Reinard Maree, a civil engineer at Edifice Consulting Engineers in Cape Town, was both surprised and deeply grateful when he received the news that he had won R10 000 in SAICE’s Know Your Sector competition. “I honestly cannot recall ever winning prize money before, which makes this even more special,” he shared. The timing of the win could not have been better, as it will help cover the cost of medical equipment recently purchased for his baby girl – an expense that was not covered by medical aid.

Feimer László (1896-1954) az egyik legkitunobb hídtervezo mérnökaki valaha a magyar katonaság kötelékében tevékenykedett. Az általa megalkotott \"K\"-híd olyan szerkezet, amely gyorsan, elore elkészített anyagokból, állványzat nélkül, csavarozással szerelheto híd volt, elsosorban katonai célra. A hídszerkezet magasságának változtatásával (egy, két vagy három sor építésével) 50, 80 és 105 méteres nyílások áthidalására is alkalmas volt. Feimer László munkásságával örökre beírta magát a hídépítés történetébe.
