'Mystery guest' fools Miss. community

Charges dropped in ricin letter case; new home searched
On Monday, an FBI agent said federal authorities didn't find any ricin in [Curtis]' Corinth, Miss., home or vehicle. [Christi McCoy], said the search results bolstered Curtis' claims of innocence. \"I have heard conflicting reports on if there was a search warrant or if he signed a consent, which means they wouldn't have had to have a search warrant,\" she said. \"So I'm unaware if there was a search warrant or if he just agreed.\" A 2007 photo posted on [J. Everett Dutschke]'s MySpace page shows the former politician posing with Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker in several photos, including one in which Wicker presented an award to Dutschke. Wicker received one of the ricin-laced letters last week.

The Jackson City Council was in the process of naming Biloxi Street in Logan's honor, Council President Frank Bluntson said.Logan \"was just a very lovely lady,\" Bluntson said. \"She always had a smile. She was respected by all of the people of Jackson who knew her.\" [Shirley Montague]'s son-in-law, Philip Massey, called Logan \"a woman of distinction.\"Logan and husband Styles Logan, who is deceased, had four children. \"There was nothing she wouldn't do for you, and it didn't matter if you were black or white,\" Montague said. \"She was a giving person.\"

Miss. church apologizes for blocking black wedding
Te'Andrea Wilson's family attends the church because of a friendship they formed with [Stan Weatherford]'s family when he began helping her brother learn to play baseball. The wedding was moved to a nearby church, though Weatherford still conducted the ceremony. He said he was trying to find a \"win-win,\" because he didn't want controversy to spoil the couple's special day. \"I'm not saying we're not sinners,\" said [Charles Wilson]. \"We're all sinners. We're born in sin,\" he said. \"But you're not born to hate. No child is born to hate. You have to be taught to hate. When you say come to the church, are the same people that put us out of church still there? How have they changed?\"
