El emprendimiento femenino y el bienestar familiar en México
El objetivo de este artículo es aportar al espíritu empresarial familiar y al estudio de género, a través del enfoque en el bienestar que logra la mujer al desempeñar una actividad económica independiente. La muestra de 3,156 mujeres empresarias fue no probabilística; los datos fueron tomados de la Encuesta Nacional de Ingresos y Gastos en el Hogar, y analizados mediante el método de Heckman (Heckit) y regresiones cuantílicas. Los principales hallazgos indican que las mujeres y jefas de hogar requieren casi tres veces más de esfuerzo para cubrir sus gastos familiares en comparación con el género opuesto. Un poco más del 70 % del total de gasto familiar se destina a alimentación, seguido de vivienda y transporte, lo cual es una razón aspiracional vigorizante del emprendimiento femenino por necesidad. Existe una pobre orientación hacia el uso/valor de la educación por la mujer, que explica posiblemente la diferencia en los niveles de bienestar entre ambos géneros. The purpose of this article is to contribute to the study of family entrepreneurship and gender by focusing on the well-being of women who engage in independent economic activity. The sample of 3,156 female entrepreneurs was non-probabilistic, the data were taken from the National Survey of Income and Expenditure in the Home, analyzed using the Heckman method (Heckit) and quantile regressions. Among the main findings, we can see that women and heads of households have to work almost three times harder to cover their family expenses than the opposite gender. Slightly more than 70% of the total family expenditure is on food, followed by housing and transportation, which is an aspirational reason that stimulates female entrepreneurship out of necessity. There is a lack of orientation on the use/value of education by women, which may explain the difference in the level of well-being between the two sexes.

En esta propuesta se revisarán de forma panorámica sus prácticas editoriales y sus estrategias transnacionales; es decir, la red de relaciones que estableció entre autores, editores, libreros y comisionistas de Francia e Iberoamérica para consolidar una de las librerías españolas más notables de París. However, her effervescent activity in the world of books as a bookseller, editor and businesswoman demands her name to be restored to the pantheon of editors and cultural mediators of the contemporary age. This proposal will review her editorial practices and transnational strategies in a panoramic way, that is, the network of relationships she established between authors, publishers, booksellers and commission agents from France and Latin America to consolidate one of the most remarkable Spanish bookstores in Paris. Hetty Green, aka the ‘Witch of Wall Street', was an American businesswoman, and the first female tycoon to make a significant impact in the world of finance. Born into a wealthy Quaker family in Massachusetts, by the age of six Green was reading the financial press daily and by the age of 13 she became the family bookkeeper. In one of the earliest modern examples of a pre‐nuptial agreement, in 1867 Green made her fiancé sign a document renouncing all rights to her money before their marriage. Following their marriage, Green and her husband emigrated to London, taking up residence at the Langham Hotel. When her son, Ned, broke his leg, Green tried to admit him to a free clinic for the poor, before being recognized and reluctantly being forced to pay the medical bill.
