It includes sample Story Maps, templates, practical success stories, and more. You′ll discover how to go beyond PowerPoint slides to create presentations that influence your peers and effect change. Explains the secrets of making presentations and effecting change using CAST to create Story Maps and from there, high–impact and visual presentations that tell a story Covers how to apply a range of techniques and what the results look like, using screenshots of presentations, one page hand outs, and basic delivery with whiteboards Coauthored by Microsoft experts and a visual design guru who have years of experience training professionals in these methods Includes sample Story Maps, templates, practical success stories, and more  Learn how to sell your ideas and trigger change in your company with Stories That Move Mountains: Storytelling and Visual Design for Persuasive Presentations.
Storytelling with data
Don't simply show your data--tell a story with it!Storytelling with Data teaches you the fundamentals of data visualization and how to communicate effectively with data. You'll discover the power of storytelling and the way to make data a pivotal point in your story.
Thriving in a Data World
This book focuses on the foundations needed to be successful in managing and engaging with data analytics initiatives, bridging the gap between creators and users of data. Currently, every company, no matter its size, is data-driven in one way or another; using data to improve customer experience, as a new value stream, and to stay competitive. However, many business leaders, professionals, and students —such as executives, business analysts, UI/UX designers, project managers and marketing teams —are forced to interact with data and those who generate data, without being taught the general competencies needed to feel comfortable having these conversations. This book focuses on the foundations needed to be successful in managing and engaging with data analytics initiatives, bridging the gap between creators and users of data. As a management reference guide, it discusses the different types of data strategy needed for succeeding with data, covering topics such as data team composition, types of data analytics, the importance of data storytelling, and identifying data ROI. Framed by the author's personal story, the trove of information is made tangible through the compelling narrative with its unprecedented accessibility and readability for a non-technical audience. If you suffer from fear of data, anxiety around conversations with technical teams, this practical approach book can help with actions you can start implementing right away.

OP133 COVIDIAGNOSTIX: Health Technology Assessment For COVID-19 Serological Tests As Companion Diagnostics To Vaccination
IntroductionIn scenarios of vaccine scarcity or the context of organizational complexity, it is necessary to define prioritization strategies for allocating vaccine in compliance with the criteria of equity and efficiency of health resources. The COVIDIAGNOSTIX project, based on health technology assessment (HTA), assessed the role of SARS-CoV-2 serological tests as a companion diagnostic in the definition of strategies for vaccine administration. To guarantee evidence support for health policy choices, two different strategies were analyzed: one based on administering the vaccine booster dose to the entire population (VACCINE strategy) and the other based on allocation criteria (TEST&VACCINE strategy).MethodsAn Italian multidisciplinary team conducted a decision-oriented HTA using a combination of the EUnetHTA Core Model and the multicriteria decision analysis model based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Moreover, the Department of HTA method was integrated with the Susceptible-Exposed-Infectious-Recovered model, appropriate modelling techniques, simulation, and quantification of uncertainty that considered the ability to reduce deaths and to contain the pandemic. After identifying the evaluation elements and the decision-making structure, the weights of the evaluation areas and key performance indicators were calculated. This is a constituent part of the mathematical model of data processing, as the Analytic Hierarchy Process was based on a structured questionnaire that compared the relative importance of the two elements on a qualitative scale (1=equal importance; 9=more important).ResultsThe processing of the scores attributed to the key performance indicators concerning all the evaluation domains resulted in a performance of 94 percent for the TEST&VACCINE strategy and 84 percent for the VACCINE strategy. The TEST&VACCINE strategy was the most advantageous in various scenarios due to the greater speed of response from an operational and economic point of view.ConclusionsThe assessment schemes defined by COVIDIAGNOSTIX (i.e., technologies, intended use, and settings), which highlight the characteristics that differentiate the tests from each other and guarantee a timely and appropriate evaluation, can be adapted to respond to similar health policy management situations.
The Immaculate Conception of Data

The Immaculate Conception of Data explores the secretive legal agreements surrounding agricultural big data to trace how it is used and with what consequences.
From brick-and-mortar to livestream shopping: product information acquisition from the uncertainty reduction perspective
This study investigates how livestream fashion shopping is associated with brick-and-mortar shopping, focusing on product uncertainty, and examines livestreaming’s role in reducing product uncertainty and promoting consumers’ purchase intention by adopting the Uncertainty reduction theory (URT). The study identifies the three product information sources (i.e., product demonstration, interaction with the seller, and other viewers’ reviews) that consumers use in livestream shopping via uncertainty-reducing strategies. PLS results (n = 292) indicate that consumers who rely on salespeople’s assistance as a product information source in brick-and-mortar shopping showed a positive perception of the two product information sources—interaction with the seller and other viewers’ reviews—in livestream shopping. The seller’s product demonstration played a significant role in reducing product uncertainty and subsequently affected purchase intention, while the other two information sources (i.e., interaction with the seller and other viewers’ reviews) affected the purchase intention directly. The findings extend the URT to improve our understanding of consumer information attainment in the livestream shopping context and exemplify a promising future for livestream fashion shopping by investigating its features that can potentially substitute for the brick-and-mortar shopping experience. Future studies can include motivational factors (i.e., service and/or technical barriers) in the model.
Landscape presentation formats influence consumer’s preferences for origin and botanical variety of Spanish honey
Context and presentation format influence behaviour and information processing. This study investigates how presenting the honey production landscape through different formats (i.e. pictures, 2D video, and immersive 3D video) affects consumer preferences and willingness to pay (WTP) for honey. A hypothetical choice experiment shows that presenting the landscape before the choice task considerably impacts WTP estimates for the geographical origin and botanical variety attributes of honey. Additionally, significant differences emerge across presentation formats, indicating that the immersive 3D video creates more pronounced variations in WTP based on the geographical origin of honey. Methodologically, our study contributes to the literature by utilising a 360°-virtual reality video, thus enhancing the realism of the experiment. Empirically, we explore how landscape visuals influence the consumer choices of honey, potentially increasing WTP for geographically sourced honey.
BIM design : realising the creative potential of building information modelling
Building information modelling (BIM) is revolutionising building design and construction. For architects, BIM has the potential to optimise their creativity while reducing risk in the design and construction process, thus giving them a more significant role in the building process. This book demonstrates how innovative firms are using BIM technologies to move design away from the utilitarian problems of construction, engaging them in a stunning new future in the built environment. Whereas recent books about BIM have tended to favour case-study analyses or instruction on the use of specific software, BIM Design highlights how day-to-day design operations are shaped by the increasingly generative and collaborative aspects of these new tools. BIM strategies are described as operations that can enhance design rather than simply make it more efficient. Thus this book focuses on the specific creative uses of information modelling at the operational level, including the creative development of parametric geometries and generative design, the evaluation of environmental performance and the simulation and scheduling of construction/fabrication operations. This book also engages BIM's pragmatic efficiencies such as the conflict checking of building systems and the creation of bills of quantities for costing; and in so doing it demonstrates how BIM can make such activities collaborative. Throughout, projects are used to illustrate the creative application of BIM at a variety of scales. These buildings showcase work by fi rms executing projects all over the world: SHoP Architects and Construction (New York), Morphosis (Los Angeles), Populous (London), GRO Architects (New York), Reiser + Umemoto (New York), Gensler (Shanghai) and UNStudio (Amsterdam).
