The [Roselle] village board approved a pilot study Tuesday at a cost of $45,000. Aquarius Technologies will install a self- contained mini treatment plant that will be operated at the Roselle's Devlin Plant for the trial period of 90 days. During that time, the new process will be evaluated by Roselle staff, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Aquarius Technologies.

The rest of the village's street improvement project includes resurfacing Red Maple Avenue, Hemlock Lane, Shagbark Lane, Brentwood Court, Winterwood Drive, Clearwater Drive, Fall Circle, Catalpa Avenue, Locust Lane, Howard Street, Main Street, Terry Court, Terry Drive and Morningside Drive. Resurfacing could begin sometime next month.

Residents can request new curbs, sidewalks

\"We're trying to encourage people to repair sidewalks in front of their homes that are in need of repair and potentially hazardous,\" Director of Public Works Rob Burns said. Burns said the village is lenient in determining which sidewalks qualify, but that it has rejected a few requests in the past. That generally includes sidewalks that have had very minor marks on them and did not qualify as hazardous.
