Beitrag Zur Exakten Füllungssteuerung Am Aufgeladenen Ottomotor
How to tune and modify automotive engine management systems
\"Understanding fuel injection and engine management systems is the key to extracting higher performance from today's automobiles in a safe, reliable, and driveable fashion. Turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous oxide, high compression ratios, radical camshafts: all are known to make horsepower, but without proper understanding and control of fuel injection and other electronic engine management systems, these popular power-adders will never live up to their potential and, at worst, can cause expensive engine damage. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and experience and a background of more than 1,000 magazine articles on the subject, engine-control expert Jeff Hartman explains everything from the basics of fuel injection to the building of complex project cars. Hartman covers the latest developments in fuel-injection and engine management technology applied by both foreign and domestic manufacturers, including popular aftermarket systems. No other book in the market covers the subject of engine management systems from as many angles and as comprehensively as this book. Through his continuous magazine writing, author Jeff Hartman is always up-to-date with the newest fuel-injection and engine management products and systems. \"-- Provided by publisher.
Development of Sensor for the Real-time Monitoring of Brake Pad Wear and Brake Disc Temperature in High Temperature
As the technology for high-performance automobiles is developing rapidly together with the significant growth of the automobile industry in modern society, customer demand for automobile safety is increasing accordingly, and thus the development of safety products is gaining momentum. The brake system is indispensable for safe driving of the automobile, and malfunction or disorder of the brake system can lead to serious accident, resulting in injury or death. Meanwhile, if the brake system can be monitored on a real-time basis, such monitoring system can notify drivers of dangerous circumstance, like excessive wear of brake pad, or overheating of brake disc. However, in the case of high-performance/oversize automobiles, frequent or sudden braking during summer causes disc temperature to rise above 600 °C, which affects the useful life of the sensor. In contrast, there has not yet been a breakthrough for the sensor that can be used in a condition that exceeds 600 °C. Based on the heat transfer theory, we have developed the sensor in this study that normally works under the temperature exceeding 600 °C and verified that the sensor works normally under the temperature of ≥825 °C.
ASSESSING PERFORMANCE OF AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY USING MALMQUIST PRODUCTIVITY INDEX WITH R
The aim of this study is to measure the performance of the top ten automobile manufacturers for the years 2011 to 2016. After evaluating the data from annual reports, only six manufacturers meet the requirements. The Malmquist productivity index (MPI) is used as the measurement of performance. The MPI consists of two elements: the technical efficiency change index (TECI) and the technological change index (TCI). The 'productivity' package in the open-source programming language known as 'R' is used to estimate the MPI, TCI, and TECI with input and output orientations. The results suggest that the productivity of the automobile industry increased during the period under evaluation. The average productivity scores for the top three manufacturers are as follows: Toyota (1.4844), Volkswagen (1.3382), and Mercedes-Benz (1.4444). However, there are still some industries whose productivity score is less than 1: Ford (0.9846), Honda (0.9925), and Nissan (0.9999). The newness of this study stems from the use of MPI in the global automobile industry, using R language, an open-source application for processing data.
1 of 1 muscle cars : stories of Detroit's rarest iron
\"In the world of muscle cars, many were produced and sold in large enough quantities that they would be considered special but not particularly rare at the time of production. The Boss 429 and Plymouth Superbird were produced for racing homologation reasons, and since they were very expensive to produce, the manufacturers ensured that they would be rare. However, there is rare, and then there is rare. Prototypes and special factory builds, factory production cars, and super car tuners and builders are all covered in this new book by muscle-car historian Wes Eisenschenk. Some are single examples, some are very close to being the last remaining example, and all are extremely rare. Some have no surviving example known to exist. Featured cars include a Boss 429 Cougar, a 1971 Pontiac Ventura II Sprint 455, a 1965 Chevelle 300 COPO car with the L78 option, and a 1970 FK5 Deep Burnt Orange Metallic Superbird. Dealer promotional specials include a 1968 AMC AMX Von Piranha, a 1970 Dick Harrell LS6 454 Camaro, and a 1973 Nickey Chevrolet 427 Nova. These are cars that you will read about but likely never see. For a fun ride through muscle-car history and great stories of the rarest muscle cars ever produced, add this book to your automotive library today.\"-- Page 4 of cover.
Interaction between attribute importance and user satisfaction on the promotion of public transport
Latin American countries have common characteristics: increase in automobile use, and decrease in the interest of users for public transport by bus caused by unsustainable urban mobility. Of these, users’ interest in public transport by bus has the most significant potential for sustainable transport changes. Therefore, this paper aimed to understand how the interaction between the importance and satisfaction of users to transport attributes can help promote the increase in the passengers’ transport demand in medium-sized cities of developing countries. The interaction between the users’ stated importance and the users’ satisfaction for automobile and public transport by bus was analyzed regarding attributes of safety, comfort, transport costs, and travel time. The study was performed in the city of Barreiras, state of Bahia, Brazil. Likert scale data analysis used three approaches that set unique importance and satisfaction ratings employed on the graphic tool Importance-Performance Analysis. It was concluded that interaction between the data of importance and satisfaction is effective, reliable, and allows the comparative analysis between the transport attributes, enabling the prioritization of strategies that help the promotion of passenger transport.
