B2B Solutions Using WebSphere Business Connection
2003
This IBM IBM Redbooks publication describes the use of the
WebSphere Business Connection product to create
business-to-business solutions. The first part of the book
introduces B2B concepts and discusses in detail the installation,
configuration and validation of a WebSphere Business Connection
platform. This set-up involves the preparation of several B2B
gateway components, such as CrossWorldsTPI for AS/2 communication,
WebSphere Data Interchange for EDI data translation and the Web
Services Gateway for the invocation of Web services between trading
partners.
The second part of the book describes the design, implementation
and deployment of an order processing application between the
suppliers of a retailer and the retailer itself. This solution
demonstrates the use of WebSphere Business Connection within a
private exchange.
The third part of the book describes the design, implementation and
deployment of an order processing application between trading
partners that are connected via a service provider that has
implemented WebSphere Business Connection . The trading partners
can use different B2B communication protocols, while the service
provider bridges the different protocols and takes care of routing
requests between trading partners. This solution demonstrates the
use of WebSphere Business Connection within a public exchange. For more up-to-date information about WebSphere B2B, please

Using IBM WebSphere Host Access Transformation Services V5
2004
IBM WebSphere Host Access Transformation Services (HATS)
provides tools to quickly and easily extend your legacy
green-screen applications to the Web. HATS makes your 3270 and 5250
applications available as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) through
Web browsers. It also converts your host screens to a Web look and
feel. Using HATS, you can improve the workflow and navigation of
your host applications without any access or modification to source
code.HATS has a development component called HATS Studio, which runs
in WebSphere Studio. There is no specialized HATS runtime server.
All of the necessary runtime information is deployed into an
Enterprise Archive (EAR) file and runs in WebSphere Application
Server. This IBM Redbooks publication helps you to tailor and configure
the new features that are included with HATS V5. Examples and usage
scenarios demonstrate how to implement many of the new features and
