It's an achievement no Miss West Virginia has yet accomplished, being crowned Miss America. But it's certainly something Goodwin -- daughter of Jenny and Tim Goodwin and sister of Kellie, 27, Kasey, 25 and Karley, 15 -- is dreaming about on her many gym visits, school presentations and interview sessions. \"It is extremely important to take the time leading up to Miss America to prepare both mentally and physically,\" said [Cindy Coffindaffer], \"because these ladies have a truly demanding schedule. The contestants are up at 5 a.m. to prepare for rehearsals, meetings, preshow tapings, appearances and various other activities throughout the week and fall into bed at night around 11 p.m. Which does not leave much time for rest. So taking care of herself is a big part of Kim's preparation. She has been spending time with a trainer to make sure to look her best physically, but also feel her best and her body will be able to withstand the long weeks ahead of her.\" As for how she'll get those mountains of gowns, scads of shoes and awesome amounts of accessories from Morgantown to Las Vegas, Goodwin said that's a question she's not quite ready to answer just yet. Interview practice or no.

Therefore, The Dominion Post was not able to determine if charges have been filed in the matter. Monongalia County Clerk Michael Oliverio and the chairpersons of the county Republican and Democrat parties named their choices for ballot commissioners for a two-year term: Stephen Higgins, a Republican; and William Pennington, a Democrat.

Megan M. Moroz, 26, was injured after a rear-end type collision on Patteson Drive, near Laurel Street, according to a report from Morgantown Police. Moroz was traveling West on Patterson Drive in a red 2002 Toyota when a blue 2005 Toyota, driven by Emma K. Klandorf, 19, of Morgantown struck the rear of her vehicle. Lt. L. Dudley, of Morgantown Fire Department, said, according to witnesses, Moroz was standing between the two cars shortly after the accident, when a third vehicle rear-ended Klandorf's Toyota and pinned Moroz. When fire fighters and EMS arrived, Moroz was sitting on a nearby curb and was conscious and alert. Morgantown Police Officer Rob Balderson said an investigation revealed that [Matt Wilson] likely forgot to put on the standard transmission truck's parking brake before he got out to load the truck. Balderson said vehicles with standard transmissions are typically left in first gear, and the parking brake can be applied to secure the vehicle in park.
