Spectral features of structuring fractal objects
The spectral characteristics of various geometries aperiodic gratings approximants with fractal properties are considered. The equivalence of the Fibonacci structure approximants Fourier spectra formed by the projection and block methods is shown.
New promises and future challenges of fractal calculus: From two-scale thermodynamics to fractal variational principle
Any physical laws are scale-dependent, the same phenomenon might lead to debating theories if observed using different scales. The two-scale thermodynamics observes the same phenomenon using two different scales, one scale is generally used in the conventional continuum mechanics, and the other scale can reveal the hidden truth beyond the continuum assumption, and fractal calculus has to be adopted to establish governing equations. Here basic properties of fractal calculus are elucidated, and the relationship between the fractal calculus and traditional calculus is revealed using the two-scale transform, fractal variational principles are discussed for 1-D fluid mechanics. Additionally planet distribution in the fractal solar system, dark energy in the fractal space, and a fractal ageing model are also discussed. nema

AN APPROPRIATE BUSINESS STRATEGY FOR SMALL MEDIUM ENTREPRISES: A CASE STUDY OF PIKSEL INDONESIA
The aim of the study is to establish the most appropriate business strategy for Piksel Indonesia which is a creative company focusing on technology and fashion designs, resulting from the batik consumption preferences while planning to use batik products. Data from 338 respondents were randomly collected from several cities in Indonesia. The first section deals with the demographic background of the respondents, and the remaining of the questions deal with the respondents’ impulse towards batik products. The survey results show differences in previous studies. The first difference is the source of information about batik products obtained by the customer. Secondly, the study by the researchers builds on the consumer’s tastes about the batik style and the results are 54.6 percent. Integrated cost leadership/differentiation is Piksel Indonesia’s best business strategy. For Batik Fractal, their batik products brand, low cost was achieved by employing their vendor to produce the product from the minimum overhead. The production flow begins with the order of the customer that the pattern, colour, material and size chart have been determined. JBatik, which is a parametric software to make a new and distinguish batik pattern established by Piksel Indonesia, has no direct competitors at present. As with Batik Fractal, integrated cost management/differentiation strategy is the best strategy.
Fractals: An Eclectic Survey, Part II
Fractals are geometric shapes and patterns that can describe the roughness (or irregularity) present in almost every object in nature. Many fractals may repeat their geometry at smaller or larger scales. This paper is the second (and last) part of a series of two papers dedicated to an eclectic survey of fractals describing the infinite complexity and amazing beauty of fractals from historical, theoretical, mathematical, aesthetical and technological aspects, including their diverse applications in various fields. In this article, our focus is on engineering, industrial, commercial and futuristic applications of fractals, whereas in the first part, we discussed the basics of fractals, mathematical description, fractal dimension and artistic applications. Among many different applications of fractals, fractal landscape generation (fractal landscapes that can simulate and describe natural terrains and landscapes more precisely by mathematical models of fractal geometry), fractal antennas (fractal-shaped antennas that are designed and used in devices which operate on multiple and wider frequency bands) and fractal image compression (a fractal-based lossy compression method for digital and natural images which uses inherent self-similarity present in an image) are the most creative, engineering-driven, industry-oriented, commercial and emerging applications. We consider each of these applications in detail along with some innovative and future ready applications.
