PyTorch recipes : a problem-solution approach
\"Get up to speed with the deep learning concepts of Pytorch using a problem-solution approach. Starting with an introduction to PyTorch, you'll get familiarized with tensors, a type of data structure used to calculate arithmetic operations and also learn how they operate. You will then take a look at probability distributions using PyTorch and get acquainted with its concepts. Further you will dive into transformations and graph computations with PyTorch. Along the way you will take a look at common issues faced with neural network implementation and tensor differentation, and get the best solutions for them. Moving on to algorithms; you will learn how PyTorch works with supervised and unsupervised algorithms. You will see how convolutional neural networks, deep neural networks, and recurrent neural networks work using PyTorch. In conclusion you will get acquainted with natural language processing and text processing using PyTorch.\"--Provided by publisher
Evaluation of shielded metal arc welding learning in vocational high school
This study aims to determine the level of planning, implementation, and assessment of learning outcomes in the XI class of shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) techniques at the state vocational high school 1 Sedayu, Bantul Regency. This type of research is a descriptive study with a survey method. Data collection using a questionnaire. The study population was 90 students of class XI state vocational high school 1 Sedayu. The sample was taken the same as the population. Data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used a quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the data analysis results, the planning category is medium, with a mean of 29.48. The implementation is a very high category with a mean of 49.60, the assessment of learning outcomes categorized as high with a mean of 10.68. The results showed that the evaluation SMAW technical learning was in the high category. Results also showed that the level of evaluation of the SMAW technique learning on planning is in the medium category and the evaluation of the implementation of the SMAW technique learning was in the very high category.
Econometric modeling of economic factors's impact on the labor force per capita
In this article, we study the impact of a number of economic factors on the number of workers per capita. We use the panel data analysis method. We found that the best model is the one with fixed effects. We have identified the factors that have the most significant impact on the explanatory variable. The number of vacancies per capita, the capacity of outpatient clinics and the number of university students per capita have a positive statistically significant effect on the labor force per capita. The capital-labor ratio, the population per doctor and the total living space per inhabitant on average have a negative statistical effect on the labor force per capita. The values of individual effects of the regions were positive.
Problem solving learning model using video application
Lecturer play an important role in the process of planning the learning activities, one of them is in the selection of learning model. This research aims to improve the student activities and learning outcomes in the course of chemistry food materials using problem solving learning models integrated with video media. This research was a classroom action research, which consists of 3 cycles. The participants were students of the chemistry education study program who enrol chemistry food materials courses in the odd semester of academic year 2017/2018, totally 35 people. The data analysis technique is by calculating the average value and classical learning completeness. The data were gathered from test in the end of every cycle. It was found that the student's ability in learning process improved after the implementation of Problem Solving model. It could be seen in the improvement of average score for each test, from 78,81 in cycle I, 80,18 in cycle II to 85,69 in cycle III. In addition, classically learning completeness of students also improved, from 82,86 % in cycle I, 88,57 in cycle II to 100 % in cycle III.
Analysis of learning behaviour based on edX open data
Since 2012, the continuous development of MOOC has triggered new thinking and research in many aspects, and the massive data it generates provides a foundation for learning behaviour analysis and education data research. edX is a new field of Web education jointly developed by Harvard University and MIT integrating educational resources. Based on the first MOOC open data set released by edX, through the use of data analysis methods, the learners in edX are studied from the three aspects of learner type, learner characteristics, and learner behaviour to show the actual situation of MOOC learning.
Improving The Quality of Mathematics Learning Based On Society's Potency in Junior High School
The objectives of this study were to describe the society's empowerment in improving the quality of the learning media, learning process, and learning assessment in school. This research applied qualitative with ethnography research design. The data were collected by in-depth interview, observation, and documentation; while the data analysis technique used was the interactive analysis. The results of the study showed the following conclusions. (1) In order to gain good quality learning, it is a must to prepare a good learning media. The minimum component in developing the learning media (syllabus and lesson plan) must content the learning objectives, learning material, study source, and learning assessment. (2) The learning process must use various ways to encourage students' interest and curiosity, including using various methods, using language styles that are not monotonous, asking questions that guide students' creativity, using multi-method and multimedia, and giving assignments individually and in groups to students. (3) The assessment becomes a very important thing to determine the level of success in the learning that has been done.
Identification of debriefing 21 st century skills on aspects of critical thinking skills and communication skills in Bengkulu high school students in physics subjects
This research was aimed (1) to identify category the 21st Century skills in the aspects of critical thinking skills of Bengkulu City High School students in physics subjects (2) to identify category the 21st Century skills on the aspects of communication skills of Bengkulu City High School students in physics subjects. The type of this research was Descriptive Research. The research samples was 90th grade Mathematics and Natural Sciences amounted to 90 students, MIPA class XI amounted to 90 students, and MIPA class XII amounted to 20 students from 3 high schools of Bengkulu City namely SMAN 2 of Bengkulu City, SMAN 4 of Bengkulu City, and SMAN 10 of Bengkulu City. The research was on 18 February - 22 March 2019. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The results of the data obtained were then triangulated and described with narrative text. Based on data analysis obtained debriefing 21st century skills on aspects of critical thinking skills students high school of Bengkulu City in physics subjects was in the sufficient category with an average score of 3.61 and obtained debriefing 21st Century skills on aspects of communication skills of Bengkulu City High School students in physics with an average score of 3.97 was in the good category.
Description intermediate conception in learning Physics
Some previous research have showed that Physics concept has abstract characteristic, difficult, and complex. This characteristic causes the students to have knowledge, understanding, and various conceptions. Students' various conceptions in Physics learning causes the emergence of discrepancy between alternative and scientific conception called as Intermediate conception. This research aims to description of intermediate conception in learning Physics. This research was qualitative research with literature review design. Data collection was conducted by collecting some literatures either articles or books related to intermediate conception. Data analysis was done by conducting analysis and articles and books synthesis and then drew a conclusion. The research results show that intermediate conception can be described as the conception between alternative conception and scientific conception which represent the pieces of ideas or concepts that have lead to science. Intermediate conception can be categorized into; naive physics, phenomenological intermediate primitives, lateral intermediate conception, and ontological intermediate conception.
The analysis of physics concepts application on the foundation structure of the Jambi's traditional house to build character education
The concept of physics can be applied to aspects of customs and culture in order to preserve local wisdom. One way to introduce the customs and culture of the local area can be done by studying traditional houses. The foundation structure of the Jambi's traditional house uses wooden poles arranged to support the weight above where. Mass of each pole has a correlation with the amount of load that has been distributed evenly. The purpose of this study is to analyse and explain the application of physics concepts in the foundation structure of traditional Jambi houses and to build character education to new generation. The process of collecting data is done by interview, observation, and documentation. The results of interview section are about the advantage of using wood, philosophy and meaning of foundation structure. Based on the data analysis of observation, it is shown that the mass of each pole is strong enough to support the live and dead load that has been analysed. Because it has a pole mass greater than the distributed load. So this can educate the new generation to know the process of making foundation structures with certain calculations that can be analysed through physics concept.
