The forecasting of bus passenger flow is important to the bus transit system’s operation. Because of the complicated structure of the bus operation system, it’s difficult to explain how passengers travel along different routes. Due to the huge number of passengers at the bus stop, bus delays, and irregularity, people are experiencing difficulties of using buses nowadays. It is important to determine the passenger flow in each station, and the transportation department may utilize this information to schedule buses for each region. In Our proposed system we are using an approach called the deep learning method with long short-term memory, recurrent neural network, and greedy layer-wise algorithm are used to predict the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) passenger flow. In the dataset, some of the parameters are considered for prediction are bus id, bus type, source, destination, passenger count, slot number, and revenue These parameters are processed in a greedy layer-wise algorithm to make it has cluster data into regions after cluster data move to the long short-term memory model to remove redundant data in the obtained data and recurrent neural network it gives the prediction result based on the iteration factors of the data. These algorithms are more accurate in predicting bus passengers. This technique handles the problem of passenger flow forecasting in Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation Bus Rapid Transit (KSRTCBRT) transportation, and the framework provides resource planning and revenue estimation predictions for the KSRTCBRT.

Recent interests in transit services have captured attention of experts on the monitoring of public transport quality. Previous research focused on relevant models and methods to monitor the quality of transit services and showed where and when different service quality levels occur. However, there was little attention to detect objectively a pool of key quality indicators (KQI) to be monitored, from a large set. This paper covers this gap by the proposal of an integrated approach, which identifies a long list of KQI, defines their properties, involves experts to elicit judgments for each KQI, evaluates the long list, and points out the most promising set. This integrated approach is demonstrated with an application based on an international survey and a Monte Carlo simulation method. Moreover, a restricted and relevant set of 9 overlapping KQI is derived by linking these results with those obtained from two different approaches.

Logistics in urban areas are currently suffering a radical transformation due to increasing population concentration and the massive use of cars as the preferred transport mode. These issues have resulted in higher pollution levels in urban environments and traffic congestion, impacting the world globally. Facilitating the use of sustainable transport modes is widely regarded as a necessity to cope with these adverse effects on citizens’ life quality. Hence, some regions, such as the European Union, are encouraging bus transport firms to make their business models more environmentally and socially sustainable. The aim of this research is thus to explore how technological innovations adopted by urban bus companies can improve cities’ sustainability. With this in mind, a combined Importance Performance Analysis (IPA)–Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was applied. In this way, their environmental and social sustainability effects were separately represented through hierarchical structures. Subsequently, the importance and performance ratings of technological innovations in each sustainability dimension were estimated, and thus two IPA grids were generated. These grids support managers in the establishment of more effective action plans to improve logistics sustainability in cities. The findings also provide guidance to governments on the technological innovations that should be promoted in future urban mobility plans.

This essay combines an ecological perspective with a mobility justice theoretical framework to reconceptualize the relationship between school transportation and educational access. Authors Sarah Winchell Lenhoff, Jeremy Singer, Kimberly Stokes, James Bear Mahowald, and Sahar Khawaja document the problem of \"getting to school\" that is at the intersection of students' family, community, and social contexts and how it goes beyond whether there is a reliable mode of physical transportation. Bringing together a historical analysis of the policy landscape and interview data from parents and students in Detroit, they find that school transportation problems reflect the unequal political, social, and economic context in which families navigate enrollment and attendance. They discuss how policy makers can advance mobility justice in school policy by equitably distributing transportation resources, engaging students and parents as experts in developing and communicating transportation policy, and using institutional power to remedy structural barriers to educational access.
