Dancing Rupestres: the radical of the body in intentional aesthetic movement
2022
The text presents a critical analysis of the roots of dance from the perspective of historical and dialectical materialism, the formulations of Marx and Engels, and of the Marxist aesthetes who followed them, proposing a study of the concept, reason and purpose of dance for the human race. It approaches themes such as work as the founding category of the human being. It then discusses human body movement as free creation work, intentional body movements of work and the process of their transition into dance movements. Finally, based on studies on human manifestations developed on the aesthetic level, it shows how the human being arrived at dance as art.

Object and consciousness in dialectical materialism. A contribution to the theory of social communication
2017
The aim of the paper is to describe one of the theories of man, then of those regarding language and communication. There are many concepts related to these categories. Most of them define man as an independent being from outside, significant external influences. Dialectical materialism goes a different way in which man is a part of material world. Moreover, our language and communication have their roots and exist in the objective environment.

Hegel, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich, 1770-1831
2019,2018
Evald Ilyenkov is a unique figure among the many interesting (and many dull) Soviet thinkers that have recently been introduced to English-speaking readers. Although a thoroughly academic philosopher (both in the choice of his subject matter and in his institutional locations), Ilyenkov's ideas are presented in a manner that one does not often find among academics. Texts selected for this collection are not the only texts dedicated to Hegel and dialectics but they are representative of Ilyenkov's main themes and interests. It is hoped that this collection will continue to draw interest to the Soviet engagement with Hegel and dialectics.
Tillie Olsen and the Dialectical Philosophy of Proletarian Literature
2018,2020
Contrary to previous studies of Tillie Olsen's writing, Tillie Olsen and the Dialectical Philosophy of Proletarian Literature analyzes the impact of one of the most important philosophies of the last century, dialectical materialism, on the form and content of Olsen's fiction. By revealing the unconceptualized dialectics of Olsen's work and its appreciation by scholars and casual readers, this study achieves a dialectical synthesis that incorporates and extends the insights of and about Olsen in terms of dialectical materialism. By foregrounding Olsen's dialectical approach, it explains and largely resolves apparent contradictions between her Marxism and feminism; her depictions of class, race, and gender; the literature of her earlier and later periods; and her use of realist and modernist literary forms and techniques. Consequently, this project makes a case for the importance of Olsen's Marxist education during the \"Red Decade\" of the 1930s and within the U.S. proletarian literary movement.
Absolute recoil : towards a new foundation of dialectical materialism
\"In this major new work the leading philosopher Slavoj Žižek argues that philosophical materialism has failed to meet the key scientific, theoretical and political challenges of the modern world, from relativity theory and quantum physics to Freudian psychoanalysis and the failure of twentieth-century Communism. To bring materialism up to date, Žižek proposes a new foundation for dialectical materialism. He argues that dialectical materialism is the only true philosophical inheritor of what Hegel designates as the speculative approach of thought - all other forms of materialism fail. In Absolute Recoil, Žižek offers a startling reformulation of the ground and possibilities of contemporary philosophy\"-- Provided by publisher.

Dialectical materialism
2023
