2019
This chapter introduces the tools and techniques available to help identify, correct, and prevent errors. Making a change in a worksheet—even a relatively minor change—may produce a ripple effect that introduces errors in other cells. If the user has formulas or use procedures that rely on comparing text, be careful that the text doesn't contain additional space characters. Excel includes a number of tools that can help to track down formula errors. The Go to Special dialog box is a handy tool that enables to locate cells of a particular type. Some people may find it helpful to take advantage of the Excel automatic error‐checking feature. This feature is enabled or disabled via the Enable Background Error Checking check box, found on the Formulas tab of the Excel Options dialog box. AutoCorrect is a handy feature that automatically corrects common typing mistakes.

2023
This study aimed to assess the impact of the color and font size of a dialogue box on an online physician–patient interaction page on patients’ perceptions of the physician’s authority and their willingness to schedule an offline appointment. A 2 × 2 between-group experiment was conducted to compare the effects of two dialogue box colors (gold vs. grey) and two font sizes (large vs. regular) on patients’ perceptions. The results showed that a larger font size had a significant positive impact on patients’ perceptions of the physician’s authority, and the use of a gold-colored dialogue box also had a significant positive effect. A significant interaction was found between the dialogue box color and font size and patients’ perceptions of the physician’s authority. In addition, it was found that positive perceptions of the physician’s authority significantly affected patients’ willingness to schedule offline appointments and played a fully mediating role in the path of page design affecting offline appointment intentions. This study provides evidence that the design elements of a dialogue box—particularly, its color and font size—can influence patients’ perceptions of a physician’s authority and their willingness to schedule an offline appointment. These findings suggest that modifying the page design could improve the effectiveness of physician–patient communication.

2017
This chapter is all about the many ways users can customize the Windows desktop, Start menu, and taskbar to set up their screen in a way that works for them. It shows users how to use the personalization options to fine‐tune the look and feel of Windows 10 on their screen. ClearType is a technology that makes fonts look clearer and smoother on a display. Windows 10 supports ClearType and the use of multiple monitors in a variety of configurations. Adding a second monitor is a simple matter of connecting to the external monitor and turning it on. If the display supports Extended Display Identification Data (EDID), Windows detects it and adjusts the resolution automatically. Windows 10 offers several ways to change how the keyboard works. Some are in the Keyboard Properties dialog box. Others are accessibility features and are set using the Ease of Access Center in the Control Panel.

Computer Aided Design for PDC Die
2011
The polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) is the key component of the diamond bit used in oil drilling. PDC is manufactured by die-cast molding process. The PDC die withstand 1500 degree and 6000 MPa, the designing process is very complex, it is necessary to develop a CAD software for PDC Die, it can improve design efficiency and accuracy. The software has been developed and used in Kingdream Corp. of China for many years.

Creating UserForms
2019
Excel, like most Windows programs, uses dialog boxes to obtain information, clarify commands, and display messages. Users can create their own dialog boxes that work very much like those that are built in to Excel. These dialog boxes are known as UserForms. Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) includes two functions (InputBox and MsgBox) that enable a user to display simple dialog boxes without having to create a UserForm in the VBE. The user can customize these dialog boxes in some ways, but they certainly don't offer the number of options that are available in a UserForm. This chapter provides list of the general steps to create a UserForm. The user can create custom commands that display dialog boxes that look exactly like those that Excel uses. The chapter contains some additional information to help the user to develop custom dialog boxes that work like those that are built in to Excel.

external reference formula
2019
This chapter discusses two procedures for using data from other workbooks or worksheets: linking and consolidating. Linking workbooks can be helpful if user need to consolidate different files. Linking also is useful as a way to break up a large workbook into smaller files. The user can create smaller workbooks that are linked with a few key external references. Pasting links provides a way to create external reference formulas. This method is applicable when the user wants to create formulas that simply reference other cells rather than use links as part of a larger formula. Excel enables to create link formulas to unsaved workbooks. The user can consolidate data from the following: open workbooks, closed workbooks, and the same workbook in which user is creating the consolidation. A method of consolidating information is to use the Paste Special dialog box.
