing foodstuffs. In Palestine, date palm growth and production have significantly increased subsequently. The objective of this study is to describe the biochemical and dietary composition of Palestinian date fruits. We examined the approximate biochemical profile of the fruit at full maturity for 34 diverse date plant genotypes from Jericho, Palestine. The results showed significant differences between genotypes for most studied biochemical parameters. The element analysis revealed that date palm extract contains several essential elements, such as calcium, potassium, and iron, the contents were 1636 mg, 1.5 mg, and 4.9 mg for 100 g of dry mass respectively. Ash and fiber substances were 2.92 g and 4.01g respectively. Moisture, acidity, and total solid contents were 24.78%, 0.23%, and 59.34% respectively.
