Película sobre la vida volante de los pastores de la Mixteca en Oaxaca, que llevan una vida nómada y solitaria en el monte conviviendo con las cabras, hasta que llega la matanza del ganado cabrío que ocurre cada año. Una tradición que tiene más de cuatrocientos años en la región. Familias enteras participan en la matanza y la preparación de la carne de las cabras, y en el aprovechamiento de pieles, cuernos, y vísceras. La película es, sobre todo, una reflexión sobre la vida y la muerte en la Mixteca, los protagonistas nos hablan de ello y sus pasiones. Están presentes las tradiciones y la música de la región a través de la Orquesta Pasatono, la voz de Lila Downs y un campesino que se pregunta: ¿Qué sueñan las cabras? Film about the flying life of the shepherds of the Mixteca in Oaxaca, who lead a nomadic and solitary life in the mountains living with the goats, until the slaughter of the goats that occurs every year. A tradition that has more than four hundred years in the region. Entire families participate in the slaughter and preparation of the meat of the goats, and in the use of skins, horns, and entrails. The film is, above all, a reflection on life and death in the Mixteca, the protagonists talk to us about it and their passions. The traditions and music of the region are present through the Pasatono Orchestra, the voice of Lila Downs and a farmer who wonders: What do goats dream?
