\"Even if Al Wefaq participates along with other groups, the opposition will represent close to 100 people with the support of other individuals.\" He admitted some Al Wefaq members wanted to participate in the dialogue, but said the organization would only enter if His Royal Highness Prince [Shaikh Ali Salman] bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, was involved. \"We need to find our own solutions and come up with a model that is accepted by all citizens,\" said Shaikh Salman, although his organization now looks unlikely to be a part of historic talks that will map out Bahrain's future.

Bahraini authorities interrogate Al-Wifaq's Salman after visit to Egypt

The Supreme Council of the Egyptian Revolution urged Bahraini authorities to ban him and other Al Wifaq National Islamic Society leaders from travelling to Egypt, describing them as \"pro-Iranian agents\" who were a \"threat to the country's unity\". Its general coordinator Dr Ehab Ammar labelled Al Wefaq's movements in Egypt as \"suspicious\" and said the organization threatened Egypt's national unity. He urged authorities to clamp down on Al Wefaq's political activities in Egypt and called for the expulsion of all Bahrainis working for the society. \"He was also asked what he meant by 'revolution' when he talked to Egypt ian media. Other questions related to Al Wefaq's stand on violence, the opposition's views about the events happening in Egypt and the Egyptian political parties' stance.

Sultan Qaboos praises success of referendum

Manama - The Deputy Amir, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received the Omani Interior Minister, Ali bin Hmoud Al Busaidi, and his accompanying delegation in the presence of the Minister of Transport and Acting Interior Minister, Shaikh Ali bin khalifa Al Khalifa. The Omani Minister conveyed the greetings of HM Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman to HH the Amir, Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and to the people of Bahrain on the occasion of the success of the referendum on the national action charter, and his majesty's wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain.

Batelco Reinstates Pardoned Employees

The Batelco management is currently rehabilitating its returning staff whose jobs have been cancelled or occupied by others. It has been decided that the date of the previous term of service will be connected to the date of new joining, to safeguard their gains related to the social insurance. The company has also covered their insurance during the period of discontinuation from work. The meeting was attended by the Acting Chief Executive of Batelco, Antony Hart, the Senior Manager of Human Resources, Shaikh Ahmed [Salman Al Khalifa], and the head of workers' representatives at the joint committee in the company, Saeed Al Samak.

Present was the UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Crown Prince and Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received at his residence in Abu Dhabi the UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and reviewed the distinguished brotherly relations between Bahrain and the UAE, and their future, under the directives of the wise leadership of both countries and their keenness to support cooperation and brotherly ties to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.

2 million Pilgrims Set Camp on Mount Arafat

The authorities will distribute 10 million bottles of mineral water and one million free meals to the pilgrims over the next two days.
