Let's consider the history and character of Arlington Heights and resist the temptation to prey upon people's weaknesses to support the common good. To the editor: On May 6th, volunteers from the Arlington Heights fire and police departments kicked off Salute Inc.'s Heroes Helping Heroes (H3) initiative, where police and fire personnel volunteer several hours collecting funds for injured or affected military personnel and their families at several intersections here in Arlington Heights. To the editor: I am not a gambler nor am I connected to the village of Arlington Heights. My concern is that I think it's high time we take care of a neighbor that's been good to us, and that is Arlington Park racetrack.
