2020
The teaching of procedural skills required for clinical practice remains an ongoing challenge in healthcare education. Health professionals must be competent to perform a wide range of clinical skills, and are also regularly required to teach these clinical skills to their peers, junior staff, and students. Teaching of procedural skills through the use of frameworks, observation and provision of feedback, with opportunities for repeated practice assists in the learners’ acquisition and retention of skills. With a focus on the teaching of non-complex skills, this paper explores how skills are learned; ways to improve skill performance; determining competency; and the provision of effective feedback.

Methodology proposal of the creation of competency models and competency model for the position of a sales manager in an industrial organisation using the AHP method and Saaty's method of determining weights
2019
The aim of this paper is to create a competency model for the position of a sales manager in a manufacturing industry organisation according to the proposed methodology of the competency models creation. The competency model will be created using the AHP method and Saaty's method of determining weights. There is briefly explained the issue of competencies and competency models in the introductory part of the paper and then the used methods are clarified. The application part of the paper describes the methodology of the competency model creation and the process of the competency model creation for the position of a sales manager. The proposed methodology for the creation of competency models can be used in organisations of various specialisation and for any job position. Created competency models can be mainly used for employee selection, training and development, employee evaluation and remuneration.

This study examines the determinant factors of women's empowerment in Chepén, Peru, during 2024, analyzing how socioeconomic status potentially moderates this relationship. Using a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, the research surveyed 367 women aged 22-52 years through digital questionnaires employing validated scales. The results revealed that both internal factors (individual and collective psychological competencies) and external factors (economic and cultural conditions) significantly influence female empowerment (β = 0.57, p = 0.049 and β = 0.87, p = 0.039, respectively). Contrary to our hypothesis, socioeconomic status did not significantly moderate these relationships (internal factors × socioeconomic level: β = 0.02, p = 0.323; external factors × socioeconomic level: β = -0.02, p = 0.584). The models demonstrated strong explanatory power, with internal factors explaining 84.3% and external factors explaining 58.5% of the variance in women's empowerment. The study found moderate levels of autonomy and decision-making (44.8%) and cultural dimensions (43.3%). While 76.1% of participants had higher education, 41.8% earned below PEN 1500, highlighting a significant education-income gap. These findings suggest that psychological competencies and sociocultural environment enhancement are more critical than initial economic conditions for promoting women's empowerment across all socioeconomic strata. The study recommends implementing targeted public policies to improve cultural and economic conditions, establish flexible educational programs, and promote dignified employment opportunities that recognize women's capabilities regardless of socioeconomic background.

Objectives of the study The objectives of the study were to: 1. determine two academic levels of UG students' clinical competency in Subcutaneous insulin administration 2. compare the clinical competency(knowledge skill and professional behavior) of these two levels of UG students in Subcutaneous insulin administration 3. find correlation between the knowledge and skill, knowledge and professional behavior, skill and professional behavior in Subcutaneous insulin administration. 4. identify the factors influencing both academic levels of UG students' clinical competency in Subcutaneous insulin administration Hypotheses: All the components will be measured in relation to Insulin administration and tested at 0.05 level of significance. OBJECTIVE Identify the factors influencing both academic levels UG students' clinical competency in subcutaneous insulin administration Majority of the students opined that, Procedure demonstration by the teacher, Teachers' approachability and ability to understand students' difficulties, Opportunities to present cases with Diabetes mellitus, Unbiased clinical evaluation, Students interest in giving insulin injection, Confidence while performing the clinical procedures are factors facilitating their clinical competency.

This work is a review of a collaborative exercise on mtDNA analysis undertaken by the Italian working group (Ge.F.I.). A total of 593 samples from 11 forensic genetic laboratories were subjected to hypervariable region (HVS-I/HVS-II) sequence analysis. The raw lane data were sent to MtDNA Population Database (EMPOP) for an independent evaluation. For the inclusion of data for the Italian database, quality assurance procedures were applied to the control region profiles. Only eight laboratories with a final population sample of 395 subjects passed the quality conformance test. Control region haplogroup (hg) assignments were confirmed by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) typing of the most common European hg-diagnostic sites. A total of 306 unique haplotypes derived from the combined analysis of control and coding region polymorphisms were found; the most common haplotype —CRS, 263, 309.1C, 315.1C/¬7025 AluI– was shared by 20 subjects. The majority of mtDNAs detected in the Italian population fell into the most common west Eurasian hgs: R0a (0.76%), HV (4.81%), H (38.99%), HV0 (3.55%), J (7.85%), T (13.42%), U (11.65%), K (10.13%), I (1.52%), X (2.78%), and W (1.01%).

2012
This paper provides an understanding of performance evaluation as a valuable tool in determining the strengths and weaknesses of a maintenance worker. The Maintenance Workforce Competency Model is introduced to embrace these key facets. In this paper, the development process of the model is presented as a tool to gauge or quantify the maintenance workforce's competency, by considering their intrinsic personal traits. The developed model aims to represent the workforce's competency level in carrying out their tasks, and whether or not they have performed their assigned tasks. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
