Russia offers Iran anti-aircraft missile deal: Defences could thwart any air strikes on nuclear sites: US and Israel could raise pressure for military action
\"As far as Iran is concerned, we offered Antey-2500 instead of S-300. They are thinking. No decision has been made yet,\" [Sergei Chemezov] said, according to Tass. \"I don't conceal it, and everyone understands this, the more conflicts there are, the more they buy off weapon from us. Volumes are continuing to grow despite sanctions. Mainly, it's Latin America and the Middle East.\" The negotiations are aimed at finding a formula by which Iran accepts curbs on its nuclear programme - particularly uranium enrichment - for a certain number of years, in return for sanctions relief. [John Kerry] and [Mohammad Javad Zarif] were joined in Geneva for the first time by the head of the Iranian atomic energy organisation, Ali Akbar Salehi, and the US energy secretary, Ernest Moniz, in a development which negotiators described as necessary to confront the complex technical issues at the heart of the talks. Hossein Fereydoun, the brother of Iran's president, Hassan Rouhani, also took part in the latest discussions. Ali Vaez, senior Iran analyst at the International Crisis Group, said: \"It appears that the final touches to a mutually acceptable formula for curtailing Iran's enrichment capacity were added by Iranian and American nuclear chiefs. What remains is a similar solution for untangling the intricate spider web of sanctions.\"

Belarus leader says not in talks on setting up joint motor holding with Russia
\"Dmitry Anatolyevich rightly pointed out that we shouldn't butt in on the talks at a high level,\" Mr. [Lukashenka] said. \"Let MAZ and KamAZ talk and put forward specific proposals. If they agree, so be it, it's our royal matter, as they say in Russia, to sanctify this.\" Mr. Lukashenka warned on June 14 that the Belarusian government would not agree to a link-up between MAZ and KamAZ unless Belarus had a 50-percent stake in the holding company. \"But a fifty-fifty arrangement does not suit the leadership of that corporation [Rostekhnologii],\" the Belarusian leader said. \"They want a majority stake and say that Belarus is asking too high a price. Okay, if the price is too high, then don`t agree [to it]. Let's work today. MAZ trucks are by no means worse than KamAZ trucks and customers are buying them with pleasure, and not only in post-Soviet countries but also in Russia.\" Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich claimed at a news conference in mid-September that Russia did not object to Rosbelavto being owned on a parity basis. At the same time he noted that Russia was concerned about possible difficulties in managing a fifty-fifty owned company. \"Fifty-fifty ownership can lead to a deadlock in decision-making,\" he said. \"Therefore, we'll discuss, among other things, the mechanisms that would allow us to make decisions that would not impede the production process and marketing activities.\"

In all other cases the commission, as a rule, does not exceed 5%. Our commission amounts to 1-2%, when the arms are supplied from the Defense Ministry's stock. In this case, we do not aim at taking high profits. We just cover our expenses on selling arms that the Defense Ministry does not need,\" he said.
Rosoboronexport Top Official Says Company's Major Task Is to Conquer New Markets
[Sergei Chemezov] said he expected that Russia could count on boosting arms exports to Arab countries and Africa. \"That is the prospect we should work for. But, of course, we should not forget Latin America. Unfortunately, Latin American sales are now slightly lagging behind, although the predecessor team, which worked for Rosvooruzheniye, took active measures to boost sales in that market. I think one of our major goals is to achieve serious changes in that sector.\"
