E-Brainstorming Engenders Synergy Based on Ontology
The E-brainstorming system involves piggy bagging of ideas which results in more idea generation by the agents.Triggering of an idea for one participants happens from another participants, which will help the participants with the new idea. But with ordinary search and retrieval methods only few ideas are generated when compared with E-brainstorming method. More agents' participation in E-brainstorming results in more ideas generation. The effect of combined participation of two or more agents is more than the sum of the effect of individual agents. The main goal of the project is to build an E-Brainstorming system where the agents represent the session participants and to build a idea evaluation system which is not domain specific. The E-brainstorming system is built so that it can be used both by the facilitator and the ordinary user who don't have knowledge about the domain. The input idea given to the system is a sentence and the system solves the problem of input idea being a simple keyword or term.

Ideation in the digital age: literature review and integrative model for electronic brainstorming
Various brainstorming techniques have been proposed to facilitate and enhance creativity during idea generation (ideation) sessions. A review of previous studies on brainstorming has been conducted, focusing on electronic brainstorming (EBS) as a seemingly suitable and prevalent platform in the twenty-first century. Based on the review, we propose an integrative model for EBS sessions, which includes guidelines and suggested improvements. Insights gained from this review can be used to guide decision-makers and managers in organizations on how to conduct EBS sessions efficiently and effectively. Additionally, this review maps existing research on EBS and outlines lacunas and gaps future research should investigate.
The PRECIS-2 tool: designing trials that are fit for purpose
PRECIS is a tool to help trialists make design decisions consistent with the intended purpose of their trial. This paper gives guidance on how to use an improved, validated version, PRECIS-2, which has been developed with the help of over 80 international trialists, clinicians, and policymakers. Keeping the original simple wheel format, PRECIS-2 has nine domains—eligibility criteria, recruitment, setting, organisation, flexibility (delivery), flexibility (adherence), follow-up, primary outcome, and primary analysis—scored from 1 (very explanatory) to 5 (very pragmatic) to facilitate domain discussion and consensus. It is hoped PRECIS-2 will be valuable in supporting the explicit matching of design decisions to how the trial results are intended to be used
What Artificial Intelligence Means to Us – Students’ Insights
This study explores students' perspectives on advancing Higher Education to equip them better not only for the evolving demands of the 21st-century labour market, but also for the societal challenges posed by the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). A total of fifty students from various European universities provided insights into the role of AI in education, articulating their views on AI potential, its ethical application within academic institutions and the necessity for caution due to a general lack of awareness regarding its potential risks. Employing a brainstorming technique to stimulate discussions and to expand responses, the study involved five groups of ten students each, with a facilitator guiding the discourse to foster a structured exchange of ideas on AI's educational applications. The findings align with contemporary research in the field: students emphasize the potential AI offers in education, the importance of familiarization with AI use, and the risks associated with the implementation of AI in Higher Education (HE) institutions. This study contributes to a better understanding of how the rapidly evolving technological landscape influences Higher Education, shaping the experiences and preparedness of future graduates.
Beyond Brainstorming: Exploring Convergence in Teams
Collaborative brainstorming is often followed by a convergence activity where teams extract the most promising ideas on a useful level of detail from the brainstorming results. Contrary to the wealth of research on electronic brainstorming, there is a dearth of research on convergence. We used experimental methods for an in-depth exploration of two facilitation-based interventions in a convergence activity: attention guidance (focusing participants on procedures to execute a convergence task) and discussion encouragement (engaging participants in conversations to combine knowledge on ideas). Our findings show that both attention guidance and discussion encouragement are correlated with higher convergence quality. We argue that attention guidance's contribution is in its support of coordination, information processing, and goal specification. Similar, we argue that discussion encouragement's contribution is in its stimulation of idea clarification and idea combination. Contrary to past research, our findings further show that satisfaction was higher after convergence than after brainstorming.
