Effects of Japanese Special Moras Education Using Evernote
In this study, we designed a class model using the Evernote application for the pronunciation learning of special moras, and applied it to a class to verify the learner’s recognition of special moras and the effectiveness of pronunciation duration. This study consisted of 30 students who took an intermediate Japanese language class, which started in the first semester of 2019, and Japanese literature majors who had not yet been in Japan for more than 6 months. We conducted special mora pre- and post-tests and surveyed them. Positive results were obtained based on the research question of whether the application affects the self-awareness of special moras, which represented a significant academic achievement in terms of pronunciation duration. In addition, it was observed that learning using Evernote enabled a significant change in lecture satisfaction through one-to-one feedback work with learners. Although the research results were limited by the small size of the group, it was possible to suggest a method of special moras learning using Evernote, and it is believed that it will help in-class learning in the future.

Proposta de aplicação da análise de conteúdo na construção de um instrumento de coleta de dados audiovisuais
Este artigo consiste em uma das etapas metodológicas de uma pesquisa de mestrado em Ciência da Informação que tem por objetivo desenvolver uma política de informação para gestão de acervos audiovisuais numa universidade pública brasileira e que, para isso, exige a construção de um instrumento para coleta de dados. Apresenta como se deu a construção desse instrumento de pesquisa e de que maneira os primeiros dados coletados foram estruturados e analisados, por meio do método da análise de conteúdo, da técnica de decupagem e do uso do software Evernote. Como fundamentação teórica, aborda as definições para informação audiovisual e destaca os acervos audiovisuais de uma universidade pública brasileira, a fim de contextualizar o ambiente de pesquisa. Discorre acerca da análise de conteúdo à medida que aplica cada fase do método à análise dos vídeos que embasaram o estudo, definindo as categorias e subcategorias correspondentes à produção audiovisual de uma universidade pública federal, onde um programa de televisão foi selecionado para embasar a construção do instrumento de pesquisa. Como amostra, foram selecionados quatro programas intitulados UFCTV, exibidos no mês de junho de 2017, dos quais foram analisados e descritos 24 videotapes no total. Para tanto, apresenta as funcionalidades do software Evernote e discute as suas vantagens para a estruturação do instrumento de coleta de dados para análise de conteúdo audiovisual, com uso de diário de campo eletrônico e configuração de tabela no Evernote para preenchimento dos dados. Conclui que o percurso metodológico pode ser aplicado em pesquisas com outros tipos de acervos audiovisuais, e não somente o televisivo, mas que adequações serão necessárias na composição do instrumento de pesquisa.

Enriching library user’s experience with Evernote
Purpose
Digital information management tools (DIMTs) are used widely for varieties of digital information management. In academics, these tools are being used for the advancement of student productivity, research data management, research consultation, etc. The libraries of universities and institutions use DIMTs for organizing and retrieving varieties of digital information.
Design/methodology/approach
The author studied the various emerging DIMTs and picked Evernote for further study based on the popularity and usage of the tool in the academic system.
Findings
This paper explains how and to what extent Evernote can be used as a DIMT in academics and in the digital library management. Evernote is one of the best options for implementation in the library, especially to train the students to use and enrich their academic and research experience. Evernote definitely adds value to the libraries.
Originality/value
It is found from the study that, Evernote is very handy in handling the research consultation service and manage research projects in libraries.

2 - Capturing information
Not all academic research relies on the capture of formal, scholarly material from books and electronic collections. Many researchers also need to capture non-scholarly content. This type of content can be more challenging to work with, in that the metadata is often less complete than is seen in formal works. Also, the high volume of non-scholarly material can be challenging to address. This chapter will discuss ways to capture and organize non-scholarly web-based material, covering simple, cloud-based bookmarking services such as Pinboard and Delicious, more robust capture tools such as Diigo, Evernote, Springpad, and OneNote, and postponed reading services, which allow users to quickly and easily mark something to be read later, but be accessible across a variety of devices. The chapter will also discuss ways to sync local browser-based bookmarks.
