Advancing the Work on Ancient Classics in the New Era and Accelerating Innovative and Intelligent Development
The promulgation of the Opinions on Advancing the Management Work on Ancient Classics in the New Era brought great development opportunities to the research on protection and management of ancient books and documents, the innovative development of digital humanities and the upgrading of cultural industry. Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, the work on protection and management of ancient books and documents in China has achieved fruitful results. In order to advance the management work on ancient classics in the new era, and promote the sharing, publicity and reuse of ancient books and docuemnts, the Journal of Library and Information Science in Agriculture organized a special seminar on four directions.1)Computing humanities should become an important discipline method for the research and management work of ancient books and docuemnts in the new era. By making full use of computing humanities' theories and methods, and giving full play to the advantages of the knowledge base of ancient classics and related knowledge service platforms in humanities computing, semantic publishing and cultural popularization, more abundant resource base, more convenient technical support and more intuitive promotion form for the work on ancient classics in the New Era will be obtained.2)Data intelligence empowerment brings new opportunities to the development of ancient classics. In recent years, with the progress of image OCR recognition, natural language processing and machine learning technologies and their successful applications in the managment work on ancient books and documents, the management work on ancient classics has begun to advance from digital development to intelligent development.3)New technologies are explored for the sharing, publicity and reuse of ancient classics. Although the professionals in the industry of ancient books have been reducing the cost of and limitation to sharing ancient books by establishing the normative guarantee at the institutional level and exploring technological forces for a long time, they still fail to achieve the ideal effect on how to achieve the balance between preservation and utilization. The introduction of new technologies such as blockchain, the new business models such as non-homogeneous tokens, and the initial formation of new digital media industry chains such as \"virtual digital human\" and \"digital collections\" will provide new opportunities for the asset-based management of ancient books, and the development of cultural and creative products and the evidence-based on-chain based on the digital content of ancient books.4)Vitality and utilization of ancient books is the new task for the professionals in the industry. The aim can be achieved by using the text-orientation, datafication and knowledgeization as the means of transformation and utilization of ancient book resources in the new era, actively building the national digital resource platform of ancient books, and constructing the ancient book knowledge system through artificial intelligence, virtual reality technologies, and other intelligent media.

Paradigm Construction and Scene Embedding of Library Digital Collection Value Chain from the Perspective of Metaverse
[Purpose/Significance] As an important entry scenario into the application layer of the meta universe, digital collections can not only solve the identity authentication and rights governance problems of digital resources in the meta universe, but also become an important interface connecting a library's physical entity and the virtual space of the meta universe. At present, digital collections have attracted much attention in digital art, digital publishing, digital cultural creation, museums and other fields, but relatively little attention has been paid in the field of libraries. As a new business form in the digital economy era, digital collectibles have typical characteristics such as uniqueness, traceability, immutability, and ease of ownership confirmation. They are the perfect display of digitalization, virtualization, and ownership confirmation of library collection resources (such as books, ancient books, map literature resources, and various digital resources) in the metaverse space of libraries. Therefore, based on a scientific definition of the connotation and characteristics of library digital collections, we attempt to explore their value chain of \"resources creativity casting dissemination service\". [Method/Process] This article analyzes the differences and connections between the metaverse and digital collectibles, explains the connotation and characteristics of library digital collectibles, and conducts in-depth analysis of the paradigm construction of library digital collectibles' value chain from the perspective of the metaverse from five dimensions: resource end, creative end, casting end, distribution end, and service end. The scene embedding of its value chain is divided into structural embedding. There are three modes of functional embedding and memory embedding and they are explained separately. [Result/Conclusion] Research suggests that digital collections mainly originate from NFT, which is a local concept of NFT's localization of digital assets in China. Digital collections mainly include works of art, ancient books and documents, precious cultural relics, digital cultural creation, digital publications, model surroundings, news collections, digital music, 3D models and other types. Their digital resources are mainly text, images, audio, video and 3D models. Their creation sources are mainly from physical entity resources and virtual digital resources. Library digital collections are generated based on the policy environment, technical conditions, resource structure, business characteristics, and cultural precipitation in which Chinese libraries are located. They strip away the attributes of NFT virtual finance and virtual currency, and have Chinese characteristics and library business characteristics. Blockchain (especially alliance chain) technology is used to digitize the casting, distribution, and circulation of library specific collection resources, literature resources, or digital resources, the only trusted digital rights certificate provided for collection and use.
On the Practical Needs, Theoretical Framework, and Implementation Strategies for Constructing a Trusted Data Space for Library Digital Special Collections
[Purpose/Significance] The digital characteristic collections of libraries are facing significant challenges in terms of data circulation and value, which greatly limits their potential utility. To address these issues, this study proposes to establish a trusted data space specifically designed for the digital special collections of libraries. The main objective is to reduce the costs related to trust and promote the full utilization of its multi-dimensional value in areas such as cultural heritage protection, academic research, industrial innovation, and social education. By creating a secure and interoperable environment for data sharing, the plan aims to transform the way digital special collections are managed, accessed and utilized, thereby enhancing their contribution to broader social goals. [Method/Process] This study centers on the trusted data space to explore the cross-domain circulation and value release mechanism of digital specials. It aims to build a dedicated and trusted data space for libraries, break down data barriers, and activate multi-dimensional value. The investigation follows a structured approach centered on requirements analysis, framework construction and strategy formulation. This research is based on the concept and technical foundation of the trusted data space, taking into account the unique attributes and sharing requirements of digital special collections. A comprehensive theoretical framework has been developed and centers around three core capability streams: resource interaction, trusted governance, and value co-creation. These flows are supported by a five-layer architecture model: infrastructure, data interaction, data elementization, intelligent services, and value realization. To illustrate the practical application of this framework, typical usage scenarios were analyzed to demonstrate how special collected data can be transformed from raw resources into valuable assets, and the characteristics and key tasks of specific stages were examined in detail. In addition, a multi-faceted implementation strategy has been proposed to address real-world challenges, including stakeholder reluctance, technological heterogeneity, and conflicts in rights management. These strategies emphasize the development of intelligent resources, the integration of multi-modal and heterogeneous technologies, policy incentive mechanisms, and the establishment of a sound data element market. [Results/Conclusions] The trusted data space proposed in this paper provides a systematic and effective solution for the trusted circulation and efficient utilization of cultural data. It transforms digital characteristic collections into open and reusable assets, thereby significantly enhancing the quality and scope of public cultural services. This development is in line with and supports the national strategic goals of building a \"cultural power\" and a \"Digital China\". Looking ahead, future research should prioritize the shift from theoretical conceptualization to practical implementation. This includes integrating technical solutions with actual service workflows and clarifying the unique role of libraries in the broader data ecosystem. To ensure long-term success and influence, key challenges such as sustainable business models and scientific and reasonable evaluation mechanisms must be addressed.

A Photogrammetry-Based Workflow for the Accurate 3D Construction and Visualization of Museums Assets
Nowadays digital replicas of artefacts belonging to the Cultural Heritage (CH) are one of the most promising innovations for museums exhibitions, since they foster new forms of interaction with collections, at different scales. However, practical digitization is still a complex task dedicated to specialized operators. Due to these premises, this paper introduces a novel approach to support non-experts working in museums with robust, easy-to-use workflows based on low-cost widespread devices, aimed at the study, classification, preservation, communication and restoration of CH artefacts. The proposed methodology introduces an automated combination of acquisition, based on mobile equipment and visualization, based on Real-Time Rendering. After the description of devices used along the workflow, the paper focuses on image pre-processing and geometry processing techniques adopted to generate accurate 3D models from photographs. Assessment criteria for the developed process evaluation are illustrated. Tests of the methodology on some effective museum case studies are presented and discussed.
