Fast forward: Storylines to watch in Texas
Usual suspects: JTG Daugherty's AJ Allmendinger continued a season of growth -- he's 12th in points - with an inspired second-place finish at Martinsville. Ganassi Racing's Kyle Larson was third, his best result since finishing seventh in the season-opening Daytona 500. Nice stories from the non-juggernaut class. Don't expect many such surprises this weekend when the series returns to the grist of the schedule, where power teams like Hendrick Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske leverage mighty budgets and resources to find speed and performance.
